"How difficult the task to quench the fire and the pride of private ambition, and to sacrifice ourselves and all our hopes and expectations to the public weal! How few have souls capable of so noble an undertaking!"

This story starts on the mountains of Yeortho, the peaks of Epicant, my homeworld. You see, traditionally it is seen as a blessing to take newborns to the top of the highest peaks, to the dens of the Storm-Priests and have their child consecrated in the eyes of the Divine. My family is a family with the trappings of tradition, of honor, so it was crucial to have me blind-folded at birth and that my first sight was the thunder and lightning that solidified the Pantheons existence. Very few believe in the Gods now, but as I said, tied by tradition.

My first real memory was that of my Father, sat at the head of the table with a glare on his face, he was not a happy man, he was stressed, chained by his work and shackled by his beliefs. His Empire of businesses that dominated the southern Hemisphere of Epicant gave him little time for family, but he made time, time to see that his children were growing into the characters that he wanted to take over parts of his Empire. I had many siblings, twelve, 8 girls, 4 boys. My brothers were the first apart from me, I was the last of them all.

I was raised with my sisters mostly for my brothers were learning at my Fathers feet and I cant really remember their faces, for when they became of age I saw them once or twice every other year, for they were busy, they were making their own lives. I didn't know what would become of me, I wasn't told I would be this, I would be that, I was told I would be alright, I would be successful.

Eventually it was decided that I would be a judge on Epicant for my Father had ties to the Supreme Court and they would bend over backwards to
help that old man. I remember it was hard being took away from my family at the age of eight, I didn’t understand why I had to go , and I didn’t understand why I was took off world.

They thought it would be good if I studied at an elite school on Bastion, for it would be easier to study at the best institutions in the Galaxy if I was at the Imperiums heart, not on some backwater. I worked hard, tried hard and became best in my class, I had a lot of friends and was captain of several sports teams. I was an ideal student. I came to love Bastion for it was a metropolis without end, its streets became a new home and as I spectated this model society I became fascinated with its military and the elite STC.

But I always wanted power, and although the rank and file hypnotised the masses it was the fat old men who sat by the side taking the salutes, which hypnotised me. It wasn’t the fact they could throw their men’s lives away, sending them to an early grave, but it is the knowledge that if they so willed they could. But that is a lie, they couldn’t, they would need authorisation from their commanders, and the head of the STC would come under criticism for allowing the death of so many fanatic men, but the Emperor would not come under criticism for they loved and feared him.

Then I came to wonder as to how I could attain power, what could I do to leave this life of observing behind? Through work. I worked, I trained, I learnt martial arts, I gave up my friends and acquaintances as I gave it all I had, I had to stay top, become the man I wanted to be and by the time I finished my education I was ready to break the chains of my existence.

My link to my family was strong, I know if I refused to go home that I would be forcibly “repatriated”, but I had found a solution, joining the STC. During my days at school the STC ran campaigns for officers in this elite college and I had whetted their appetite.

Quickly joining the military, I severed all links with my family… The training was intense, but I made it, I made it because I knew that I would outshine my compatriots and life as a Stormtrooper was anything but easy.

I was not to remain as a simple Stormtrooper forever, for when the Sith took control my destiny was revealed as I was quickly pulled away from the masses and started my training in the Darkside of the force and the next chapter began.
