PERSONALITY:
A serious, professional man. He does not boast, he does not brag. Although he has his lighter moments when he is on his downtime. He does his duty as a Mandalorian with a calm demeanor of an old hand who has seen everything there is to see. He views failure in filling his duties as a stain on his personal honor. Fiercely traditional he follows Corden Vencu ,who he views as the true Mand’alor, and answers to Clan Varad.

BIOGRAPHY:
Jask Varad was born on Kuar to Mandalorian parents and was raised in the traditional manner of the Mandalorians. Upon reaching age 18 he decided to strike out on his own as a freelance gun-for-hire as many Mandalorian youths who wished to test themselves in the wider galaxy did. Jask’s reasons for doing so differed from those of his fellow youths. While he, like them, sought honor and credits while working as a hired killer. He also wished to distance himself from the clan based culture in which he was raised and make a name for himself based purely on his own individual skill.

His first contract job was nearly his last when he accepted a job to detain and bring back to Kashyyyk a Wookiee that had been declared a Madclaw for killing another with his claws. Jask tracked the Madclaw easily enough, but the Wookiee got the jump on him in a local cantina and the Wookiee’s claws cleaved through gaps in Jask’s leg armor. In the ensuring brawl Jask would suffer cracked ribs and a concession, but managed to subdue the Madclaw after several stun blasts. He returned his target to Kashyyyk and received his pay, which most of it going to medical pays for his injuries. He told the medical doctors to leave the scaring on his leg as a remainder of his complacently.

After recovering from his injuries Jask accepted and successfully carried out more contracts. He rarely failed to complete a job, viewing the failure to do so as stain on his personal honor and damaging to his professional reputation. His closest brush with death came 5 years ago when in the employ of a local planetary government. His job was to track down a highly skilled government assassin gone rogue. He tracked and engaged the man in a roof top firefight where he was struck at mid-range by his target’s high powered sniper.

The blaster bolt burned through the durasteel of his chest plate and would have been fatal if not for the timely arrival of security and medical teams alerted by civilians who heard and witnessed the exchanges of blaster fire. He made the doctors, as he had after his first contract, leave the burn-scar. It served as a reminder of his failure and to temper any pride and ego from his future successes. He spent his recovery time on his homeworld of Kuar and seeing the contrast between the cultures of the wider galaxy and those of his people sparked an epiphany for him. That the honorable, glory filled path lay not in freelance gun-for-hire killing. It was instead following The Six Actions and standing with his fellow Mandalorians was the only honorable path his life could lead.

He was rankled by the loss of Mandalorian Space to the Sith Imperium, but recognized their strength and tenacious, things that as a Mandalorian he admired and respected in his adversaries. What shocked him to the core was when the Mandolare called it was not to war. Not to battle, but to talk. Empty and utterly pointless talk. Those deemed strongest to lead the Mandalorians were the weakest of heart and spirit. When Corden Vencu called for a return to the old ways, to the true ways. He rallied to him along with others of his clan. What was lost be would restored and the Mandalorians would be force none could oppose.

You're on. Pistols at dawn?

Pistols? I was thinking missile launchers. This is SWRP. We have to do things big. Bigger than Texas. Bigger than Bac's ego.

If we're going that big than only real option is flamethrowers.

Silly you. We're fighting to the death for real. Not with our characters.

Exactly. Where have you been this entire time, fundamental? You know, I think I'll be nice and leave you alone Raider; you have seniority, and that's becoming becoming a rare thing, so I propose a compromise. I don't need the name, but kills are always nice so I'll kill fundamental and you get the name. Everyone goes home happen... well, maybe except fundamental who goes in a casket.
