The Jedi mobile fleet, at this point, was quite busy. From fueling up, to charting new courses to blasting away space junk to maintaining each ship to integrating the Jedi, surviving Temple Security forces, privateers, Wookiee Warriors and Junker engineers seamlessly in the same flotilla without stepping on any toes - life in the Jedi fleet meant that there was always something to do. Unfortunately, such business meant that instructing the Padawans and young Jedi aboard could fall by the wayside. Fortunately, some senior Jedi had carved out some time today to remedy the problem; carving out time for Padawans to learn new skills every Taungsday.
Today's lesson? Dogfighting.
It made sense. Life in a fleet and as a Jedi meant that some days were going to be filled with people in their ships shooting at your people in your ships. Dogfigting was a nice skill to have and Knight-Bot was proud that he had been selected to lead this class. And though the Jedi Masters had designated a few of the Order's Pamarthen pilots to "supervise" the Jedi droid, Knight-Bot preferred to think of them as merely his teaching assistants.As Jedi began pouring into the hangar of the Onager class Star Destroyer that the lesson would start from, Knight-Bot straightened up his knee-servos and let participants know the rules and stakes of today's lesson.
"IDENTIFICATION: I have been designated Knight-Bot and I am here to offer SERVICES: space combat instruction. Any participants in this lesson are to report to any personal vessel or fleet ship of their choosing. I will be flying the IDENTIFICATION: Y-Wing starbomber and accompanied by three IDENTIFCATION: X-Wing starfighters." Knight-Bot said
"My goal will be to use the Y-Wing to drop a bomb on IDENTIFICATION: Jedi frigate Chainbreaker. Your goal is to stop me. For safety reasons, all ship weapons have been replaced by paint cannons and my payload will be a paintbomb. If your ship is covered in paint, you are considered dead and may not engage further in the exercise. If you are able to stop me from delivering the paintbomb, you will receive a special prize. Failure to do so will result in NEGATIVE REINFORCEMENT: cleaning the paint off of the Chainbreaker's hull the next time we dock." Knight-Bot instructed.
