Ithor, a lovely, lush planet that is so well-protected that not even the Ithorians have dared to build cities on it, preferring instead to use floating structures. It's also a planet that, not long ago, endured a Sith attack.

And that was exactly where Clove and Kyosuke were heading to.

After a successful, albeit somewhat quiet flight, their shuttle arrived at one of the many floating cities. Clove had let Kyosuke fly because the Force knew that if she was in charge of the ship, they wouldn't make it to Ithor alive, so the girl kept herself occupied in the back of the shuttle, doodling in her journal. The half-Annfyn unbuckled herself as soon as the shuttle wheels made contact with the metal flooring, tucked everything into her leather bag, and turned towards the ramp.

Clove smiled shyly over her shoulder at Kyosuke as the ramp slowly opened to reveal the ever-green forest beneath the beautiful tall structures that shaped the city. This was, after all, her first mission without her Master, one that she had planned herself. "I'm a little nervous," she admitted, as if explaining her quietness, "but let's go!" Are you all set?"

The Ithorian the Jedi had contacted for the meeting had already made their way outside the building as the Jedi prepared to leave the shuttle. They made their way to the landing bay to greet the Jedi and accompany them to the meeting room.

Kyosuke kept the ride as smooth as possible to make a good impression. From what he'd learned first hand, people often didn't handle his intense form of piloting too well, so he'd make it an easy flight. Also the last time he'd seen Clove she was in a wheelchair, so he figured he should take extra care, just in case. After parking the shuttle and powering it down he'd then unstrap himself and make his way to the back of the ship.

The youthful Knight would slightly blush and look away for a second when Clove smiled at him, then he'd clear his throat as he quickly refocused himself. "I can understand why you'd feel that way. You came up with this plan afterall." He'd stick the front halves of his hands into the pants pockets of his black shimmersilk tunic, the same one of he wore at the funeral he first met the girl at. "It's a good plan. We got this."

Kyo would continue along with her through the rather stunning environment. It was unlike most other planets he'd seen. Most places he visited weren't usually so... Beautiful.

"Ah. You must be the Jedi we have been expecting." The Ithorian that awaited their arrival spoke with a series of gutteral utterances that Kyosuke didn't completely understand. Thankfully the translator around their neck made things clear with a rather pleasant voice and tone.

"Yes." Kyosuke would give a slight bow at the hips as he greeted them and calmly introduced himself. "I am Knight Yamato." He'd then lightly motion his hand over to the Padawan and give her a chance to give her introduction before the Ithorian would begin to lead them toward one of the tall elegant buildings.

"Yeh! I'm sure we will. We've got this. And, thank you. I'm glad you think so." Clove repositioned her cane beneath her arm, her confidence boosted by the Jedi Knight's brief words of encouragement. Dressed in her Jedi Padawan robes, the half-Annfyn began to walk down the ramp together with the Knight.

The planet was stunning, and while she wasn't sure if it was because they were so high in the sky, she couldn't help but imagine herself running through the forests with some animal companions by her side. It truly was a world unexplored by anyone. Yes, they've come to the right place.

The half-Annfyn raised her large chocolate brown eyes to the Ithorians, who greeted them in a language she didn't understand. But, thankfully, the translator performed admirably, repeating what the Ithorians had said in a pleasant Galactic Basic voice. Kyosuke seemed to take the lead, so, Clove stood next to him with a smile drawn on her lips. And when she saw the hand gesture, she respectfully lowered her head to introduce herself. "I'm Padawan Vanhoop. It's a pleasure to meet you."

One of the slightly shorter Ithorians spoke up as the Ithorians began to lead the Jedi to their meeting room. "Your call, Master Jedi, took us by surprise. There aren't many Jedi who contact us or come to see us. Although I assume this is due to the fact that there isn't much for the Jedi to do here."

Clove smiled warmly, her head slightly tilted to the right. "While this may be true, the Ithorians are still the masters of their craft. Plus, it's been said that you make the best tea! One that is so delicious that it is well worth the journey." She paused, before looking at the Jedi Knight with a grin. "I'm sure you've heard the same, Master Yamato?"

The Ithorian laughed softly, or Clove imagined it was a laugh given the sounds she had never heard before. "We best ask our assistance to prepare you a cup of tea then."

During their conversation, the Jedi were led into a hallway with a tall elegant glass door on their right hand. Behind the door was a room that looked like a light congress room, with many windows that provided the Jedi with a spectacular view of the city and the surrounding nature. "Here we are."

Not really sure what tea everyone referred to, and slightly caught off guard by being called a Master, Kyosuke figured he should probably just go with Padawan Vanhoop. "Indeed." Best to keep it simple for now he figured. The Knight would then refocus and keep a subtle level of vigilance as the group made their way to the meeting.

He didn't get the feeling that anyone meant them any harm, and Ithorians weren't really the type to do that anyway, but nonetheless he'd remain resolute in his charge to keep the recovering Padawan safe. After all, it was only a couple months ago that he'd seen her in a wheelchair. He'd be as discreet as he could about it though, giving off a calm and chill demeanor so as to not attract any attention to them.

Eventually the group would be ushered to their seats, and the several Ithorians that were present would spend a few minutes to politely conduct introductions with the visitors.

"Honor to meet you all." Kyosuke would give a respectful bow of the head to the others, before he'd gradually turn his gaze toward Clove, and all eyes would fall to her.

Clove sat down, her hands neatly folded on the table. While she tried to keep a straight and relaxed face, the Force could tell she was giddy with excitement and nervousness. Deep breathes in, deep breathes in... Everything would be okay.

During the small round of introductions, Clove nodded her head to every Ithorians. "It's indeed an honor, and thank you for your time, I'm sure everyone is incredibly busy."

That's when all eyes were drawn to Clove. She swallowed and straightened her spine slightly. She had practiced this so many times, her little speech that would hopefully convince the Ithorians to help the Jedi order. She could do it. Hopefully. "I've requested this meeting because we, the Jedi, need your help. Kashyyyk was glassed by the Sith, as you may have seen on the news. I was there during the attack and saw the damage caused. Kashyyk's ecological system took a hit that I'm not sure it can recover from. Not without help. And what's where we need your help. The Ithorians are masters of terraforming, and you've accomplished feats that many consider miraculous. And Kashyyyk needs a miracle." Clove took a brief pause, correcting her posture and reminding herself to stop fiddling with her fingers. "Together with your help, we wish to rebuild Kashyyyk as much as possible. Enough to give the ecological system a boost big enough that it can do the rest on its own."

There was a brief moment of silence before the Ithorians began to murmur amongst themselves. The smaller Ithorian then asked the first question. "And how do you intend to accomplish this?"

Clove cleared her throat and smiled faintly. "We have capable Jedi who can collect native seeds, bulbs, and whatever else you can think of. We don't, however, have the resources to cultivate them at a mass scale. That's where you would help. Animals, which we can collect for breeding, can be treated similarly. We can slowly plant the flora and fauna on the surface of Kashyyyk by growing and breeding them, and thus rebuild the ecological system." She took a breather to take a sip of the tea that had been delivered to the Jedi at some point during her talk. "Of course, more than just native flora and fauna would be required. Importing other worlds' lifeforms is equally important. It'd be similar to the Telosian Restoration Project, where you've helped as well."

Her gaze darted around the room, waiting for the Ithorians to respond.

"So we help you save Kashyyyk. Heal the planet, regrow the forest, repopulate the wildlife. What's to prevent the Empire from repeating their actions? From razing it all again?" The elegantly dressed Ithorian who ran the terraforming project calmly addressed the two Jedi. Her large black bulbs gradually drifted back and forth between them, seemingly intent on gauging their reactions.

"And what happens when they attack us for helping your Order?" A somewhat heftier than average Ithorian added, referring to the claim that the Sith bombarded the planet to punish the FWA for helping the Jedi.

"Then we'll stand with Kashyyyk and Ithor again." Kyo hastily responded, suddenly aware that he didn't really have the authority to represent the Order's military operations. "I can't promise any logistics on forces, or offer you any insight into our strategies, but I can promise you that the Jedi aren't going to idly standby anymore while the Sith go around burning the galaxy." He slowly took in a deep steady breath and released it, keeping himself calm as he continued to deliver his response to the Ithorians who looked like they'd pretty much expected his first answer.

"In the meantime..." The youthful Knight shifted his posture while he resteadied himself and flicked his raven fringe to the side. "We'd like to do what's right, which is reaching out." Kyo then glanced at Clove with a compassionate little smile at the edge of his lips, and gave the Padawan a gentle nod to show her he was proud of her before he'd turn his attention back to the Ithorians. "If there's something we can all do to help Kashyyyk rise from the ashes, then let's do it."

As Knight Yamato wrapped up his input another murmur between the Ithorians began. Kyo would then slowly tilt his head over to the expressive girl, and lean a couple feet away from her long pointy ear as he spoke with a hushed tone, "Do we have much else to offer?"

Clove was grateful that Kyosuke jumped in with some rather impressive responses. She smiled up at him, her eyes sparkling with the amazement she felt for the Jedi's diplomatic talks.

The Ithorians in the room, like Clove, appeared to be pleased with the answer. Some individuals nodded, while others began to scribble something on their datapads. "Yes, I see. I hope you understand that this is a huge risk we're taking, Master Jedi, but if the Jedi promises to be there for us if we need them, then that's something we find relief in. We can't deny that the Jedi gave their all in defending Ithor during the Sith invasion months ago."

The half-Annfyn looked up at the Knight before returning her gaze to the Ithorians. The smaller Ithorian lowered her datapad and spoke up again before she could open her mouth. "What about the expenses? Who will cover such a massive undertaking? We understand the Jedi are short on funds, and we are on a tight budget following the invasion. We have a lot of work to do on our own, you see."

"That is something we understand. We intend to raise funds from sponsors, preferably affluent CEOs whose interests align with ours. However, in order to obtain sponsorships, you must have a solid plan. That's why we came to you first. We hope that if we can reach an agreement, it will be sufficient to secure the sponsorships we require." She took a deep breath and paused. "But if we can't find any sponsors within a reasonable time frame, the Jedi have the option of borrowing enough credits to fund the start of this project." That access came from her own wallet; she still had plenty of credits left over for the hospital project, but if it meant investing in Kashyyyk first, so be it.

Clove's ears twitched nervously as she heard the Ithorians debating their responses. She raised her eyes to the Knight once more, giving him a hopeful grin before returning her gaze to the men and women on the other side of the table.

The Ithorians were hesitant, looking between each other as they considered the financial situation. A couple of them disappointedly shook their heads, while a few others reluctantly nodded. The undecided ones shrugged, and with that it seemed that the majority had been decided, though it was uneasy.

"So there is maybe -some- funding." The project leader added enough extra emphasis to point out the fact that the group had doubts about the financial backing.

"Well..." Kyosuke chimed back in as he tried to catch the subject with a rebound. "Perhaps there are a few things we could help you with?" The Knight glanced over to the Padawan with a slight hint of uncertainty on his face as he gave her a shrug like he thought this gambit might be worth a shot.

Then he'd turn his head back to the rest of the Ithorians before adding, "Not just the two of us, but however many Jedi you all think you'd need to make up for whatever costs we are unable to cover in the end."
