Hello Jedi,
I noticed that there's seems to be a lot of new padawans looking for guidance, which is great news for the Jedi Order!
If there's any padawans out there who need a little bit of a cram session on Jedi Basics 101, you've come to the right place! When Khelsea first became a Jedi officially, her skill set was far behind other Jedi her age. She hasn't forgotten her first IC class with newly promoted Master Rane Vastra, and she had appreciated his effort to reach out and help refresh her knowledge of the Jedi basics by providing a day-long cram class on Force powers and Jedi Philosophy. Now that she's been promoted to a Knight and has a much better understanding of these skills, she is attempting to provide a similar type of training. As we will not really touch on more advanced skills, this class will be catered to newer characters. More experienced padawans are welcome too, but don't expect anything significantly new.
What to expect:
- Quality time spent with other Jedi
- Your character will gain some sort of understanding of what it means to be a Jedi
- Lesson in the art of movement (Force Speed, Force Jump, and putting it all together)
- Lesson on Telekinesis
- Possibly additional training [TBD]
Several things to note:
- I'll expect replies to be quick, within 48-72 hours after the most recent post. If there is no post after 72 hours, we will continue without you. Feel free to butt back in before the round of posting is over, but if I have already posted then you will accept your character's fate. (They will not be harmed physically or mentally. I will make up some reason for the character not responding. For example, they fell asleep because they ate too much. Feel free to wake them up the next time you have a chance to post.)
- I have a few personal IC/OOC preferences, so this won't be a first come first serve.
- I'm hoping that this won't be just a training class, but a chance for different Jedi to come together and build relationships.
- In case anyone is like me and cares about their character's timeline, this class will take place on Naboo about two months after the conclusion of the Battle of Naboo.
The class will be kept small for several reasons:
- We can go through everything more quickly and have shorter wait times between posters!
- I noticed that threads with a lower number of participants generally has a higher chance of reaching completion!
- Most importantly, because it's Khelsea's first time teaching a class, if its a disaster... less people = easier damage control!
