APPEARANCE:
Taller man of average weight. Dark hair that is always to his ears, but well kept. He has brown eyes and an extremely friendly demeanor. His face is covered in smile and laugh lines.
His build is unremarkable and he is obviously not a fighter. His hands are calloused, but he is rather ordinary, except being tall for the average human male.
ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS:
Jakk is an educated man having graduated from the Tarisian School of Psychology. He is outgoing and loves to hear people's stories. He is rather healthy and tries to eat well. Having never been in so much as a bar fight, he is not suited for any sort of combat. He would be comfortable on a light jog, but would not have the physical strength or endurance for a fight.
Jakk sustains his travels through music and poetry. He's always played music on a variety of instruments and will travel to different cafes and cantinas and play for evenings in exchange for some money or housing and food. He's quite an accomplished musician.
While he loves people, he tends to treat people as patients and wants to help (or fix) people. He struggles with real friendships and doesn't open up about himself often. He is extremely empathetic and feels what others feel.
He doesn't know how to pilot a starship. He can shoot a blaster, but would never shoot another person.
PERSONALITY:
Jakk is a romantic. He loves music, art, and thinking philosophically. He wants to bring people joy and see them smile. He's generally pretty even-keeled but has quite a bit of emotion under the surface. He's learned to control his emotions through healthy outlets (music etc).
He is altruistic and doesn't really have an agenda. He loves people and wants to get to know them. He believes that knowing and diagnosing people counts as friendship - which it doesn't. He is rather lonely, and while he'd never admit it, he is hungry for adventure and friendship.
BIOGRAPHY:
While war wages around the galaxy and it seems like everything is in chaos, still, there are pockets that remain undisturbed. Jakk was born and raised in one of those pockets. Born on Taris to a moderately wealthy family, Jakk had an easy childhood. It was fairly normal, he went to school, excelled in school, and loved human dynamics.
In his teens, he chose to pursue studies farther and set his life's trajectory on that of a clinical therapist. Drug abuse was heavy on Taris, and having seen several friends die from addiction, Jakk decided he wanted to be equipped to help. It was also during his teen years he discovered a knack for music. He loved local Tarisian folk music and it became his deepest joy to write and perform music.
He was accepted to a Tarisian University and studied Psychology. He graduated with an advanced degree, and now in his upper twenties, felt a need or a lack for the first time. He had read story after story of heroic and exciting people and realized that he was on the trajectory of nothingness. With little money in his pocket, and his small Tarisian lute on his back, Jakk decided he would take off to see the rest of the galaxy and meet as many people as he can. Who knows where it will take him.
