[Jedi Mission] Investigating Missing Diplomats

Rehni was on the trail, following it through the streets, letting the Force take control of her body as it pulled it through a maze until she reached a shuttle...taking off....

She skid to a halt and tapped in codes to her comm-link giving a description of the ship class as it took off. She sent out alerts to local enforcement, to send their ships to intercept before the shuttle got too far in the atmosphere. She closed her eyes and reached into the Force feeling for who was on board...easily, but now a little difficult to detect, a Bogan, and a few frightened individuals, vulnerable too, she begun to scramble code to reach the pilot. No avail.

She shut her eyes tight, reaching deep into the Force, she could feel the ripples turning into waves as she felt the ship between the waves. She started to pull, the Umbaran officers had the ship surrounded and were keeping it from going past the atmosphere. Her arms fully outstretched she could feel the steel on her finger tips, it was straining every muscle in her body to keep the ship in her grasp. Rehni reached further into the Force calling upon it louder, she felt a twitch and heard a loud roar of the shuttle's engines trying to repulse against her.

The young Knight yelled, bringing back into her control, the Force was with her as it begun moving back towards the earth; it was getting closer, overhead now, she could hear the steal creak as the Force held it in its place. It started to get easier as she brought it skidding on the streets, people ran as the shuttle skidded down into the streets. Rehni let it come to a screeching halt, her lightsaber already ignited as she cut her own door into the ship.

Barrel was in the process of brainwashing Senator Skeith when the shuttle lurched. It began to descend. Barrel grabbed ahold of a post and kept his balance as the shuttle crashed into the ground.

Barrel poised himself for an incoming attack. He grabbed his lightsaber and ignited it. A blade of energy cut a hole in the ship near Senator Skeith. As Barrel turned around, the cut metal fell, leaving a gap in the hull.

A Jedi! sneered Barrel.

Barrel struck Force Lightning at the Jedi. As he advanced, he swung hard vertically at the Jedi, starting at Rehni's head. If that didn't work, he'd use telekinesis to lift the Jedi off the ground and attempt to disarm her.

Her senses were on full alert, a bubble went up around Rehni and the lightning absorbed in the energy shield. She blocked his attack and used Force grip to hold his body in place and pulling him out of the ship, throwing him to the ground, "Surrender Bogan!" she cried at him, "You will notting wins this."

 

[Dmitri]

"The Bogan are immortal!" praised Barrel. "We never lose. We only lose our weakness."

Barrel broke free of Rehni's Force Grip. He grabbed a second lightsaber and charged. With one hand, he swung vertically. With the other, he swung horizontally. With accurate coordination, the two blades would miss each other since the vertical swing lagged behind the horizontal.

After his swings, Barrel decided it would be best to retreat a few feet and cast Force Lightning. However, before he'd be able to cast Force Lightning. A bullet would speed past his head. The target was not the Lamia, but Rehni. The bullet continued to advance at the Jedi. However, the gunman was not Barrel's hired goon.

The shooter was Senator Skeith, his eyes screaming rage.

Rehni blocked both his blades pushing herself away from him giving them distance. There was a twinge in the Force someone else was to threaten her life, her eyes focused on the Senator, Well blasts...

The Force's waves were splashing against her, the warning she had received just moments earlier now hit her in the arm. She would take care of the Bogan then help the Senator. She threw out her hand and released a blinding Force flash before attacking the Bogan. Her armed stung with every swing she swung at him.

 

[Dmitri]

Barrel's eyes hurt when Rehni used Force Flash. Momentarily blind, the Lamia had to rely on his other senses, and the Force.

Barrel sensed Rehni's incoming attack. He blocked it, but before he could use the second lightsaber for a counterattack, Rehni swung again and again. He was slowly losing strength.

"I cannot lose," hissed Barrel.

Barrel dropped to the ground and kicked at Rehni's chest. He used telekinesis to push Rehni's arms into the air so she could not use her lightsabers to stop Barrel's leg. Following the kick, he stood up and slashed horizontally with both lightsabers.

 

[GABA]

The kick sent Rehni stumbling backwards, she could feel the heat of his blades slide across her chest, a near-miss. She recovered bringing her blade back down to push away his blades. The knight Forced gripped the dark jedi again and threw him against the wall of one of the buildings lining the street.

 

[Dmitri]

Barrel was about to strike again with his lightsabers when an invisible force threw him into the wall of the shuttle. Senator Skeith was still standing in the hole Rehni had carved, holding a blaster.

"Senator Skeith, this person is a Bogan," lied Barrel. "Please don't let her take away your planet's freedom."

"Yes... Master Karasu..." said Skeith in a drone-like fashion.

Senator Skeith began firing his blaster at Rehni. While Skeith was shooting, Barrel unleashed Force Lightning from his left hand while using his right hand to coordinate his telekinesis, pulling on Rehni's leg, attempting to trip her.

 

[GABA]

Rehni now understood what was wrong with the senator. Rehni kept moving and dodged the blaster bolts, her wound was bleeding pretty good and didn't want another in her body. The Bogan's attack was seen in the Force, Rehni once more absorbed his force lightning in her Force bubble, but she felt something grab her ankle and pull her down.

The knight rolled back to her feet, she grabbed the steel door she had cut out from the ship and threw it at the Bogan, giving her a moment to reach the Senator; using the aid of Force speed, she was in front of the senator in a flash, she used her blade to disarm the blaster and forced push the senator back into the ship before turning her attention back to the Bogan.

 

[Dmitri]

"Get back out here!" ordered Barrel.

Skeith didn't come out of the shuttle. Barrel pushed the steel plate off him and threw it back at Rehni. As it flew towards the Jedi, he used Force Lightning on the metal, amplifying the attack. He then tried Force Grip on Rehni to immobilize her.

Moments later, Skeith exited the shuttle, wielding the dead pilot's blaster. He began shooting at Rehni. With each step, he made his way farther from Rehni and closer to Barrel.

Rehni threw a force push back at the steel electricfied door, sending it up and over the buildings, landing a few blocks away. Rehni leaped onto the ship to avoid more firing from the mind controlled senator. She sent a force push to knock him off his feet and sent him skidding across the street. She pushed off the shuttle into the air and landed in front of the Bogan, the ground cracking around her. She raised her hand and released another Force flash and swung her blade across his torso.

 

[Dmitri]

Skeith was thrown a distance, his blaster skidding even farther. The brainwashed Senator stood up and ran for the weapon.

Barrel was disappointed that of the ineffectiveness of Skeith's aim. Probably due to Skeith being a politician rather than a soldier.

Rehni jumped in front of Barrel and got ready for another Force Flash. Barrel was ready this time, covering his eyes. As the light diminished, what should have been temporary blindness was not a poise to attack.

Barrel casted Force Lightning from both hands from his pointer and middle fingers while using the rest to keep grab of the lightsabers. The Lamia hoped the combined strength of both hands would defeat Rehni's Force bubble. Since the lightning was aimed at Rehni's sides, any attempt to move to the side would put her in direct aim of one of the currents. With the shuttle to Rehni's back, Barrel telekinetically lifted the metal door over Rehni's head with the intention of dropping it on her. He knew he was using too much energy but he had to risk it. If anything, he could always feed on Skeith and replenish his energy, leaving him with the advantage over the weakening Jedi.

 

[GABA]

The Force Lightning caught Rehni and sent her flying backwards. She lost her lightsaber upon hitting the ground, she lied flat on her back she clearly saw the door being lifted to fall on her, Sh....

The Knight felt the door, her nose cracked, and her ribs, but she wasn't going to give up; the metal door flew back up with a burst of energy. She felt in the Force for her blade and it went flying back into her fingers, ignited and with a burst, she was on the dark jedi with her blade through his torso, ripping across his body.

 

[Dmitri]

"Im...poss...ible..." stammered Barrel, gasping for air.

His teeth retracting, he bared his fangs at Rehni. As he was about to bite Rehni in the neck, the wound took its toll. The Lamia collapsed, dead.

"Dammit! There goes another," cursed Skeith. He shook his head. "...What?"

Rehni gasped, her own wounds were beginning to take a toll as she kept taking quick deep breaths to make up for her collapsed lung. The knight stumbled over to the Senator, cautious, holding out her hand to feel in the Force for anything odd. "Senator Skeith? Hows ising you?" she asked placing a hand on his shoulder.

 

[Dmitri]

"I... I don't know," said Senator Skeith. "I received an invitation to some event on Zeltros. When I went to the shuttle that would pick me," he nodded to the junk heap nearby, "I was ambushed by two Bogan: a Shi'ido and a Lamia. What about the Shi'ido? Is it dead?"

Senator shook his head. His brain hurt like hell.

"Anyways, I've heard rumors about Senators disappearing," remembered Skeith. "They may have been sent that invitation. Gabriel Djibril and Jaryl Draxl both mentioned receiving invitations too; Jaryl accepted and I haven't heard from him since." He gasped. "They may have been connected." Senator Skeith rumaged through his pockets, taking out the invitation. It had the address of a resort on Zeltros. "This should-"

Blood splattered across Rehni's face. The pilot, having awakened, had crawled out of the wreckage and picked up the gun Skeith had first used. The pilot fired the gun, the handgun blasting Skeith's head. The Senator collapsed.

OOC: The Shi'ido is Fake Skeith from before. You should be able to learn where the other Senators are by doing drain knowledge on the pilot.

Rehni let out a loud gasp, even as a Jedi some things were still shocking. She looked up to see the pilot from the shuttle; she grabbed the blaster with the Force and crushed it; The knight stood, she hand a Force grip on the pilot to keep him from running away as she strolled slowly over to the pilot. She grabbed him by his clothes and pulled him close to her, "Where. Were. They. Taking. Senators?" she spoke each word slowly with a thrust of frustration behind each word.

OOC: Drain Knowledge is not a 'Jedi' thing, its on the dark side.

OOC: Lame!

"Like I'd tell you they're at the Eye of Shalharra," declared the pilot. His eyes widened, realizing he had accidently revealed where the Senators had been shipped off to.

The pilot cursed. The Eye of Shalharra wasn't too hard to find. It was a Crown-class space station located in the Lybeya System. A former Republic satellite turned Alsakan base turned colony, it had a small reputation for collecting Alsakan refugees from the Alsakan Crisis. Rumors were that pirates and warlords occasionally used it to hide things, or in this case, people.

Rehni cracked a grin, "Likes you seemed you doing."

The Knight placed her palm on the pilot's forehead as she preformed a Force Stun rendering the pilot unconscious for the proper authorities to take away. She dropped the pilot to the ground, the police were moving in seeing that the area was safe for civilians to take over. The knight was able to persuade an Umbaran Doctor to come with her so he could treat her on her way to the former Alsakan Base.

The knight sat aboard the shuttle an IV of fluids and bacta pumping through her body as they made their way to the space stations. Rehni could feel her lung functioning again. Thank goodness for the Force. Several hours later she reached the station. She didn't bother hiding her presence and walked off the shuttle. It was definitely an interesting crowd of people, no one could be grouped together. She felt in the Force, hoping she could feel reminiscence of the Bogan who was previously.

 

[Dmitri]

The next day, Gabriel Djibril visited Rehni in the hospital. He sat down in a chair near the Jedi's bed. He had heard that the Umbaran doctors were going to discharge the Jedi later that day.

"Well, Ms. Rehni, I have good news," informed Djibril. "Captain Bianca Lockhart and her team raided the Eye of Shalharra two hours ago. The other Senators were found in one of the warehouses. They're all safe." His thoughts turned to the late Skeith. "...well, almost all of them." He tried to put on a happier face. "You did good. Don't feel bad about Senator Skeith. We'll all miss him. While Senator Skeith may have died, you save the lives of half a dozen other Senators. You should feel proud of yourself."
