Coruscant, the Queen of the Core. I can remember my first time there, it was so much different than anything I'd ever seen or even heard of for that matter. It was one giant City, constantly going, ever evolving, and never really quite the same. A planet that would kick you into the gutter and wouldn't stop until you were cold and lifeless; it was the first place that gave me a chance. I remember it like it was yesterday. Walking off that boarding platform after three days of being smuggled inside an empty Foodstuff bin was liberating, getting out of the starport was salvation.

Every face was different, not a one had a familiarity to it aside from species. The walk was cold, but the flashing lights and colors brought a warmth that only a visitor to the Universe's Center could welcome. It was the warmth of those flashing lights that brought me somewhere I never thought I'd find myself: the Uscru Entertainment District. The Outlander Club to be more specific. I never was one for socializing, a trait not often carried by the nomadic lifestyle. Yet, it was my xenophobic nature that landed me my first job: an informant for the Syndicate.

Seven months I spent on that metropolis world, and not a day went wasted. I spent my time learning from the best pick-pockets, splicers, smugglers, and cut-throats money could buy. All the while feeding any information I could find from other organization, the Republic, and even the Empire to the bosses. I never wanted to be part of their crew, but I guess they had made me part of it. I'd earned their trust, and with it came opportunity: a first-class ride to Corellia.

I don't know if you've ever been to any of the Five Brothers, but the Eldest is surely the most luxurious. When I first arrived a member had passed, not just any member, but the bosses son. Corellians had this urge to.. beat the odds, and safe to say, he didn't win. Anyways, the Boss took the kid and had him cremated, they have a tradition of turning that ash into diamonds, and that's just what he did. So it turned out Firyun, the boss's kid, was supposed to race in this upcoming race; the Agrilat Swamp Circuit. Only a few guys had ever touched a swoop before, so I took my chance and found my first passion.

Most haven't heard of it, but a few have.. especially the Corellians. The Agrilat Inferno. I'm not really sure how it happened, or why, but it did. Final lap of the circuit there was a malfunction in the leading pack. I caught a glimpse of it, but not enough to see what really happened. Eight racers went up in smoke all in a matter of seconds.. over half the field was taken out in a fireball. I didn't finish first, or even second; I don't think I was expected to even finish.. Hell I even had my doubts. But to make the podium, third place, despite the situation was a shock. That was the first night I ever tasted Whyren's Reserve, and that I'll never forget.

My work and my profession was much different than it had been on Coruscant. With so much tradition, culture, and wealth around, the need to gather information was put on those that could get in with the proper connections. Word didn't travel as freely and quickly I was accustomed to. However, the work that was needed to attain such knowledge was that final piece I needed to become what I am today. My position had shifted to smuggling giggledust off planet to the Zeltron homeworld of Zeltros. Giggledust had become a lucrative business on Zeltros, the planet took in a full cargohold of the spice and I had to return every 6 days. The Syndicate had almost every major Government entity bought off which made for carefree runs; it was easy money.

I remember getting lost in my thoughts during those hyperspace routes. If I stared too long at the stars I'd find myself drifting off, but one trip something was different. I was nearly to Zeltros, a few thousand kilometer outside Ambria, when a distress signal woke me from a nap. I stared at the blinking red light for longer than I should of. Normally I wouldn't pay attention to the thing, being from a business where stealing was our primary means of credits I knew the risk 'helping.' This signal was different though, it had a unique transponder code connected it.. Alliance, Jedi.

Exiting hyperspace, I remember having a bad gut feeling, something didn't seem right once I took control of the ship. Everything was starting to feel foreign to me, foreign and cold. As I approached the scene everything began to fall into place, my eyes looked over the Jedi Starship floating dark without life. Near it was a lowly lit Lambda class shuttle, the interior lights flickering with life to no particular pattern. Emergency bulbs would light up along the sides of craft as the shuttle maneuvered in hopes of docking with me. I gave the Jedi craft one more look before accepting the procedure from the Empire shuttle; the boarding ramps maneuvering into place.

I remember the gears grinding for longer than I thought they should have. When they finally locked into place the only sound that filled the ship was the hissing of the two pressurizing to one another. Then it happened, the doors slid open and I was met with the last thing I wanted; a squadron of the Empire's finest who quickly went to work on taking my ship. At first I thought it was a sting, but when the first one in didn't say a word about the giggledust and instead cracked me in the jaw with the butt of his weapon; I knew it was more.

I came to in my own medical bay on the starship. I couldn't feel my face below the nostrils, it just burned with pain. I tried to speak, but nothing would come out. I could hear them speaking, but I couldn't make sense to anything they said. I don't remember much after that, I kept coming and and out of consciousness. I do recall there being a woman, after her I don't remember much at all..

They cut me loose not long after bashing my face in. Luckily I got my ship back, but they took it all.. They said they couldn't allow such a quantity of product to reach the streets, and said I was lucky to even be free. I guess the only reason I'm a free man is because I saved them from whatever poodoo they got themselves into out there. I can't return to the Syndicate anytime soon as I owe them a certain amount of giggledust, or an equal value in credits or something else. I hear the Empire plans to sack Coruscant, and that the attacks have all but begun. This might be my chance to find a new start, find a new beginning.

Uuuuuu I like this guy. Good start for him, BIG DEBT, and a crime syndicate on his tail. All the ingredients for a good story. Gotta love the Indies.

You're more than welcome good sir. Although the current thread doesn't seem like it'll work out we'll have some sort of local event on Corellia after the battle of Coruscant. ;D

Love the art btw!
