BIOGRAPHY
Jalen Saal was born on Jakku, he was raised in one of many sacred villages which are scattered around the Kelvin Ravine. The village where Jalen lived was originally founded by members of the holy order, the Guardians of the Whills, who reside in the holy city of Jedha. Those members left the monastic order and set out on a pilgrimage in search of enlightenment and eventually, they settled on Jakku to continue their worship of the Force. The people that lived in the village came to collectively be known as the Fey'klo.
During the war between the Jedi Order and the Jedi Exiles, Jakku was determined to be of strategic value by the Exiles. Also, they saw a natural enemy in the various religious villages, such as the Fey'klo, whose beliefs aligned with the light side of the Force. Death squads were sent to the planet and the villages were razed to the ground, their inhabitants hunted with little mercy. The Fey'klo were almost entirely wiped out, except for a handful of survivors, including Jalen, who were evacuated by Republic forces. When his Force sensitivity was discovered, he was taken in by the Jedi Order.
After being granted a Knighthood, despite his youth and inexperience, Jalen followed the path to become a Jedi Guardian, hoping to protect people from meeting the same fate as the Fey'klo. When the word came that the Exiles were invading Ilum, Jalen was assigned to a support team whose purpose was to keep the enemy busy while Grandmaster Syresh Lapar and the strike team pushed their way to Overlord Melchior. Jalen, who had earlier been knocked unconscious by a Force blast, awoke to the destruction that was the result of the Grandmaster's betrayal.
The Tragedy at Ilum broke Jalen's spirit and his desire to fight, in the aftermath, he followed Cadef Sige and the remaining Guardians to Jedha, hoping there he could find some peace. Whilst on Jedha, Jalen spent time at the Temple of the Kyber and meditated with members of the Guardians of the Whills, from whom his people had originated, searching for the inner peace and enlightenment that his ancestors had sought after.

PERSONALITY & ABILITIES
Above everything, Jalen is kind, one of his strongest drives is to help those in need and protect those who cannot protect themselves. However, as of late, this inner call to help others has been muted by recent experiences, from the war in general and on Ilum.
Jalen is a very spiritual individual, especially in regards to the Force. He is an admirer of the Guardians of the Whills and deeply respects their worship of the Force. He constantly contemplates and meditates on his connection to the Force, believing it to be his greatest asset in combat, although he tries to only use it as a means of defense and refrains from unnecessary use, as it wears him out quickly.
The training afforded to him as a Jedi Guardian means he is competent with a lightsaber, but by no means a master combatant.
