(need good picture)

COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCE

Born a small, blue, and puffy infant, Jalaes'len now stands as one of the smaller twi’leks in his village. His semi-athletic frame is rather unevenly filled out by muscle and is a product of all his years of labor. His presence is easily missed when Jalaes’len is standing in a group of people for nothing about him makes him really stand out. At all times of the day, since his induction into the order, Jalaes’len is found adorn in traditional jedi robes. These robes are tied loosely together by a simple utility belt, in which he carries all his equipment for work. Jalaes'len can also never be found wearing shoes. This quirk of his dates back to his childhood when he was harvesting fungi for his village, saying that it helped him work faster.

Jalaes’len’s face normally bears a stern demeanor, which can make him come off as a strict man. But his façade could not be farther from the truth, for Jalaes’len is caring and kind man, willing to put other’s needs before his own. His long, blue, and elegant lekku are arranged so that they always dangle behind his head as not to interfere. Jalaes’len, as is tradition in his village has two painted eyebrows above his two hard, blue, penetrating eyes. And to top it all a chiseled nose and lips are placed squarely in his face.

PERSONALITY

Jalaes’len, has and probably always will be a more of a calm and restrained person, and generally comes off as a pacify person. Never known to try to overstep himself, he is commonly mistaken for and underachiever, often apologizing for something he didn’t do. But his underachieving attitude is not rightfully deserved, its not that he doesn’t want to better himself, its just he is afraid of failing or making a mistake. For his greatest fear is letting others down.

Jalaes’len is also an extremely hard worker, doing his job without complaint or question no matter what it entails. He can also be seen picking up other people’s slack, when necessary and does not take compliments extremely well. When it comes to volunteering, Jalaes’len is always the first one to step up for the task. Because of these attitudes, he can often be seen as pushover, and most of the time this happens to be the case.

Working most of the time, Jalaes’len feels that he has no time for thinking or contemplating life. But when presented a chance to indulge in this “luxury” he often enjoys it. When swapping ideas with fellow Jedi or whomever it may be he does not like to cross them even if he disagrees with them. Instead he will deal with it by just not responding to it and continue on letting them think like that or stay quiet and see a higher authority. Jalaes’len also does not get angry very often, but from time to time he is prone to emotional explosions.

LIKES AND DISLIKES

Being the simple man he is Jalaes’len prefers to live without luxuries viewing them as un-necessary. He also loves to be with nature, and after leaving his home world he realized how barren it was and tries to make up for the time away from it. Another love of Jalaes’len’s is being alone, while he does not dislike company he just feels that being alone is better. In his free time, whatever little amount it might be, he likes to just think about life in general, letting his thoughts flow freely. In these periods of thought, Jalaes’len decided that freedom should be valued above all things, and that death should come before the loss of it. While this may be his view he will often not share it until asked, or it is tested.

When around someone who impose ideas on others, Jalaes’len tries to get out of the situation and dislikes being with such people. Likewise, Jalaes’len also despises cockiness, and once again while he may not voice this, his resentment of such people is still there. Also as stated before Jalaes’len highly values freedom, and as oppression is the opposite of freedom, he is willing to fight vigorously against it.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

Jalaes’len’s is considered by all to be a hard worker, often never ceasing until the job is done. To keep with such tasks he is mentally stable, and a very persistent person. Like many others in the village he grew up in, Jalaes’len is an accomplished farmer. He is also very good at keeping level headed, even in the most strenuous of circumstances. Jalaes’len is also a very good peacemaker because of his calm and often silent demeanor.

Jalaes’len’s most prominent weakness is that he is a pushover. Jalaes’len often lets others walk over him and secedes to them in arguments where he may be right. Jalaes’len is also afraid to overstep himself; this fear comes from the basis that he is generally afraid of letting others down. When someone’s freedom in question he do anything in his power to help them often, putting himself in danger or disobeying higher authorities in the process. Also because of his upbringing in a somewhat primitive village, some of the newer technologies in the galaxy are over his head.

HISTORY

Born into a small village, deep within the caves on the planet of Ryloth, Jalaes’len was considered nothing special at birth. Jalaes’len was born to one of the leaders of the village and as such, his birth was administered to with great care. As was custom in the village, to be a doctor, one had to be force sensitive, so that force sensitive babies could be seen at birth, and so that any complications could be dealt with swiftly. Fortunately there were no complications that had to be dealt with so the doctor had only one more job to do. After Jalaes’len was wrapped in a blanket, he was placed in a cradle located near the hospital bed. The doctor then dove into the child’s mind with the force and searched for the spot that would hold his primal memories, prodding it the doctor was knocked back onto the bed. With the conclusion of the test the child was proclaimed force sensitive.

When all force-sensitive babies were born in the village an age-old argument broke out between two groups that had different ideas with what to do with the child. One group, a group of traditionalists always argued that the child should stay in the village and be trained as a doctor when the child came of age. The second group, made up of mainly younger members, wanted the child to be sent off to study with the Jedi, the sooner the better. The choice was normally left to the parents, but as neither of the parents had expected a force sensitive child, they were left with no idea what to do. So they decided that at the child’s coming of age ceremony, the decision would be made.

In his earlier years, Jalaes’len was calmer then the rest of his play mates, and instead preferred to be alone then with them. At first his parents worried about the boy, but as they kept on making advances to socialize the boy, he obey them and then try to be alone when he could. This cycle continued until his parents finally realized, that they should leave him be.

At the age of thirteen, like all the children of his village, Jalaes’len was put to work on the fungi farms, along with his normal duty of being a student. An average student at school, Jalaes’len was distinguished on the farms for his hard work. Whenever work needed to be done the boss could always count on him to do it. It was also at this period of time that his demeanor of being calm and restrained became more apparent and it became more apparent to his teachers that Jalaes’len was always worried about overstepping himself, when new material was introduced in class. Whenever approached about this problem he would try to dodge the conversation in any way possible and once again his teachers stopped trying. Another interesting thing that the adults of the village noted about him is that he never tried to cross anyone, but when he became fed up he was prone to brief explosions of anger.

In this time in his life, the argument between the two groups became more apparent, and it seemed that they were only using Jalaes’len as an excuse to fight each other. Each side used different parts of him to enforce their argument, and eventually tensions grew so bad that spurts of violence became common. It was also during this time that word leaked to the rest of the village that Jalaes’len’s parents planned to send him off the Jedi temple on Ossus.

Because of the ongoing violence, the council of elders met and decided to respect Jalaes’len’s parent’s decision and send him off to the Jedi as soon as possible. Seeing that the sixteen-year-old Jalaes’len’s coming of age ceremony was still two years away, they decided that since they could not have the fighting continue for that long, they contacted the Jedi to pick up the boy. That week was the bloodiest week in memory for if groups of either side meet each other there was almost always a fight.

After a week a group of Jedi came and examined the boy. Jalaes’len was decided fit for training and immediately taken away for training. Both excited and nervous he began his journey as a Jedi. For his first two years at the temple he was taught the basics, each time something new was introduced he was a afraid of failing it, but always he prevailed. After the two-year crash course period he was decided fit for a master and his training was allowed to be viewed by knights so they might decide to take him.
