It's night time on Coruscant, the hustle and bustle of the city non stop as usual. The bright lights, and less bright people, attract many. Speeders zoom by at high speeds, shouts from angry drivers fill the sky, the smell of the night sky, so unique to Coruscant fill your nose. Music from shady cantinas, the fresh aromas from diners, the rude people bumping and walking about their own business, all of this is Coruscant itself. Atop it all, garages for speeders, docks big enough for light freighters, and enough neon lights to blind a storm trooper behind his helmet, is the Jazz Starr.

It's not a high dollar cantina, but it is one of the nicest, and it welcomes all. From the lowest smuggler, the hardest bounty hunter, the meanest Sith(as long as their not completely obvious to who they are), all the way to the most gentle Jedi. Whoever you are, it doesn't matter. You want a drink, maybe a conversation, or perhaps a companion for the night? You'll find it here!

images

It's a simple matte grey durasteel building, with bright neon blue lights encircling the entirety of building. It has four landing docks on the outside the same color as the building itself, able to hold multiple ships at once, all leading to the simple looking cantina. When you reach the front doors you'll come to hear the thumping music, and you'll see the dark interior of the building, and stairs, lit up in blue light, leading you to the inside.

And if you're a native to Coruscant, or just left your ship at a (more expensive) hangar, then bring your speeder, and we'll welcome you to our cheap but very efficient garage!

retro-fitting-pubs-and-bars-1.jpg

Lit by the same blue florescent lights as outside but with a touch of green, it's a tribute to the modern (or retro, whichever you think) architecture! Just take the turbo lift up and you'll be in the bar!

When you reach the inside, drinks can be bought from the center of the wide expansive room! Lit with purple and a little white, it serves as the entertainment section with Twileks dancing at the edges of the bar. And a pair lovely twi'lek bartenders, of the lightest shade of blue will welcome you and tend to all your needs, Well most of them anyways. They'll be found at the center of the room.

images

This is the main bar, there are many tables, a lot of them full as it is a popular bar, around the circular bar. And if the two lovely twi'lek bartenders seem busy, don't you worry, there are more waitresses circling around ( I leave their race up to you as a RPer to decide as I'm only having a few permanent staff at the Jazz Starr).

Is the main bar to busy for you, well take a step above the dancing and noise and you'll be at the Jazz Starr's upper deck, there are two sides to the upper deck. The left:

images

Putting a classic spin on bars today, it is darker, and a lot quieter, you know if you have personal dealings to attend to.

And the right:

images

A little more closer spaced and personal, this side offers those of the wide variety of species a chance to unwind and enjoy drinks that are more for them. It's a bit rougher on this side as there are many more people of difference on this side, but no worries. The protocol droid that can understand virtually all languages, not only doubles as the bartender, but as one of the cantinas more fierce bouncers.

And if none of these sections appeal to you, grab a private lounge, there are many to choose from.

images

Only rules are no fighting, (loud discussions allowed). No weapons, leave them at your ship or at the door.( I understand some will try to sneak through and I will allow this, but the moment it gets out of hand I will lay the down the smacketh upon thee!) For more extensive rules and as to who will be bouncing see the OOC

LET THE FUN BEGIN!

Taggert motioned for Kahndar to go open the doors, it was starting time. It was funny they'd only been open a month and they were already extremely popular. He rubbed the top of his head and yelled for Nylene and Sylene to get to their station. As he walked up the stairs to his side of the bar he looked out over the railing and noticed large crowd coming in.

Taggert sighed inwardly, but he knew that he was making a lot of money, so he just pushed on. Going into the left side of the bar he went behind the counter and waited. His was usually frequented by the older crowd, the crowd that wanted a little relaxation while they drank, and Taggert was fine with that. He looked out one last time, ready for the busy night.

What was it with this planet that people liked so much about, was it that it was the center of the alliance, or was it because you could find just about anything on this planet. Either way, being here on this planet because it was the center of the alliance was not the reason for him being here, nor was it because you could find anything you wanted on this planet. Assuming it was legal of course, and then there was the underworld were you could even get your hands on things that was illegal and outlawed. Still, if that had been the reason for why he was here right now he would be wearing some form of armor on him. While he had no armor he did have few small weapons on him, a simple pistol holstered on his right thigh, though he had no intention on using it. And a blade that was hidden in his right boot, another precaution just in case.
Walking into the cantina he scanned the area, looking over the place for any potential threat or just anything or anyone that could start a commotion. Never hurt to be on the safe side right. As he walked through the cantina looking for a place to sit he spotted a few people bad mouthing each other for some reason, but what ever their reason was. Or what they were talking about, it wasn't worth looking into. Finding a seat at one of the many booths he sat down and relaxed, waiting for a waitress to come by and take his order.

Della Frey had her hair pulle up in a short ponytail and her men's vest and shirt neatly buttoned. She was Geoffrey Sunstealer tonight, the dashing male poet who entertained others with stories of forgotten heroes and songs of lasting love. It was a living.

Still, the bard's travels had never seen anything quite like this. Well, there was that trip with Ryloss to Zeltros, but that was a different kind of place. It wasn't classy. Della's boyish face could certainly make her a bit of a charmer here, and her ability to throw off her voice's pitch to make her sound a bit masculine completed the disguise. Della didn't need to convince anyone that she was a butch man, but to simply convince them that she wasn't really a girl. It was more of a safety procedure for traveling alone than any sort of questioning about her gender association.

She took a spot at a booth and gave a broad, friendly grin to who ever glanced in "Geoffrey's Sunstealer's" direction.

Taggert spotted two newcomers that stood out from the group. The silent, flight jockey type, and the feminine looking man. He went back to wiping down the dark bar he was in that over looked the entire interior.

He buzzed Sylene the Twi'lek and said, "Get the two newcomers a drink on the house."

Taggert knew she wouldn't ask questions or be confused as to who he was talking about, she was just as observant as he was, she had to be.

Even it he seemed calm on the outside he was in deep thought plenty of different things, but right now his mind was on his fighter and ship, what he could do to increase the performance of those two crafts. Going so far as to he was mumbling something about powercores and variable output from the fighters engines, most of it seemed like gibberish to anyone that would hear him. But to him it made perfect sense.
When the waiters came by he was still gibbering about it, and it took a few seconds for him to notice her. But when he did he stopped mumbling to himself and smiled towards her, asking her what she had questioned him about before. When she repeated the question he nodded, what would he want to drink.
”Shi gal" he responded, though unaware of him saying it in mando'a. He didn't really notice it until she looked a bit questioningly on him, that was when he realized that he had spoken mando'a."Sorry. Just a beer." he said and watched as the waitres removed herself from the table where he sat.

Della chimed.

"Surprise me, my friend! In your honor, shall I sing a song or give you a tale? Some of you look like you could use a distraction." Della puffed out her chest and threw her head up like a stallion. She was in high spirits tonight, rare considering the pain she often encountered from her journeys in the Galaxy. She had much to learn and she was eager to do what was necessary to obtain this knowledge.

She looked at the stranger that sat close by.

"Perhaps a story for a cunning warrior, hrm? My tales always have a lesson that you can use. If, you can decipher them." It was almost a friendly challenge of wits she was offering to the stranger, as well as the Catina.

Kahndar looked on at the newcomer, watching as the strange man talked loudly. Though he watched the strange man loudly proclaiming things, his attention was still focused customers, watching them as well. Kahndar was letting out brief growls that put people off from approaching him. He turned his attention back to to the front door, watching as more people poured into the cantina.

Mesh'la entered the humble cantina, although upon looking inside she found it to be less humble then she thought. She was dressed in full beskar'gam, knowing full well there were few beings in the galaxy that were dumb enough to try and start a fight if something wore a T-visor. She boldly strolled into the bar, she had come with seeking information on her murderous brother, Ijaat. She had heard whispers of his involvement on Coruscant, she instinctively knew where ever he was death was to follow. She had come here not so much to prevent that, as opposed to snuffing the breath out his lungs.

Hey you, Bar keep. You seen a guy like this around? If anyone has seen him there will be a reward for information. But of you lie, I take more then just my credits back. Mesh'la asked, her voice distorted by her helmets voice filter.

Mesh'la then produced a holographic still of her brother's image, she would then wait for the growing crowd to answer her questions.

Arasa was sitting at the bar, drinking her third alcoholic beverage, when she heard the distorted voice of one of her own. She turned around to see the mostly red armor standing there. Must of lost her father Arasa thought to herself. Taking a large gulp to finish off her drink, she called to her fellow mandalorian, saying "Come over here. Let me take a look at that." in Mando'a. Arasa didn't expect to see another Mando'ade, and a dalyc (Female) Mando'ade at that.

Arasa was on Coruscant on a job. Apparently someone was rich enough to pay her to investigate the murder of someone. So for the past few weeks she's been exploring the planet and getting leads. Earlier that day went something like this:

An apartment explodes.
A Bothan comes running out of the building in a panic.
A large armored being grabs the Bothan by the shoulder and holds him against a wall.
"You know, I heard the only way to stop a Bothan is to punch it right in the nose as hard as you can."
"No! You're confusing us with sharks!"
"And your confusing me with someone who gives a crap."

To make a long story short, it's been a long day and Arasa needed to relax.

Mesh'la deactivated the holo image and made her way over to the woman who called for her in mando'a, upon reaching the table the woman sat at Mesh'la reactivated the holo image and place it on the table.

That man is bui'tsad kyramud, you seem him around here, vod? Mesh'la asked directly, she withheld the fact that this man, this Family Killer, was her brother.

If so, it is imperative you.tell me now, he is an enemy of our people, a zealot for a cause long dead, a threat to our people. Mesh'la explained in a typical mando'ad calmness.

Looking at the holo of the man the other mando was hunting, Arasa came to the conclusion that he was a person that she had never seen before. She put her glass down where the droid bartender filled it up again. "I may of seen him. Probobly not though." Arasa joked in basic. "But why don't we have a drink first? I don't think you'll find much here."

Arasa raised her hand and the droid dropped down another glass with the same liquid. "Try one, on me."

Turning his gaze towards the person who spoke about a cunning warrior, he simply studied the person for a few seconds. What ever the stories this person would have in store, he didn't think that they would contain some form of lesson to be learned. At least not a lesson he would benefit from, not after what he had experienced. Looking away from the person he instead looked in front of him, despite he knew that no one was sitting there he saw his alter ego.”Why don't you go and hear the woman out.” Hallelujah asked him, nodding towards where the person sat.”Why do you even care if I do it or not.” Allelujah said out loud as a response to his alter ego, knowing that he must seem like some sort of freak when talking to himself.
But it didn't matter if they thought he was a freak, he was a freak. Not someone that people should be around even. Looking around the cantina he noticed the red armor of a mandalorian, and as he did his pupils dilated. Turning away he hoped that the mandalorian hadn't seem him, if he was the target then he should leave. But why would a mando be looking for him, they couldn't be looking for him right. He wasn't a mando, he had never fully been a mandalorian.

Della raised an eyebrow. Her instincts to run and flee suddenly kicked in, but she was in control of herself. There was something not quite right here. But, she couldn't put her finger on it. Still, she was safer here than she probably would be outside the cantina. Best to play her cards right and avoid trouble.

"I mean no trouble, my friend. I seek to make others happy. That is all."

Switching his focus from his alter ego sitting in front of him he watched the woman as she spoke, despite the disguise that she had. He had been able to see through it, it was only a small detail that had given it away. The part of the neck where on every man you could see the adam's apple, she didn't have it. And her voice despite sounding more masculine then it should be still had a slightly higher pitch then the voice of a man, such tiny details that was so easily overlooked.
Glancing at the waitress that put down the bottle with beer with a smirk, before letting his eyes wander back to the woman with a tale that held a lesson if you could decipher them. The smirk that had been on his face vanished soon there after as he studied the person, drinking from the beer a few seconds later before motioning for the person to come over with a nod of his head. And then turning his eyes away from her, staring at the table.

((OOC: Apologies if I made it so that my character discovered that your character Della was in fact a woman in disguise to easily.))

Della smiled. She had one story that she recently made based on her own experiences, but those were usually the best stories to learn from. After a few moments to flesh out her thoughts she leaned back on her chair and got comfortable.

There was once a rabbit and a snake.

The rabbit had heard from all the other animals about how mean and dangerous snake was. Rabbit was told to stay away from snake at all costs. But, Rabbit needed to ask the snake a question. So, he looked for snake in the tall grasses.

When he saw snake, Snake was curled up all alone and brooding.

"Friend Snake, why do you bite others?" he asked. But snake did not reply. For you see, snake was so used to being feared and mistreated by the other animals that he did not know what to say to rabbit or how to act. So, Snake bit rabbit on the face.

Rabbit became very ill. So sick that he thought he would die. He writhed in pain and sweated. It was days of this suffering before he was well enough to recover. But, Rabbit was stubborn. He forgave snake for the bite.

So, he visited snake again. He approached him more gently this time.

"Snake, I do not hold it against you for what you did. Perhaps, deserved it. But I will not hate you for what you did. I forgive you." said Rabbit. For the firt time in his life, snake felt something stir in him. It was regret. But, this sad feeling would be washed away with hope.

Snake did not say a word to Rabbit, but crawled up Rabbit's back to lay between his new friend's ears. So, they journeyed together as friends. They went through many trials and learned many things from each other. Snake was greaetful for finally having a friend and Rabbit enjoyed his unusual companion's wisdom about the world.

One day though, they encountered a pale wolf with eyes like black cinders. The wolf had spotted Rabbit, but not snake. It was determined to eat rabbit and began to chase rabbit down. When the Wolf backed Rabbit into a corner and lunged to kill him, snake sprung from the ears of rabbit and bit wolf in the face. The poor wolf was in misery and pain, allowing the two friends to make an escape.

Never would Rabbit imagine that extending forgiveness and friendship could lead to saving his life. He was eternally grateful to the snake for his courage and repaid the snake in full for his sacrifice.

"So, what do you think? Pretty interesting, hrm?"

Allelujah listened to the story that she told him, fixing his eyes on her as he listened to it. A story of a rabbit, a snake and a wolf that sought to devour the rabbit. Interesting tale, one filled with friendship and sacrifice to help a friend in need, when one was alone, you are not strong. When you are in a group you are stronger. It's about making bonds, that is what the story is about he would say.”It tells of how forgiving can gain a friend, a friend that some day would not hesitate to help you if you are in need.” he said after a few minutes.”Am I right miss?” he asked her.

"Um, perfectly right! I'd rather you didn't call me a miss. Gets the wrong kind of attention, i you get my drift." Della sat closer to the gentleman. There was something odd, she couldn't put her finger on it. Sith? No...not quite...It puzzled her.

"Where you say you from, mister?"

So she didn't want to attract the attention of people, understandable. If you wanted to survive you needed to stay out of peoples interest, and keep yourself from getting any unwanted attention. Such a thing could lead to an early end, not what people wished for. Most people wanted to live for as along as they could, even if it meant to be a suck up.”Very well, I won't call you that.” he said and drank some from the bottle.
Where he was from, a good question even to him. The station he had grown up on had been his home for a few years, but he didn't think that it really was where he was from. No, he didn't think that it was where he really was from.”Don't know, can't remember.” he responded to her question.”And you?”

"Just call me Geoffery. I'm from a place quite far. A tiny little planet. Quite insignificant. I'm a bit of a wanderer these days. Just try to bring joy to others and stay afloat. So far, I've done quite well. Always had a little bit of food in my belly and I keep reasonably clean. Can't ask for more than that." Della chuckled.

"You're not much of a talker, are you?"
