Restrictor Armor

Designed by Jakkar and manufactured by a private company, this armor serves as a way for Jakkar to keep himself grounded during fights, with its weight, weighing about 30lbs, just shy of a quarter of Jakkar's body weight, this armor is unique to him and he was never seen without it after it's production.

Functions

.
.

Function 1: Lightsaber Blocking:
  • Via a thin sheen of Cortosis put into a small area in his gauntlets, allowing him to have a small amount of contact with lightsabers, although it is only a area in his wrists, and only allows him to have a brief contact with them.

Function 2: Higher Gravitational Pull:
  • Jakkar's Armor was made to be heavy, so as to decrease his agile movements that often gotten him trouble, the boots are the heaviest part, serving to keep him grounded, this slows him down considerably, although it gives greater Melee Potential.

Function 3: Balance:
  • The armor is designed to keep one's feet on the ground, by sticking their feet to the ground, this allows Jakkar to be grounded, but also gives him balance that prevents him being knocked down, this makes for some jaunty footwork and less combat reliability, given how it disables dodging capability and even less chance of moving from the ground if knocked to one's feet.

Even heavy armor cannot withstand four blaster shots. For medium armor, two is the most, for any given region.

In addition, no armor can ever withstand more than a single blow against a lightsaber, so that'll have to change.

Beyond that, don't see any problems with it myself

Wouldnt the fact that the armor is super heavy on the bottom make staying upright harder, basically making it really difficult for him to correct any balance issues.

That, and I just don't honestly think that having your armour be super weighty would really count as a function. Nor does it seem like a wise idea to be intentionally limiting your movement ability in a fight if you're fairly agile. Also, those small Cortosis bits wouldn't count as a function either - that's just part of the composition.

And, lastly, there's another problem...being that Jakkar is a Force-Sensitive Sith.

Meaning he's restricted to bare-bones, functionless armour, based on the tech announcement that explained some of the changes to the rules, as well as a major bit of a balance issue:

Furthermore, due to balance issues, Force Users are restricted to functionless armor. There's absolutely zero reason a PC should be walking around using the Force to throw you off a cliff while blasting people with a flamethrower and absorbing a hit with her energy shield.

So that all being said, essentially, this is just a heavy set of functionless armour as it's been written up, given that there weren't any actual functions included. I'd say just copy the description of it onto your character sheet, and make the edit that it's limited to only a maximum of three shots before failure - meanwhile, this tech application is getting Archived.
