NAME: Jayums Ko’Lins
FACTION: Jedi
RANK: Padawan
SPECIES: Echani
AGE: 14
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 5 foot 5
WEIGHT: 50 Kg
EYES: Emerald Green
HAIR: Silvery White
SKIN: Caucasian, slightly tanned.
CREDITS: 1000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Apart from his distinctive hair colour and style, he has none.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes.

STRENGTH: Jayums’ strength is above average for a specimen of his age and race, displaying the ability to strike to devastating effect while unarmed, though this is normally enhanced through his Force abilities.
DEXTERITY: As before, Jayums is far above average, as he has to be to be considered a worthy padawan. This is bolstered by the fact that his particular fighting style focuses on speed rather than pure strength.
CONSTITUTION: Jayums is of average constitution, as is able to suffer a few strong blunt attacks before succumbing to exhaustion. Sharp/blaster attacks generally end in death for most people, so it isn’t a real measure of constitution.
INTELLIGENCE: Jayums’ intellect comes from his unorthodox methods of fighting, and his true talents lie in the field of tactical knowledge rather than general knowledge.
WISDOM: Jayums, as a young man, isn’t very wise. He does however have some smart idioms tucked up his sleeves.
CHARISMA: Jayums’ charisma is infectious, as he is seen to be outgoing and passionate, much to the dismay of his masters. He is generally seen with a constant smile on his face, especially during his spars.

FORCE POWERS:
Burst of Speed
Force Valour
Force Push

SKILLS:
Skilled in Martial Arts.
Skilled tactician.
Skilled in granting boons through the force.

LIGHTSABER/SWORD FORMS:
Form IV, Ataru, though it has been adapted for unarmed combat rather than saber combat.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Jayums’ strengths lie in his unorthodox fighting style that tends to catch people off-guard, especially when they expect to have an opponent who wields a saber predominantly. Jayums uses this to his advantage through fancy saber tricks followed by devastating melee attacks.

His weaknesses lie in the fact that, as he is pretty unskilled in saber combat, he is very susceptible to blaster fire or general long range combat. His naivety also leaves him open to various mind-based attacks.

GEAR:
N/A. Jayums is a simplistic soul that only carries the clothes on his back and the ideals in his head with him.

PERSONALITY:

Firstly, focusing on the positives of a persons personality, as one normally does, Jayums is an extremely intelligent individual, even before his initiation into the Jedi he was regarded as a highly intelligent child, showing many talents in the Force and Tactics, mind related skills, which he had no prior knowledge of before. His mind also acts like a sponge, absorbing knowledge easily and a photographic memory causes him to never forget anything he has seen or heard. Another positive aspect is that he is very hard working and very, very persistent.

Hurray for positives, another paragraph full even. Jayums’ best feature by far however is the ability to create. His mind works in complex and imaginative ways that his creations, whether mechanical, tactical or theatrical are completely unpredictable and effective, allowing him to harness his mind to create wonderful inventions or to develop devastating combinations of attacks.

He appears to be happy pretty much constantly, partly due to an odd disposition, mainly due to his love of life. Infact, the only time he ever drops his smile is when he is bored, and he never gets bored for long as there is always something to do as a Jedi.

However, Jayums vastly overestimates his own abilities, causing him to look down on other people. This leads to a slightly reckless fighting-style, as he doesn’t take his own stamina into proportion the majority of the time, causing him to run out of energy during fights without realizing.

BIOGRAPHY:

Jayums was born on the planet of Corellia, born to a loving father and a somewhat dismissive mother. He had two older siblings, both sisters, whom his Mother doted on and spent all her attention on, while his father raised him pretty much single-handedly. This odd household was neither rich nor porr, and followed family traditions very starkly, one of which was the separation of the genders. To outsiders, the family was viewed as abnormal due to their strange customs, thought to be from interspecies breeding far into their ancestry who’s beliefs had trickled through the generation, possibly of Tuskan origin.

His father was a strong man, who worked in the shipyard as construction worker. It wasn’t a difficult job, but the pay was good and the hours were bad, so some compromises were made when it came to Jayums’ upbringing. These included having to purchase various holo-books from stores to keep him occupied and other such gadgetry. However, while Jayums enjoyed reading as much as any other, his true passion was outdoor activity. From an incredibly young age, Jayums enjoyed messing around with younger children outside of the house and even taking long walks towards the more “outdoorsy” areas, such as the fields and woods.

This passion of action was picked up by a wandering Jedi, by the name of Ga’ri Scutt, another Human who often patrolled the area. Ga’ri had lived on Corellia for many years, and so the two were familiar with eachother. As Ga’ri observed Jayums, he noticed that his movements and reaction speed was abnormal for a child of his age. It did not take him long to realize that he was being passively enhanced by The Force, without even knowing of it. Upon contacting the Order, and Jayums’ parents, (whom were relieved to have one less mouth to feed), Jayums was taken to the Temple on Ossus at the age of eight.

Life at the temple was a lot more fun than life on Corellia, mainly due the fact that the people there possessed mind boggling abilities, and things that should be impossible were deemed commonplace here, such as levitating books and incredible displays of physical prowess. He was taken in as a youngling, and was given the training that all others of his ability were given. It did not take him long to become accustomed to this place, and soon forgot about his family on Corellia. This was his home.

As Jayums grew, it was clear that his energetic nature did not fit in with the disciplined combat style of the Lightsaber, as he was prone to throwing punches during spars, and his extravagant movements often led to his weapon being more of a hindrance than anything. While he still trained in basic saber combat so as to follow the teachings of the order and to not be at a complete disadvantage in bladed combat, he trained heavily in unarmed combat, even adapting existing saber forms into his style. This included training himself to further enhance his capabilities through the Force, leading to a form that fused melee and force combat seamlessly.

When he “graduated” into a padawan, it was clear he was an individual, far from the norm of the other Jedi of his generation. His outgoing nature contrasted the serious ones of his peers and his unarmed combat style proved to be very dangerous, even against those who utilized sabers.

This is where his story starts, finally starting his duties as a Jedi, the first portion of his training complete.
