BIOGRAPHY
Jowtobuck has very fond memories of his early life on Kashyyyk. Born after the battle of Endor, he grew up in the early renaissance in the after of the end of the Empire and his life was ideal in his tree city home until one fateful night.
Due to deweaponsation of the New Republic after the fall of the Empire, slave raids began to become more common on Kashyyyk. With fewer ships and pilots, those tasked to protect Kashyyyk were being stretched far beyond their means and the Hutts and other criminal organizations resumed their unsavory hunts. In one of the summer months of 19 BBY Jowtobucks village was subjected to one such raid, a bloody and brutal affair he remembers little of. His first foggy memory after the raid is of him chained down to a bulkhead in the belly of a Trandoshan freighter.
His adolescent, and next several years were what Jowtobuck refers to as the "dark times". Between the slave pens, training, beatings and shockboxing pits of Bastatha he suffered and bled for the entertainment of the spice fueled crowds. His actions controlled through a slave collar that became his constant and unwanted companion. But this was not to be his life, his salvation came in the from of an unlikely savior, the last princess of Alderaan. During her mission to Bastatha she discovered the criminal action of Rinnrivin Di and his Cartel.
Freed during a subsequent raid by Bastatha security forces he was eventually returned home only to find his world in peril due to the rise of the First Order. While trying to integrate back into Rwook society he soon found he was changed, overly aggressive even for a wookiee and unable to find his place. Searching for a means to channel his rage and put it to use to help his people a chance meeting with the famous war hero Chewbacca helped him find his purpose and way to the resistance.
Working his way up the ranks he served as resistance shocktrooper fighting in many campaigns including the battle of Exogal. With the fall of the First Order he served his remaining time as a senior marine aboard a Free Virgillia-Class Bunker Buster before retiring back to Kashyyyk in 51 ABY to find a mate and start a family. Enlisting in the home guard he retired to a simpler existence and that is where he stayed till he received a holo from his old Resistance Captain.
Personality
Spending his adolescent as a slave has left his psyche broken in a way. Not something you could put your finger on he just seemed a little off. Jokes are not as funny to him, sadness does not seem to affect him as much as it should either. He just seems separated from his emotions sometimes and unable to connect with folks easily. Those who he calls friends he is fiery loyal to, those who would hurt his friends are nothing to him but corpses still breathing and needing to be cured of that ailment.A fan of good drink and food you will find him at a party drinking in a corner and drawn to others who seem sad or scared and could use his company or a kind word. On the battlefield a switch flips and the best term to describe him is that of a berserker. Moving with inhuman speed and strength leaving nothing behind him but death.
Skills
Jowtobuck is a natural brawler from his years as a shock-boxing slave. Combine that with his wookiee lineage, Resistance shock trooper training and years of service both planetside and as a marine in space he is a brutal front line warrior. No matter if you need a man to lead a charge of an enemy bunker or a stalwart warrior to hold a corridor from a band of pirates Jowtobuck lives for combat and will blast, rip, bash and tear apart any enemies before him. A master with a bowcaster or a pair of shock-boxing gloves he is the sheer definition of what you would expect a wookiee soldier to be. From his time back on Kashyyyk he had become a skilled hunter and survivalist, often taking time to hunt in the shadowlands for months at a time to hone his skills.
Force Powers
Most everyone has some connection to the force and Jowtobuck is no exception. While the force is with him it is not strong by any means. More Jowtobuck's connection serves to enhance his natural abilities. He had developmented a danger sense and understand of shot angles allowing him the ability to dodge and move like a man half his size. He also has an empathy which allows him to commune with nature, understand with sentient and semi sentient creatures and affect the growth of planets to a minor level.
