After some thought, Cait decided the best course of action was to simply rip the deed out of the second owners cold dead hands.... hopefully, anyway. He had refused to even see her and because of this she had hired a couple mercs to break into the mine and attack him while he was visiting it. It was still somewhat risky for her to be here and she might even follow them inside to aid them from a distance, but she considered herself more businesswomen than Sith and wanted to get into the habit of sticking her neck out the least amount as possible—like a real Hutt.

Cait was decked out though, gathering the Force and had a blaster clutched in her left hand, but decided to hang back behind cover and completely out of sight for now. She'd let the two mercs work out the best course of action; she didn't know if they'd go headlong into the mine or what, but they knew that the goal was to get to the mine owner and kill or subdue him.

All three of them had comms on their helmets, so they could deliver information and instructions to one another in a snap should they need it. While the young businesswomen didn't know these mercs all too well, they looked like they could handle themselves so she was decently confident things would be okay. If not, well, she might not be leaving Ryloth.

Gil had been working to build up his own reputation and recently gathered a few members of a new gang for himself. They were small, unknown, but with Gil at the helm, he was sure they could do great things. He was a little surprised when he was contacted by an associate of Cait Aislinn with a job offer. He didn't really want to leave Nar Shaddaa, but this was a good opportunity.

He had been to the Lusty Lekku a few times, and he definitely had enjoyed himself there, but more importantly, he had heard rumors of the things Ms. Aislinn had going on. She seemed like a good person to befriend. So he had come to Ryloth. He hoped it would be a quick trip out and back. He had been briefed on what their goal was, seemed straight forward enough.

They had met a while ago and found outside the mine. He hadn't met his partner on this mission, but he assumed he at least had the same skills as he did. Gil wore his ranger scout armor with both pistols on his hip. He also carried a blade on his back in case it came to that. He was more competent with his blasters, but he had been practicing with the vibrosword and wasn't half bad.

"So how we doin' this?" he asked quietly, his voice distorted somewhat by the helmet. He ran a coin through his fingers, something he had recently picked up to keep his hands busy. His life had grown exponentially dangerous since he had come to Nar Shaddaa, and while he had come a long way from the coward he was on Corellia, his stomach still fluttered with anxiousness.

"How the lady wantsss usss to do thisss" The Trandoshan answered through the comms, the helmet scrambling his voice so no one would be able to understand him save for his two companions "I am confident in my abilitiesss, if ssshe wantsss usss to jussst go in gunsss blazing, I am more than ready for a masssacre" Sunverkh said, confidence on his voice as he said those words, the bounty hunter had been fighting his whole life, hunting down criminals of all types, sometimes he tracked them down and captured him by surprise, sometimes he made his way though their goons before confronting them directly.

Sunverkh was currently wearing his bounty hunter armor, his two blaster pistols held in his hands, the Renegade blaster pistol in his right hand and the DH-7 in the other, his vibro-sword in his back and his power packs and grenades ready to be used, the Trandoshan bounty hunter was looking forward to what was going to happen next, not only because it was always fun to shoot at something, but also because...well, he hadn't used the Renegade pistol on a living, armored target yet, he wanted to see how well it did against people yet, and this was the perfect change to prove its effectiveness.

Vance Ruary was not an honest businessman.

No, Vance was a well known crook, known for the quickdraw blaster pistol he kept inside the holster under his arm, hidden by his suit jacket. It was almost poetic. His suit covered his lethal weapon just as this mine covered the fact that the man himself was not clean by any stretch of the imagination.

He wasn't as big as he wanted to be but he was confident that he could change that - there was a deal coming through soon that would see him catapulted to the top of the heap.

But for now it was just him with the mine and a light mob of men and weapons.

"Time for a cigara."

Without waiting, he spun on his heel and advanced towards the entrance to the mine, hand inside his suit jacket as he rooted around inside for his cigara. In front of him, his two personal guards advanced protectively. They cut intimidating figures in their heavy armour with their duel pistols. They would lead the way, covering him from the front, on their way up to the entrance of the mine.

Cait was about to answer the comfortingly confident merc when she peaked out from her hiding spot to look at the entrance, to see if any guards had moved in. However, she caught the sight of her target instead. He was coming out of the mine! This was probably the best situation because they wouldn't have to run around the mine like chickens with their heads cut off to to find him.

"He's coming out of the mine," Cait piped up finally, but in a hushed voice. "Take him out!"

The Sith businesswomen kept her body hidden—only a small part of her face was exposed to peak out—but she was ready to duck back in if needed and she continued to gather the Force. Her icy blue eye fixated on the men in front of her target however... in an unexpectedly predatory way. The amount of Force—the amount of Dark Side—she had gathered and continued to gather made it hard to resist just jumping into the fray and going ham even though they were about 40 meters away from her, because she had stayed back. It made her almost... hunger for battle. It was something she hadn't experienced in awhile. But, of course, she knew better than to do that.

She really hadn't given them any real instruction. He never really liked having employers come out on jobs. It meant you had to keep them safe because dead employers rarely pay. At best, if they faced them head on it would be an even match. They needed this to be over quickly so they could get out. I didn't know if he could trust this woman, but he was sure the other merc would play along as long as he thought it was the best way to get paid.

"Alright." he said facing the trandoshan. "Ill move around to that ledge over there." he said pointing behind him to a group of rocks on top of the hill. "I will draw their fire and you can take them out from a different angle." he said. "Wait until I fire on them..." he said before pulling back the way he had come.

The hill made it easy for him to move around to the other cover. He was about 50 feet from where he originally had been. He took a deep breath. "This better be worth it.." he mumbled to himself.

He stood, yelling, and firing both of his pistols a couple of times. He was aiming for their target but was more concerned about drawing their fire. He would quickly duck behind cover if the fire against him became too great. Hopefully, they would come through on their part.

The Trandoshan listened to the near human's plan in silence, it was a simple plan, but one that could do the trick "Alright then...letsss do thisss." The mercenary said through the comms, moving in the opposite direction of Gilian, getting closer to Vance Ruary and his goons, Sunverkh would obviously not approach them in the open so the three men could see him, instead, he would be using the mine equipment and spice crates as cover, advancing from one cover to another in order to get close to the target without being easily seen.

By the time Gillian was shooting at the target in order to draw their attention, the Trandoshan would have already flanked them, standing behind a medium sized crate approximately twenty meters away from them, Sunverkh would wait until they focused on Gilian (or until they were aware of his presence, in which case it was better to shoot first) to shoot at them, focusing on the guard that would be closest to him with the heavy blaster pistol, shooting twice at his torso, wanting to make sure one of the bolts would hit, With his other blaster he would shoot three times at Vance Ruary, seeing how he lacked armor, one of those shots would probably do the job as well. If all went according to plan, two of the three people they had to take care of would already be dead.

Vance Ruary didn't survive his time on the streets and his time fighting violent men and women by being foolish. It was, arguably, only his smarts that had allowed him to live this long. Sure, he was a decent gunslinger but that was a credit a dozen in the wildness of the Outer Rim. It was the brain between his ears that made him different to the others and it was that same brain that made him dangerous.

When Gillian started shooting, Vance and his guards would scatter to avoid the fire. One of the guards would return fire with both of his pistols, laying down enough fire to force the attack to seek cover. Thankfully Sunverkh didn't attack at the same time - giving Vance enough time to speak and draw his pistol.

"Prepare for the second attack." he told his other guard bluntly, "No one shouts and screams like that unless they're a distraction."

The most logical thing was to flank them since getting behind them would mean that Sunverkh would have to have gotten into the mine and come back out. Vance covered one side and his remaining guard covered the other - Sunverkh popping out to fire was immediately noticed and the guard would start blasting before the attacker could get off more than one shot.

Vance himself would avoid any shots by dashing to one side. While Sunverkh was getting suppressed by the fire of the guard, Vance would swing around the cover the attacker had gotten for himself and fire twice at Sunverkh's chest. Using his pistol however, this would actually fire four blaster rounds at the man.

As soon as Cait saw the guards and her target begin to scatter she reacted. She poured all the power she was gathering into a Force push (spawning it in front of the guards). Not a wide push that covered a large area, but one with less width and much more length. A concentrated Force push aimed at the men's (guards and her targets) legs. If everything went to plan, it'd sweep through all three men's legs like a wave and violently so, as it would be concentrated into a smaller width and powered with all of the Force she had been saving up; it would be something akin to getting a metal pole swung at their legs.

This would hopefully cut off the guard's shots at her merc(s) by making the guards face-plant into the ground. It might not be able to cut off the first shot, but certainly shots after that until they hit the ground and regained their senses, if her attack was successful. Neither the guards or her target had noticed her yet though, therefore no shots were aimed at her. She did not move out of cover either or make any sudden movements outside of her fingers wiggling and a slight jerk of her arm during the push. After she was ready to duck back fully behind her cover if need be.

Sunverkh would acknowledge Vance's smarts, the man was intelligent enough to quickly understand what was going on, a pity he was either too cocky or had too much faith in his own combat ability and that of his partners. Sunverkh managed to shoot once before the guard aiming at him fired back and forced him to get back into cover, but this blaster bolt would be the one that came from his renegade heavy blaster and hit that guard in the chest, the bolt piercing through his armor like if it was made of paper, that guard was veeeery dead.

Since that guard had bit the dust, Sunverkh wasn't being supressed by enemy fire anymore so he could peek out of his cover to see the target trying to flank him in order to shoot at him, which would take a little more than he would have originally thought since the Trandoshan bounty hunter was 20 meters away from him after all, this made him an easy target for the Trandoshan, who would shoot at him four times with each blaster from his cover before Vance had the chance to shoot four bolts of his own at him, the Trandoshan would obviously be following the target with his blaster while he was moving, meaning that, even if he dashed, did zigzag running or fell to the ground because of Cait's force attack, he would most likely get shot by the lizard.

Gil cursed as a hail of blaster fire was hurled his way. He ducked behind the cover he had found for himself, which kept him safe for now.

The fire stopped as the guards turned their attention elsewhere and Cait unleashed her attack. He saw the man trying to flank around Sunverkh and with both pistols took aim and shot once each at the man's back. With his back turned and attention on the Trandoshan, who was also shooting at him, it wasn't looking great for their target.

Turning quickly towards the remaining guard, he fired two quick shots with each weapon. They were meant to suppress the remaining guard while their main target was dealt with.

Well today could have gone better.

But the simple fact that saved his life?

None of his attackers were working together. Sure, they all seemed to want him dead but none of them were actually coordinating their attacks at all. He was unable to attempt to flank Sunverkh due to the force push that sent him rolling along the ground, meaning that Sunverkh's shots went high over him. He continued to roll, using his own momentum to roll behind a crate for cover, avoiding the shots from Gillian in the process.

His remaining guard wasn't fast enough and was shot dead by Gillian while still on the ground.

Situated behind the industrial crate, the man breathed deeply as he clutched his blaster pistol.

"Is this a business attack or a personal attack?" he shouted out, "If it's business... we can make a deal!"

"Alright, come out with your hands up and we'll talk business!" Cait shouted, still ready to duck back at any second if he tried something funny while she was speaking. Though her eye lingered over the area her target had ran, a tint of yellow corrupting the very edges of her irises.

Without missing a beat, the moment she finished shouting she whispered into her comm, "Get to and kill him, though hopefully he's stupid enough to come out into the open." Her voice crackled through the comm to her mercs. She'd used a lot of her Force, but still had enough in her to gather more and replenish herself a small bit. She wasn't about to let this man out of her grip, if she had anything to do about it.

He was already running forward, sliding in behind another crate when the man yelled. He crept forward again as Cait responded. He had his guns raised in case he needed to pin the man down.

Coming around the side of their target, still behind a crate 10 meters to his left he listened as Cait told them to take him out. He leaned out behind cover and shot three more times, aiming at the man. He assumed Sunverkh would be flanking from the other side.

Just like Gilian, the Trandoshan was already moving, running from one cover to another while hearing Cait's orders, it wouldn't take long for Sunverkh to be in cover near the target, standing behind yet another medium sized crate, the Trandoshan would be around 10 meters away from the target just like Gilian, the difference being that the bounty hunter would be flanking him from his right side instead of his left side, with his weapons already raised and behind cover, the Trandoshan shot one last time with the heavy blaster (knowing that it was the last shot he had with it) and another two with the medium blaster pistol, all three shots pointed at his torso to make sure at least one of them landed, he had nowhere to run now

Yeah no, there wasn't going to be a deal was there?

To be fair, Vance wouldn't have made a deal if he was in their position either. With the seconds he had bought himself, Vance drew a cigara from his pocket and popped it into his mouth. He lit it and relaxed back against the crate for a moment, just looking up at the sky.

He knew when he'd been had.

"So close... so karking close..."

Despite knowing when he was beaten, Vance drew himself up upon seeing Sunverkh lean out from cover to fire upon him. He managed to avoid the heavy blaster bolt, but the first shot from Gillian then hit him squarely in the back and he knew it was over. The second and third from Gillian hammered into his back as the two from Sunverkh's medium blaster hit him in the front.

Vance fell to his knees.

He reached up with a shaking hand to touch his cigara, taking one last, weak, pull from it before he keeled over, dead.

The man fell dead. Gil paused for a moment to make sure there weren't any more surprises. "Damn." he said coming out from behind cover. "At least he knew how to die looking like a badass." he said approaching the man's corpse. So many people groveled and fell apart when faced with death. Gil had been one of those people, so afraid of dying he hadn't ever done anything of worth. He had decided to change that when he went to Nar Shaddaa.

He reached down and grabbed a cigara that had fallen from the man's pocket. Taking his helmet off and clipping it to his belt, he slid one of the cigaras into his mouth and lit it. "The man had good taste, I'll give him that." he said shrugging as he blew out a puff of smoke.

"Nice shootin' out there." he said to the Trandoshan. "And well, it never hurts to have a bit of space magic, huh boss?" he said, winking.

They would clean up in whatever way they needed, but as far as Gil knew, they had been brought along to just take care of the copse in front of them.

The young businesswoman heard her mercs fire and thankfully, shortly after, one of their voices buzzed in her ear. She smiled when she heard that they finished the job, even appreciating the space magick comment despite the crude way it was worded.

Though Cait wasn't happy that she had dipped into the Dark Side once again, she did what she had to do. This was an important mission because she needed credits to pay off her debt and to continue to build her business. She paused to consider the idea of taking over a space station and setting it up as a hub under her rule, but pushed the thought aside for now.

"Good job," she finally spoke up, stepping out of her cover. "Let me grab something off him, then I need someone to get rid of the body." One of her fingers came to her lip, tapping against it as she thought. "To burn it maybe, or cut it to pieces. Whatever, I just don't want it to be found."

With that out of the way, she walked to the corpse, pausing for a second as she looked down at him. She felt no contempt for him, no pity, but certainly respected the way he had died, telling from the pose he was in. Leaning down, she digged through his pockets for a few seconds, finding a handful of key cards. One of them probably unlocked his office, so she slipped them in her pocket.

"If one of you want to accompany me into the mine, feel free, but I'll just be going to the office and digging into the paperwork." Cait tipped her head, "Or if one of you want to manage the mine for me," she paused with a smile, knowing that "manage" mostly meant keeping people in line, "I'd be happy to consider you."

She turned around and began to make her way into the mine, more than ready to move her plans along.

The Trandoshan got out of cover after making sure no one was coming after hearing the fight. Sunverkh would approach the corpse and his other two partners, crouching down to grab the target's quickdraw pistol for himself, seeing how the other two didn't seem to want it. "You alssso did well kid" He said in response to Gilian "Having the target trip did help asss well, of courssse" The Trandoshan added while calmly reloading all of his blaster pistols, including the one he had just adquired.

After that, he listened to Cait and nonchalantly put the target's corpse on his shoulder, carrying it with one hand while he had the quickdraw pistol on the other "I will take care of the body, don't worry about that" Sunverkh said, he already knew what he was going to do in order to get rid of it, it wasn't the first time he had disposed of a body, that was for sure "You ssshould go with her and make sssure nothing happensss to her, ssshe ssstill hasss to pay usss after all" The Trandoshan bounty hunter told Gilian before starting to walk away, he didn't have his ship too far away and he knew of many ways to dispose of the corpse there, he was sure that those two could handle whatever Cait had to do without him so the Trandoshan would simply do his part.
