Jace was born on Ryloth and was caught up in a massacre that saw his family slain. His mother died with him in her arms as an infant, and a Mandalorian bounty hunter chose to bring him back as a foundling. As a result, Jace has never known life as anything but Mandalorian. He passed his verd'goten effortlessly, his humanoid features allowing him to assimilate easily into society. The Kryze Mandalorian that raised and trained him did not follow the way, and neither did he. He kept his helmet off most of the time except for during battles and warfare.

Jace is close with his clan and heavily combat-focused. He followed in his father's footsteps for bounty hunting. With the disappearances of the last two Mand'alors, he has since given up on a vision of a united Mandalorian people. As a result, he has focused only on empowering the Kryze clan without any greater Mandalorian vision.
