Jektra was born on Nal Hutta into the Cartel. From an early age, he began learning the ins and outs of the criminal lifestyle that was his birthright. While he has had little formal training, the streets of Nal Hutta served as the perfect school for the young Hutt to build his skills. Even at an early age, a mind for business and a knack for slicing caught the attention of serveral of the older Hutts in his clan.
By the age of 60, he was serving as a mid-level enforcer for the Cartel and was often seen with small crew collecting over due debts and other work for the Hutt bosses. As he grew in skill and reputation, he was graduated to more risky and profitable jobs. The small amount of infamy he had begun to build for himself only served to explode his ego. As he began to get a taste of a more luxurious lifestyle, he only pushed harder to make a name for himself.
After a series of perfect jobs, Jektra was on the verge of gaining promotion into the higher ranks of the Cartel. Unknown to him, his sudden raise to power worried those directly over him. They fed him intel on an easy bank job inside Republic Space. It was too good to be true, and Jektra was blinded by the prospect of the fortune this one job could give him.
Soon after he arrived and began executing his plan, he discovered their betrayal, but not before he was arrested and placed in prison. Many times, he was offered lesser charges if he would only provide intel on his Hutt Bosses. Even though his anger, he remained silent, holding to the Hutt code even when his family had not.
He waits silently in prison for his opportunity to get revenge for the betrayal and to gain the riches and power that are rightly his. -
Like many Hutts, Jektra is a creature of pride. He views himself as a more civilized creature than many of the lesser races employed or enslaved by the Hutts. Underneath that pride is an extremely hard work ethic and fierce dedication to building his power base. Even when he his down, he is always planning his next move.
There is no way to be sucessful in the Outer Rim, and not be ruthless and Jektra is no exception. A life of crime has steeled his resolve to commit just about any amount of violence needed to accomplish his goals of earning more power.
While having made a small name for himself, Jektra is still a very young Hutt and is prone to making mistakes of inexperience and underestimating problems. He is capable, but is prone to taking risks to get even just a little further to obtain his goals of being in the upper echelons of the Cartel. -
