Jedi Knight Larik Novan was on his back on top of his bunk. His datapad was held above him as the newly knighted Corellian looked over a message he had just gotten from the Council. He and another more senior Jedi Knight would be traveling to the less esteemed part of Coruscant to involve some reports of serious black market trading. Normally the Coruscanti Defense Force or Security Force could handle it, but reports had also been made about force users, lightsabers, and rare crystals being involved. While it was probably nothing out of the ordinary, it was a time of war, and one couldn't be too sure.

Larik had heard of Jedi Knight Fyston Sutsgy, but had never met the man in person. It was be an interesting aspect, working with a knight that he had never met, but Sutsgy had been known to be able to handle himself, and Larik felt confident in that report. Sighing, and content he knew all there was to know, Larik threw the datapad down on his bunk beside him jumped up. He dressed into his Jedi robes quickly, picking up everything he would need for the mission. His robes and lightsaber were it; he wasn't expecting to be gone for more than a few hours, and what else would he need?

Exiting the dormitories Knight Novan headed for the main hall of the Jedi Coruscant Temple, where he'd be meeting Knight Sutsgy. He was in no rush, and so the Jedi moved easily though the halls, looking at the bustle that surrounded him. There were Padawans, Initiates, and Knights scrambling around to do this and that; with the occasional Master moving through with purpose. It was odd to think that only a few weeks before, Larik too had been a padawan; but now he was a knight.

Jedi Knight Larik Novan of Corellian.

He liked that.

When he heard of a chance to do some investigating, Fyston had volunteered without hesitation. He needed some time out of his usual environment, and what better way to get out than to do a mission? Considering his childhood and the fact that he used to tail people who were ducking Hutts and their enforcers, Fyston was more than ready to track down some black market thieves. It may take some getting used to, being back in the field, but one never forgot how to investigate, particularly when you did it to survive as a teenager and did it as part of your job as a Jedi. He'd done more than his fair share of investigations during his Padawanship and his early Knighthood, and it would be a good way to get back into the swing of things.

And so he stood behind a pillar in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, dressed in not his Jedi robes but the garb of a smuggler. He even had his Model 434 in a holster while his lightsaber was cleverly disguised as a hydrospanner, a necessity for any smuggler worth his spice. His hat shadowed his face while a simple bandana covered the bottom portion of it. While some preferred wearing traditional Jedi robes for such an assignment, Fyston's experience led him to value a disguise.

Speaking of experience, he glanced over at the main hall, where a younger looking man stood, obviously waiting for someone. It wouldn't be hard for the Knight to sneak up on him, though his smuggler's gear would be enough cover considering the fact that his fellow Knight probably expected someone in Jedi clothing. His presence in the Force would be masked by the Temple itself, as well as all of the Jedi inside.

As he approached, he stopped and adjusted his hat, smiling briefly beneath his bandana. "Hello there, lad. I take it you're Larik Novan? If so, go find something else to wear. We're investigating the black market and everyone shuts up when there are Jedi around. We'll be chasing our tails for the next few weeks. I can find something to fit you, but it'd be something similar to this. Investigations go smoother when you don't look like the law. I'd also disguise your lightsaber, be it as a hydrospanner or a glow rod. All of this is up to you, of course, these are just my suggestions."

Larik turned, his eyebrows going up with surprise as the senior Jedi barraged him with his suggestion and his reasoning behind it. Promoted and feeling a bit being 'suggest' a round, Larik opened his mouth to mention how it would be a perfect viable distraction for Sutsgy to sneak in, while everyone's attention was focused on the Jedi. Closing his mouth, though, it didn't take long for the young Knight to recognize that his partner was right. Nodding his head and giving the man a smile, Larik turned on his heels and headed up to his quarters to change. The Knight chose his tight black turtleneck and black operative pants. He looked around the room. Seeing a glow rod, he walked over to it and took out the power cell and the backup powercell. The space in the handle, which was longer than most glowrods, perfectly fit his lightsaber. Shoving it in and closing the cap, the Jedi turned around and moved quickly back down to the temple main hall.

Among the hustle and bustle of the industrial sector Artyom merely sat. His ass planted on top of an oil drum, eyes seemingly glued to the small leatherbound book he supported with a hand in his lap, a small pen in his hand continuing to jot down among the illegible mess of yellowing papers and what one might confuse rather poorly drawn stickfigures. He didn't seem to all too much care for the background around him, the grinding of metal, moving of men, and general rumble of machinery that seemed to surround him was but a passing presence easily forgotten in his seeming unbreakable focus on that simple book. But it too was seemingly a passing interest as he pocketed the pen, slid himself off the barrel, and with care slid the aformentioned book safely inside the jacket.

His mind would wander back to the present as he pulled the gasmask from his head and back over his face, his attention briefly turning to the various workers who at the moment were carting out various large unmarked crates of supplies, weapons, and other materials from small transports and into the large warehouse before them. It was one of many warehouses much like it that sat within that district, but this one was special, Whereas the others held wares for big businesses, this one was going to house something much greater, It would serve as a hideout for the Imperial Knights, a small little enclave ones could come rest at for whatever reason necessary. As long as they paid the bills. The other Knights that accompanies him either helping along with the setup or perhaps doing a little shopping for themselves, whatever the reason he had long since forgotten where they had gone or went.

From there his stride carried him forward and to the warehouse in question, his eyes eagerly flicked over the garganutan building, It was solid. Steel walls. A Reinforced duracrete foundation. A Security door large enough a tank could have issues punching into it, and large enough to house a moderate sized ship and whatever equipment, yet non-descript in its appearance. Functionally it was Perfect.

Under that mask he could only smile.

To most of the other walker bys, the warehouse was just simply another warehouse. Surrounded by a two meter tall perimeter of chain link topped with barbed wire it did little to draw attention to itself. While it was obvious that someone or something had recently procured it, not much was different aside from workers loading various crates and boxes into it. Over the last few days, the only noticeable addition to the otherwise unremarkable building was a single female guard and and even they weren't much to look at either, dressed in a long grey jacket and concealing hat. All in all, the warehouse was not a thing of beauty to most that walked the area and as such, it was quickly pushed out of mind and care.

Of course to the guard, Claire, she didn't care for whether or not she stood out. It was for the better that she didn't. While she had doubts that the Empire's grasp was as strong on Coruscant as on the border worlds vigiliance was it's own reward. Afterall, it was better she remained ever vigilant and have nothing happen than for her to slack and have a potential hostile sneak through. Of course she had to leave behind her own preferred suit of armor as it would have been too bulky and gathered too much attention and don something less military.

As a bonus, the long jacket also helped cover up her current set of Templar armor. She had made it after discovering suits upon suits of unused Imperial Knight armor and after receiving permission to do so, had decided to recast and remake them into something less eye catching but every bit as functional. As a personal touch, she had painted it black to make it look more like a common set of security armor and added a pair of pauldrons that covered her upper arms and shoulders. So far the suit of armor had proven itself comfortable and out of the way for low effort activities and her workshop tests had shown that it could resist quite a few shots from a blaster. Of course she wasn't keen on finding out it's effectiveness in the field but somebody was bound to have to do it.

Completing yet another round around the building, Claire quickly chucked a small toy ball onto the main path and noted with some delight as the ball struck the pavement and bounced away. If anything, this was a sign that the remote activated defenses were definitely still offline. Had they been online, the trinket most likely would have been destroyed and she would have to answer more than a few awkward question. Of course this being the latest of numerous different tests she had expected the same result as the previous times but once again, vigilance was always the better option.

Picking up and pocketing the toy from it's resting spot she started making her way towards her destination, the warehouse itself. While she had spent most of her time setting up the active and passive defenses around the warehouse in the nights before the others had arrived, she had yet to actually do anything inside the building as she had wanted to wait until the others were here before doing anything. Hell, for the last couple days she had basically been living out of the attached security building. The thing had everything she needed anyways and she wasn't used to having the amount of luxuries that most other places offered her. Entering the Warehouse, she made note of the various crates being piled inside before spotting one of the other knights. Walking up to the man, she began to talk.

"It is quite a nice building, is it not?" Claire said as she took a look around the warehouse. It was spacious enough for the things she had in mind and it was most definitely out of the way. With a few splashes of paint, some furniture, and a few rugs and she was sure it could be made quite comfortable. "Ah, my apologies. I've yet to introduce myself. I'm Claire, the person who had scouted this place out. If I'm not mistaken, you are Shevchenko correct? It is a pleasure meet you." Claire said as she bowed curtly, a relaxed smile on her face as her left eye slowly dimmed from a dull red to a light amber. "May I ask as to what you're thinking about?"

Coruscant centre of the galaxy and one of the best places to buy illegal weaponry in the core, he'd been on world for little over a day now, having docked his shuttle in a secure holding the streets had called and shunning his armour he'd set out heading down into the under city wandering in a seemingly aimless pattern he'd fingered through a dozen market stalls and entered a number of stores but had yet to make any purchases, but the he was looking for very specific thing.

Dressed in a light combat harness that he rest of his armour would hang off he'd draped a long coat of dark brown hide over himself giving himself the look of a well equipped bounty hunter, his cortosis sword stuck out of a shoulder sheathe while his lightsabers were tucked into pouches on his hips next to a pair of throwaway blaster pistols, the rest of the pouches contained electronic devices and monitoring equipment.

He paused at the mouth of a street filled with bars and clubs turning he strode up it almost half way before he turned up a narrow alleyway and stopped by a heavy set green door he hammered his fist on the surface and waited, a window slid open and a pair of lenses looked out at him.

"What do you want?"

"I'm looking to buy some articles."

There was a long pause and hen the door opened and he stepped inside, greeting him was a small shop the counters lined with blasters and weapons he looked around as the. Owner moved inwards, a Kel Dor he had suffered bad in life a cybernetic leg and arm testament to injuries sustained in a war long ago.

"What you looking for?"

He slid a blaster from the holster at his hip and passed it over.

"This is a very special item, very illegal, I could have the Jedi kicking my door down if I dealt in these."

"And still you trade in them."

"All I have is what's in here there isn't anything like this here you can see that much for yourself."

He gestured almost dismissively.

"You want to show me what's out back."

The Kel Dor swayed back and relaxed dropping his voice.

"Come let me show you what's in the back, I have something that will interest you there."

He was led through the shop to a smaller room filled with heavy weapons and other more exotic weapons he fingered through several picking up a lightsaber as the shop owner pulled out a collection of blasters.

"These what you looking for?"

He turned his attention to the blasters laying the lightsaber down beside them, and looked them over.

"Yes how much?"

"Not cheap, these are untraceable you understand, clean weapons like this are and to come by, these four will cost you three thousand a piece."

He lifted his hand.

"You'll take five hundred for the four."

"Four for five hundred you have a deal."

His hand waved again.

"And another five for the lightsaber."

"Deal, tell me what's you name friend."

"I want the delivered to this warehouse by morning."

He handed a data chip with the address of the new safe house.

"Of course, but I need to know who the order is for."

"Cord Kanos, but you'll never remember that."

His hand clamped on the Kel Dor's head.

Cord left the store the way he entered lightsaber in his hand he tucked in into coat and turned in the direction of the warehouse he was long overdue for a check in.

It has been over a week since Fyston has been on and about. For that reason, I'm going to continue this without him, so you guys don't have to wait any longer. Fyston, when you get back... you're welcome to jump right back in!

Larik arrived back into the main hall of the Temple relatively quickly. When he arrived, however, his fellow Jedi Knight was not where he left him. Searching around the hall, Larik couldn't seem to find his partner. Shrugging it off and figuring the man had gone on, Larik set out for the warehouse district. The Jedi Knight didn't really feel annoyed at Fyston, but he would have appreciated a little heads up. Shrugging it off, he made his way to the district.

Once the Corellian arrived at the district, he glanced at his datapad. It was large district with lots and lots of people, but that would certainly help with Larik being discrete as he peered in and out of different operations. There was an unused warehouse to the Larik's left, and he decided to start there. Walking towards the gate, Larik dropped his datapad on the ground. Bending down, he grabbed it and looked up. Reasonably comfortable no one was taking particular notice of him, he called upon the force and disappeared. The Jedi walked through the gate and to the building. It was locked tight, and so he moved around to the back. Letting himself reappear, Larik jumped up onto a box with the help of the force and peered into the window.

Empty.

Muttering to himself, he hopped down and again made himself invisible. He had noticed a few small transports unloading unmarked crates into the next warehouse, and figured he might as well check it out. Using the force to leap over the separating fences, Larik withdrew into the shadows before letting his image reappear. Lots of use of the force would tire him out, and he had to be careful... who knew what he would have to deal with.

Larik reached out into the force in the building and surrounding it, trying to feel how many workers were in there.

To his surprise, Larik's consciousness brushed with that of... two force sensitives? But they were well trained. The Jedi Knight's eyes opened wide in surprise as he felt the two presences. They weren't sith, for sure, but Larik didn't know of any other Jedi in the sector currently. He knew they could feel him now, however, and so Larik walked out into the wide opening in the building between the folks inside and the transports behind him. He looked in, his hand resting on his glow rod.

The warehouse was just up ahead he could see the roof beyond and empty warehouse and as he turned into yard he paused something spiked his senses he could feel his fellow knights inside two of them but there was a third unfamiliar individual outside he slide his blaster from one of the holsters and shrouded himself with the force as he walked towards the warehouse entrance his eyes slid to a figure, dressed like a worker he was heading for the opening his eyes followed the hand to what appeared to be a glow rod hanging on his belt, hanging like a weapon and the way his hand hovered over it he knew its true purpose and swapped the blaster to his other hand drawing the cortosis sword over his shoulder.

Stepping up behind the figure he levelled the pistol at the small of his back while keeping a distance that he'd be able to act should he be engaged in combat.

"You're looking in the wrong place friend, I suggest you turn around and forget you were here."

It was with a slight moment of silence that he was yet once again roused from his thoughts, this time by the voice of another. Looking to her he merely listened, taking in the words and giving her a quick look up and down she spoke, introducing herself to him. The lady was another one of the Knights who was working on the warehouse, though the two hadn't exchanged words up till now, It was nice to finally have some time to speak.

"It's not a Problem. And you can call my Artyom if you wish. It's a pleasure to meet you." He spoke somewhat muffled by the mask, a slight nod coming about as his attention turned back to the building itself. Like she herself had said, it was a nice building, fit their purposes, and ultimately was what they would need. "Not all that much. I guess." He spoke a moment further, pausing before turning his head back once again, but he paused, before he could speak something would catch his attention. Out of the corner of his eye he seena slight blink of red, he turned further his eyes focusing past Claire's shoulder and on the blinking Sign that hung on the wall, the center of it bearing a stylised warning bell with a few other lit up markers on it. Evidently one of the many security measures that Claire had evidently put in place. A silent alarm system that practically irregardless of who or what was coming in was designed to go off signalling the arrival of both visitors and intruders. 'God Damnit'

"We've got visitors." Was the only thing he said as he twisted himself around, the array of gear he held on him giving out a couple slight clinks as he headed out, motioning with one hand for claire to follow while the other prepared his weapon, pulling the metal and wood assault rifle up to his shoulder and idle mindedly giving the bolt a customary tug, leaving a small brass cased slug to fall to the floor behind him. As he walked back out under the buidings sigular massive primary door his head darted around, Many of the workers already packing up and beginning to leave having delivered the majority of the shipments available. With silent steps he continued around, his brisk pace taking him from the front and out to the side of the building, only stopping for a short moment around the corner as he observed the sound of someone speaking. With a final bit he turned, His rifle level forward as he looked down the sights. Not even a moment later though, he merely lowered it down, keeping it at the ready but not actively pointing it.

Directly ahead of him, no more than thirty meters, Stood the third imperial Knight who was working in the area. His gun quite evidently levelled with a figure who though he could not see behind his cover, He could sense to some unknown extent. His brow furrowed. Though something was evidently happening, he had little idea of what and how, he was more so displeased with the security breach and the gun pointing than anything else. After all, these warehouses were only known to very few. It couldn't be all too major.

"Okay. Weapons down. What the hell is happening?" Was all he spit out. His vision changing briefly between the crate and the Imperial Knight who stood further away.

"Trespasser, sneaking around."

His attention shifted to the Imperial Knight for the briefest of seconds and he lowered his pistol do to his side keeping his blade ready.

"I was just informing him this was private property and asking him to leave."

Claire nodded politely along at her fellow Knight's introduction. It was brief but it's length was understandable seeing as how the location was not quite... secure, yet. While she suspected that a majority of the workers were not listening she has come to know and respect the fact that someone was always listening. Matters regarding the Knights could come later, once all the workers had finished unloading the cargo and were gone.
While she wasn't sure of it, she had an inkling of a guess that the two Knights with her were Force Users. It wasn't that much of a question anyways. She could count the number of non-Force Knights known to her on one hand. Thinking on it, she had to wonder why exactly was that. She was quite sure that there had been more people supportive of the cause that weren't Force Sensitive yet she barely ever ran into any. Maybe it was just her luck?

Wherever that line of thought was going was quickly lost as she became acutely aware of an intrusion thanks to a quiet alarm going off in her comm. She quickly turned her head to check the visual alarm and couldn't help but feel a bit of amusement over the fact that someone had actually set off the alarms installed at the interior of the fence lining. Probably climbed over or some other similar tactic. Had she had time to reflect on it, she'd be insulted that someone would even think of trying such a tactic let alone actually do it.

Of course this was far from her mind at the time. Instead she just quietly fell in behind Artoym as he motioned for her to follow, the almost inaudible click of her boots on duracrete the only hint that she was behind him. As they quickly made their way outside, she couldn't help but notice the taller man arming an automatic slugthrower rifle. While she was barely an expert on the matter, she found it hardly appropriate to produce arms just yet. For all they knew it might just be a mistaken and lost child or something of little consequences that would be frightened by such things; A possibility that was quite quickly dashed as they made it to the origin of a voice that was quite easily heard.

Looking at the scene, it was quite obvious that whoever this intruder was, he wasn't one of the workers. There was a certain personal dignity about him that she couldn't quite place but that wasn't the only tell that she could discern. He was also too well kept and well dressed to be one of the workers too and what little gear on his person that she could see was quite above what the workers that had been hired could afford. Stepping forward to make herself known but keeping a fair distance from the man in case her companions had put the man on edge, she gave the man a soft smile and bowed. Hopefully, that would dispel a bit of the tension and if it didn't it would at least make them look a bit better.

"My apologies sir," She began in a calm tone with the slightest hint of amusement audible. "But you caught my companions and I by surprise and my companions over here," She said as she waved abstractly at the other Knight and Artoym. "Acted in the manner they thought best. I do apologize if they have caused you any undue shock or fear. I must admit though, we were not expecting visitors. May I inquire as to the reason for your sudden intrusion?"

He lowered his blaster then tucked it away looked at his two companions, now was not the time to be firing off a blaster.

He bowed his head to his female counterpart.

"I'll leave him in your capable hands, I'll go round site and check for any holes in the fence line save us the trouble of anyone getting the same treatment."

His eyes shifted to the older man.

"Care to give me a hand?"

There was a whole host of reactions to his intrusions. Larik wasn't a threatening fellow by any means, and he made sure that remained true. The Jedi tried not to move as they all reacted differently, some jumping to conclusions while others seemed to hesitate at making threatening gestures. Larik ensured that the situation was properly diffused before he offered a small grin to those who started questioning him. They held varying degrees of anger in their looks, and Larik turned to the one who seemed the calmest and haved waved off of her friends.

"I don't mean to intrude. I saw those men working and was wondering if I could get some work, I could use the extra credits." Larik flashed them a smile, his thick Corellian accent replaced by one of New Alderaan, a perfect accent for the few words the man spoke. He remained calm, attempting to not make any motions that could be considered aggressive.

Artyom had let out a deep breath, one muffled oddly, as he turned around taking a few steps in off to the side before turning back around and proceeding to do the same more than once. All the while giving his hands a slight clap, rubbing them together, and overall fidgeting for a few moments while claire did her thing. It was overall as if he was more so woundup, bored, or perhaps anxious. Not that one could really tell one or the other apart with him. Not that it mattered. With a slight pause he turned himself back to the trio, Specifically turning briefly to Cord.

"Just a moment." He answered the other Imperial Knight, taking a few steps closer to the intruder, bypassing claire all together, and squatting down to the ground, his gear clinking about as he focused himself on Larik, not even bothering to attempt to conceal his presence in the force. Overall he wasn't fully sure what to do with the man, but a few things were for certain. "Well then. You seem to be in quite a pickle aren't you?" He spoke through his mask, his tone less threatening and more curious than anything.

"As for work though....." He paused for a moment as he reached up, unclipping the Gas Mask that had previously covered his face and curiously holding it off to the side for a brief moment, curiously concealing part of his face for a moment, before merely letting it fall to hang from his neck and over his chest. "Perhaps my companion here can find something for you to do. But next time I'd suggest the front gate." He finished as he stood to his feet, offering a slight nod to Claire before making his way to Cord.

"Well then. Fences shall we?"

The Jedi Knight did not react as the Imperial Knight told him about the pickle he was, and told him of how bad of a liar he was. The man seemed to think he knew who Larik was, but the Jedi was unconvinced. He regarded the man with an odd look at his turned to his fellow companions and invited them to go search the fences with him. Realizing his ploy would probably be up soon, anyways, unless he could make a quick escape, Larik decided to go down a different route.

"Who are all of you?" he asked, he eyebrows furrowed. He obviously wasn't looking for names, but something more general. The young Corellian no longer seemed interested in work.

He walked with his fellow knight disappearing round the edge of the warehouse and once out of sight slid a small silver orb from within his clothing.

"I don't trust him, there is something about him that sets my senses on edge, something about that glow rod on his leg too."

He lifted the orb up to his face.

"Follow him see where he goes."

The orb popped open and a chirped an acknowledgement at him before floating off into the air.

"Well lets make a show of checking the fence line despite the fact it's already secure."

He headed off to walk the length of the fence

Claire smiled softly as the man in front of her apparently started to lose his composure. Why else would anyone go from 'I'm searching for work' to suspiciously asking for names? She had doubts that she would have to press too much to get him to say a wrong phrase or reveal some info that would let her make a guess as to his nature. There were only a few people that she could pin such a man too but she had to narrow the list first.

With a quiet laugh, she bowed once again before speaking. "You must excuse my companions," She said with a hint of mirth in her voice. It shouldn't be too difficult for her to string this man along. "They are a bit... defensive, when it comes to manners such as these."

"In any event, I believe it is only proper manners to introduce yourself before asking for a lady's name?" She continued, her smile becoming slightly teasing as she spoke. "I would think that you are not the type of man to hide behind a mask and a lie, am I correct?" Claire finished, her tone taking on a slight edge of coldness despite her smile remaining as welcoming and slightly teasing as it had always been.

Larik smiled, "you're not who I was looking for," he said, "I'm Jedi Knight Larik Novan." He paused, looking around at those assembled in front of him. "I'm investigating some black market leads around here and had come to investigate." Larik pointed to an open canister a little ways away, where one of the workers had cracked it open. The opening showed the contents to be bunks, not anything the man was worried about. "I could be wrong, and you can try shooting me if that's true, but those cots doesn't sound like the illegal substances or weaponry I'm looking for.."

"I sense the force with you all, but not a dark presence," he then said, taking a moment to let them realize it hadn't gone unnoticed. His eyebrows raised a little bit, "I don't have anything against that, I just want to make sure you're not here to cause any trouble. Because you're not Jedi." His eyes looked at the Imperial Knights around him, "So, may I ask again, who are you?"
