"My story? You want to know my story? Well, uh... It's long, and I can't promise I won't... Enhance the truth in places. Gotta save face somehow, right? I was born to two fairly normal parents. My mother and father worked together, sellin' refurbished droids to people who never would have been able to afford the newest models. Nothin' fancy. Couriers, protocols, the occasional astromech. Mostly to people who were lookin' to break into their own line of business, and needed a place to start. They were good people. Good, normal people. Never stepped a foot outta' line, never broke the mold. Me? I couldn't stand that. Not from the very beginning.".

"My childhood was largely unimpressive. Grew up being held a little too tightly, on a little too tight a leash, y'know? Rebellious little kid, I was. Even from the age of eight, I used to sneak spare parts from the storage locker my parents used, and sell them to older guys in exchange for a few credits. They probably knew, lookin' back. Probably just happy I had... Enterprise. There really ain't much to say about my childhood. Besides the occasional petty theft from my folks, I was an upstanding citizen. Normal kid with normal dreams. Don't work in your parents store, Jayjack. I used to tell myself that. You can do way cooler stuff than that! Shame. If I hadn't treated life like some grand adventure that had to be played out, I'd probably be pretty comfy right now.".

"Had a few friends, too. Not many by my formative years, but a few. Two other humans and a Twi'Lek. First up? Danntony. Danntony was a good guy, liked to keep his head down, stay out of trouble; you know the type, even though he was as big as a Wookiee from the age of fifteen. The other human was Antsky, less of an ideal kid, but a good friend. Constantly getting into trouble and fights, but you need a friend like that, you know? Then, there was Gil. That wasn't his full name, but I'd never have any chance of rememberin' that anyway. Gil kinda' just ended up being part of our clique. We never invited him, and we're not even sure when it happened, but yeah; he was alright. Quiet guy, seemed to just go with the flow, always down for whatever."

"By the time we were all old enough to make our own decisions, Danntony was gone. Shot off to some academy to study piloting or something. Managed to even convince Gil to go along. Probably for the best. Antsky and I made... Worse decisions. We'd decided that there was more money, and more fun in the life of the smugglers we'd heard about so many times. Unfortunately... Ant may or may not have gotten himself caught pickpocketing some rich Rodian in a bar, and well, yeah... Bam! Like that, locked up. Naturally, it didn't take long for them to come after me, too. I hadn't even done anything! I hadn't even committed a crime yet! I mean, at all!".

"I was so not cut out for this. Fleeing from the law? I'd rather not, but what choice do I have? What am I supposed to say? "Sorry, officer. I didn't actually steal that guy's credit chip. That was my childhood friend. We're saving up for a freighter, you see, so we can smuggle illicit goods into the sector.". Not going to exactly sell me as an ideal citizen, is it? So for now, I gotta lay low, and figure somethin' out. Maybe I'll meet someone who can get me some fake papers, or who has a guy they can muscle with the law. If not? I'll just have to find a way off this planet. Sooner rather than later.".

"Personality? What are you really asking someone to tell you when you ask that. You're never really wanting what's good about them, are ya'? You wanna know what it is that sucks about them. Well, I suppose that's easily done with me. Jayjack Birdleve; as much as I'd like to describe myself as a dashing rogue, I'm a little more uninteresting and flawed than that. Yep, well, my three best friends are either half way across the galaxy, or in prison, depending on which you're asking after, so it's just me left. The last of our boys... And you know what? I was always the least interesting... Prettiest though, definitely the prettiest.".

"For a start, I'm headstrong. Devil-May-Care, my mother called it. Throw caution to the wind, I say. The consequences of anything you do, are bound to be far less interesting than the action you take, right? Right. If I think somethin' can be done, chances are, I'll go ahead and do it. Doesn't matter too much to me if the odds are three-to-four, or a million-to-one. If there's a chance, I'll take it. I mean, hey, my father might have beaten me silly if he knew about me stealing from the store just to get a few credits for cigarras and drinks, but there was a chance he'd never catch me, and that's good enough for me. Luck's never been on my side in the past, but the way I see it? It's just all being saved up for my big break. It'll come some day. I'm sure of it.".

"What, you want more? It's a good job this ain't a dating profile, I wouldn't exactly be selling myself. I'm too trusting of others. If someone shows me the slightest sign of friendship, I'll probably assume they're a decent person. Probably comes from me not having too many friends growing up. We were always the dreamers, and that meant we weren't exactly fashionable to be seen with. Hell, at least Gil and Dan did somethin' with their lives. We ended up wannabe criminals, and even failed at that; but yeah. If someone's nice to me, I'll be nice back, normally from the very beginning. Life's easier that way. Just because other people want to lie and deceive people, doesn't mean I have to. Unless it's regarding a crime I have allegedly committed. Then, I might... Adjust the truth to suit me a little more. No harm in that, right?".

"Come on, more? I thought I told you I wasn't all that interesting. Fine... I'm prone to aggression when people wrong me. Not violence, nah, none of that. I mean, I can hold my own in a fight, Antsky made sure I had to learn how to do that, but I don't like starting them. I like my teeth and where they sit in my mouth, and I don't think I'd be anywhere as pretty without them. That being said, if someone intentionally wrongs me, even if it's something minor; forcing me to spill a drink, stepping on my shoe intentionally, anything like that, I'm not gonna stand back and let them. I'll stand up for myself. Hell, I'm Jayjack Birdleve, and I deserve better than to be pushed round by some nerf-herder with an attitude problem. If someone hits you, hit them back twice as hard. If someone shoots you, shoot them twice. That's a lesson from my father I'll never forget.".

"One more? Really? You promise this is the last? Fine. I'm a sucker for a pretty face. I have only a few things to my name. My integrity, my morality and my intelligence; though if my friends are right, and history tells a tale, then those all go out the window when a pretty woman is involved. I'm straight as they come, but maybe too much down that scale. The second a gorgeous woman steps my way, I have a tendency to forget whatever it was I was doing, and focus only on her. Don't get me wrong, I'm a driven guy; just sometimes... What drives me changes, you know? Oh, you definitely know. We've all been there, eh? Sat at a bar, and a gorgeous Zeltron walks in. I mean, hey. The pheromones account for some of it. The corset accounts for the rest.".
