STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:

Jericho's strength lays in his combat experience and in his capacity to overwhelm his opponents with his physical prowess and the superior fire-power of his Gauntlet. His power of persuasion is also an asset worth mentioning although he does not do this the conventional way.

Daybreaker's weakness is in his inability to learn new things and stubbornness concerning trying new assault tactics as he usually opts for a full-frontal assault strategy that can be ineffective against a larger or more well-trained force. His lack of speed is also a disadvantage worth noting which is mostly due to the weight of his Gauntlet when in combat- and final-mode.

Jericho Daybreaker's R9-D9[/bThe R9-series astromech droid is the latest in Industrial Automaton's line of R-series astromech droids and the first created during the rule of the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances.

Industrial Automaton's R9-series is similar to its previous R-series models, but R9 droids are notorious for self-enhancing their preservation routines, even if it meant hiding data from their owners.

SHIP:

XS Stock Light Freighter

The XS stock light freighter was considered a major advancement in size, speed and versatility over previous models, such as the Dynamic-class freighter. It was considered one of the fastest and most agile starships in the galaxy. It contained a large cargo hold, including many hidden compartments throughout the ship, ideal for smuggling or simply hiding valuables.

The XS also boasted powerful engines which allowed it to easily outrun most opponents or authorities, but in the event a fight was necessary, it came armed with standard torpedo launchers and laser batteries. In addition, it also held upper and lateral laser turrets which could be fired manually, or remotely from within the cockpit.

Due to the fact that many smugglers and freighter captains both worked and lived aboard their ships, the XS was also designed with many of the standard comforts any being would need, including a lounge for recreation and extra sleeping quarters.

Chapter 1: Origins

Jericho Daybreaker was born on the planet of Coruscant. He grew up in the slums of the lower sectors of the capital planet. Jericho was raised by a single mother, Mariah Daybreaker, and had two younger siblings, a brother two years younger and sister a year younger than himself, named Adam and Eva.

Early life was difficult for the young Jericho as he had to go to school during the morning, work at a construction site during the afternoon and take care of his siblings at night when his mother went to work as a bar hostess at an unknown cantina. Mariah took morning shifts at a restaurant as a waitress as well to try and support her family.

Life was hard for the eldest son of the Daybreaker family as the stress of having to grow up too fast and having to bare the weight of an adult's responsibilities got to Jericho. This caused the youngster to take up smoking and drop out of his first year of high school at the tender age of thirteen. He figured that he could read and write well enough and there was nothing left in school that can be useful to him. The boy focused on his construction job and things went easier for his family but just for a little while.

A year later during an unfortunate traffic accident Jericho's sister, Eva Daybreaker, got paralysed from the waist down and caused permanent brain damage which left the girl in a coma. This struck the family hard as Eva was not only the brightest of the Daybreaker siblings but had received a grant to study at an prestige high school and was guaranteed an interim opportunity at a firm after she graduated. In five short years the family would have been released from their financial strains but instead plummeted down a abyss of medical debt.

Chapter 2: Hard Knocks

After six months the Daybreaker family could no longer afford to pay for Eva's life-support despite Jericho and his mother working morning, afternoon and night shifts. To make matters worse Adam, the youngest Daybreaker, had gotten involved with some shady characters. The youngest was broken by the death of his sister, tired of the poverty they lived in and lacked the attention needed to stay on the right path.

The youngest boy started making spice deliveries for an drug cartel known as the Exchange without Jericho or Mariah knowing what he was up to. It was a well paying job and Adam managed to save up a lot of credits in the year he worked with them. He was planning to use to use the money to help pay his late sister's medical debt she had left behind. On a fateful day, when Adam was delivering an especially large shipment of spice, a rival gang ambushed the boy and left him bruised and broken. They had stolen the spice and Adam was in debt to the Exchange for losing that much spice. The money he had saved up was not enough to cover the loss and it would seem his life was forfeit.

Jericho, almost sixteen now, was working from morning to afternoon at his construction job and at night he was a bouncer at the cantina his mother worked at. All the manual labour the boy had done through the years had man him big and strong which made him the perfect candidate to stop any trouble from unruly customers at the cantina. The eldest Daybreaker got off early that night Adam was attacked and found the boy desperately packing his belongings when he got home.

The boy was fleeing from something and it would appear that Jericho arrived just in time when two armed assailants brust through their apartment door and tried to capture Adam. After a wild fight that ensued that destroyed the whole flat Jericho and his brother managed to escape the would-be kidnappers. Adam explained everything to his eldest brother and Jericho went straight to the Exchange boss to work out a deal.

Chapter 3: First Encounter

The boss was impressed by Jericho's guts and tried to recruit him for the Exchange but the boy refused. He would pay them half of the money his brother owed now and the rest he would make monthly payments with interest until the debt has been settled. Handing over all his life savings to the Exchange the eldest Daybreaker had to come up with a plan to get enough money to pay the syndicate. He did not get enough from his two jobs to make the payments.

The boss had agreed to let Jericho do as he pleased as long as the boy made sure the Exchange got its money on time every month. If not his brother's life will be forfeit and his mother would have to carry the debt of her son. The Daybreaker family had another problem, though. They were out of a home as their apartment had been utterly destroyed by the syndicates' gangsters during their initial kidnap attempt of Adam.

With no place to stay and the combined income of Jericho and Mariah not nearly enough to cover Adam's debt it would seem the Daybreaker family was going down in a ball of flames. Adam was still too young to do anything useful, only fourteen years of age, and Mariah was doing the best she can juggling three jobs to try and keep their heads above the water. It was up to the eldest son to try and save not only his brother's life but also what they had left of their family. He only knew one way how.

At the age of sixteen the boy enlisted as an Ensign in the Galactic Alliance Navy. He went through basic training and passed with an average score in just about everything except for piloting class which he received the top marks in his year for. This is also where he met his mentor and friend John Carter who was a Sergeant at the time Jericho joined and took a special interest in the boy. With his GAN salary he was able to make the monthly payments owed to the Exchange but his family was still living in poverty back on the lower levels of Coruscant. It was time to move up in the ranks and receive a higher pay grade.

Chapter 4: Honour Lost

In the next four years Jericho managed to rise to the rank of Corporal, in his third year of service, and was assigned to a squadron of Y-wing bombers. He had managed to pay off half the debt owed to the Exchange by giving part of what he earn to them and the rest to his mother. The navy covered his living expenses but he lived a simple life which earned him the nickname "Poorboy" by his peers. Jericho didn't mind being called that as he found happiness in knowing his family was safe and taken care off.

Tragedy seemed to plague the young man, though. On a mission in enemy territory Jericho was awarded the position of red squadron leader and rank of Sergeant. Most veteran members of the squadron had been killed in action during an operation earlier that week. This left Daybreaker as the most experienced pilot in his team. It was a routine mission: Bomb an Imperial ammunition depot on a Outer Rim planet. Jericho's squadron would have a fighter escort to help them breach the Empire's defences and provide support.

Jericho's friend and old mentor, John Carter, would be his wingman and leader of blue squadron's X-wings starfighters. Everything went as planned or at least it seemed to be but the Empire had gathered intelligence of the operation and was well prepared for the Alliance air strike. The two squadrons were annihilated by the Imperial's superior defences. Jericho made the order to retreat but it was too late. Most of his squadron had escorts had been shot down.

Only Daybreaker, Carter and two other X-wing pilots were left; Jericho's team was completely destroyed. In a desperate attempt to return to their cruisers the rest of the X-wing escorts were shot down including John's who died ensuring Jericho's escape. The young man was sent a court martial where he was put in front of a board and subject to a dishonourable discharge without pension. Jericho and his family was in trouble again and the Exchange would not tolerate missed payments.

Chapter 5: Soldier of Fortune

Jericho took it upon himself to take John Carter's belongings back to his family. John had not only saved the young man's life but he had always been there for the Daybreaker. It was the least Jericho could do. He was not welcomed with open arms, however, as word of his dishonourable discharge and John's death had reach the planet of Coruscant. The news were all over the story. With that came the fact that the Exchange now new Jericho was out of a job and his brother's life was yet again in peril.

A lieutenant in the GAN sympathised with the ex-sergeant as he knew that the GADF was using the young man as a scapegoat to cover up the fact that they failed to safeguard vital information. An holograph message from this lieutenant was delivered to Jericho about a week after the tragic incident. The message entailed that Daybreaker should go to the planet of Correlia where a group of mercenaries were short at hand and busy dealing with an endeavour for a trade cartel.

Not seeing anything better he could do he went to see the Exchange boss again and notified him of his plan which the boss surprisingly had no problem with. It would seem the leader of the crime syndicate had grown found of the Daybreaker boy and would allow him some slack. The man travelled to the Core planet of Corellia and tracked down the commander-in-chief of the mercenary group. It would seem he had come just in time to help the men of this group fend of an opposing faction.

Having proven himself in a battle already and after seeing his record the commander, Tom Grath, allowed him to join the band of merceneries as one of the lowest ranked members of the group. The job went smoothly after another few skirmishes with the opposition and Jericho managed to survive the experience unscathed which was more to say for some of the others.

Chapter 6: Field Veteran

For the next decade Jericho would travel the known galaxy with the merry band of guns for hire. He had finally paid of his brother's debt and his family was safe. Jericho had also risen in the ranks and became Tom's right hand man. The Daybreaker boy or now a thirty year old man was in charge of his own platoon of men which admired the veteran warrior's courage and commitment. With fame also came infamy, however. There were a few of the older veterans that did not like the man from Coruscant. They claimed that he was not deserving of his post or that they were more deserving that him.

It was the announcement that once commander Grath retires in a few years and Jericho being the prime candidate for the would-be vacant that drove these haters to the extreme. These men of war who had been risking their lives far longer than the new comer started plotting on how to get rid of him. The plan had worked far better than they had anticipated.

On a high paying contract for archaeologists who wanted to excavate a site in the Dark Lands on Kashyyyk the foolish men decided to spring their trap. It was dangerous on the surface of the Wookiee planet as even the behemoth beasts opted to stay high in their tree houses to escape the dangerous the lush planet provided. Even more dangerous was the Dark Lands where only the bravest Wookiees dared to walk and even these brave ones seldom went for a second trek into the deadly forest.

Although dangerous it was supposed to be an easy job. Once on site the mercenaries would set up shield generators that could keep the larger predators out. A defensive line would be help around the perimeter to take care of any of the smaller beast slipping post the primary defences and automated turrents set-up in tactical position. It would all go as planned. The clients would get to do their digging and the men would all go home safely. As long as the shields held up there would not be a problem.

Okay, with the exception of four missing chapters of history and a personality the CS is just about done.

Everyone who would like to deliver helpful critique can do so now from this post onward.
