He was confused under his helmet. She was expecting payment but would still give him the book? "Well you have the book. I thought you were a payment first kind of person." He shrugged, following her towards the ship. "I doubt they would try to eat metal so it would be safe to assume they wouldn't." He tapped his wrist gauntlet causing the ship to open. "Ladies first."

As they walked in she would quickly notice an egg with a similar hue to her eyes. He sat down next to it placing a hand on it. He could feel the hum of the egg signifying its still alive. "So what does the book say?" He turned to her as he used his gauntlet to close the ship hatch. Patting a seat next to her offering her to come sit.

Just as expected, he had no objections with entering his ship, and Maeve couldn't deny it was much easier to focus and keep a cool mind inside. She walked in first and said, "I am. But I can stay a little longer and help you figure this out first before you add the payment for the two times I've saved you".

She threw him a smirk and inhaled deeply before she took a seat on the other side of the egg, crossed her legs elegantly and started scrolling through some pages. "There's just a little bit of Basic in here...it's mostly a language I've never seen before and illustration", she explained, briefly looking back up to him.

She set the book down for a moment and leaned towards the egg, softly pressing the side of her face against it. The vibrant colors and the vivacious hum were a testament to how alive it was, but she slowly realized that hatching it probably wasn't that easy. "Have you kept it warm?", she mused, wondering whether heat was a general helpful factor.

As she drew her phone for a translator, she quickly checked what the black market had to offer for such an exotic finding. "So you're sure you prefer hatching over just trading it for something you'll definitely be able to use?", she asked again before she began scanning some pages.

Two times she saved him? His mind retraced the actions inside the building. "You're counting unfurling me from the beast as saving me?" He didn't seemed annoyed or upset more surprised as he asked it. Mostly illustration and a foreign language, he began scratching the top of his helmet. "Might be the native language of Onderon as that's where the people who came here were from." When he took his hand off the egg it left a bloody print on it.

Did he keep it warm? Well it's not like he's taken to Hoth or anywhere like that. "It hasn't been anywhere cold if that's the point but if your asking if I've sat on it like it's my child no." He said looking at the egg, his gaze rising to her as he watched her scroll through her phone. "Well if I'm able to tame it there's no point in trading the egg. Plus it will more than likely be given to some form of arena and forced to fight till it died. I'd rather just attempt to tame it and fail than leave it to that kind of fate."

He leaned over examining the pages as she flipped through them. "Wait, that last page go back to it." The page in question had two illustrations. One was showing a single rider on the Drexl with writing in the currently unknown language. The other seemed to be a team of three riding it into a battle of some kind. "So it can be ridden by a single rider." He mused aloud, his tone full of conviction now.

His immediate reply drew a chukle from her and she quickly rolled her eyes before she added, "No, you do know that I've also shot those beasts while you have tried to cuddle them". He had gotten surprised twice and she had saved his ass twice, not just with the removal of the monsters. So her point still stood.

As for the language, her phone translator soon eagerly began translating, but the sentences it spit out weren't all that great. She let out a little sigh before he began mocking her. "You shouldn't sit on it, but keep it warm. Like fuzzy warm, underneath an infrared light or whatever...maybe it works like a usual egg". She wasn't overly optimistic about that, but it was worth a try.

"Waaait. You're serious about this 'how to tame your pet dragon' idea?", she shot him in incredulous look until she was certain he meant it. "Oh well...what if it eats you?". Maeve saw no point in it. Perhaps he was a little mad, perhaps he had hit his head earlier, but she still saw way more worth in just selling it.

While she tried to decipher the language, she quickly got sidetracked by the print his hand left as that was rather fancy indeed. "Okay, so what about finding an expert for this then? There has to be someone who dealt with such an egg before". He then stopped her where she was and she checked on the prior page again, raising a brow.

"But why are there three of them? This just seems like fairy tale stuff. What if that's nothing but a legend?". She simply didn't buy it. Yes, there were beasts roaming the galaxy, but what were the chances of him finding an egg, raising and taming an apperent war beast? "Where did you even find it?", she finally wanted to know as she met his gaze again. "And why are you not losing that helmet? I hate talking to a visor".

Though she was throwing serious allegations at him being in the ship relaxed him a bit. "It's not my fault I'm so cuddly." He quickly retorted back at her. Though she couldn't see he was definitely embarrassed and his face was flush. His helmet was being a godsend right now as she teased him.

He listened as she lectured him on being a smartass about keeping it warm. "Fuzzy warm huh? So should I wrap with a blanket and sing it lullaby's?" He couldn't help but chuckle as he finished his question. He didn't know anything about hatching an egg. He barely knew how to tame a normal animal.

She looked at him incredulously as she questioned if seriously wanted to tame it. "Yes, I'm serious about taming it. Well than I guess I would've made the wrong decision if I get eaten." He stated matter of factly. He couldn't figure out why she was against him taming the animal so much. "If you want we can go hunt for a cub of our guests from earlier and I can try my hand at taming that instead." Shrugging his shoulders while actually considering it for a moment. "The only experts are dealing with the problems on Onderon right now. I doubt I'll get any help from them at the moment."

He just stared at the pages as she rambled on about it being a legend. Something about the one with an individual rider seemed off or different. She then voiced a complaint about his helmet and questioned how he got the egg. So he took off his helmet and gazed at her, "I found the egg on a mission to hunt a Drexl. The eggs were left behind so I took one for myself along with the payment for the job. Also what's wrong with my helmet being on?

"What do you mean not your fault...whose is it then? Mine?" She asked for a clarification, cocking her head with a smirk on her lips. Was he hinting at their last encounter and thus blaming it on her? She once again chuckled, before he suddenly slipped right into full blown sarcasm.

"Wooow, okay Commander Buckethelm, I won't say anything anymore", she let out a scoff and feigned a dramatic eye roll. It was a side of him she didn't know yet and she found it gravely amusing, yet she was growing slightly frustrated with not making any progress and him insisting on his idea.

She then crossed her arms and intently studied him as he continued with just more sarcasm. "I will not save you from those cubs", she teased, "So good luck. Just saying that today doesn't seem to be your day", she was hinting at his bad luck in the tower they had climbed. The thing about the experts was also unlucky, as this meant that they were literally stuck, so she let out a sigh.

"Where does that sudden feistiness come from? I like it", she couldn't help but to remain teasingly in the end as she went over to him and slid into his lap. There wasn't much the book apperently told them about hatching, and she didn't believe in it anyway, but she stuck with her plan:"I'd say keep it warm for a bit...under infra-red or whatever. It will not harm. But I doubt we'll magically get it open today", she gave him a smirk while her fingers softly grazed along his scars.

The Mandalorians gaze snapped to her as she returned his teasing. "Maybe it is. I've never been considered the cuddling type till recently." He then scoffed at her next comment. Buckethelm? That was a new one for him. "Buckethelm? Did I get a promotion or something to no longer be Buckethead?" Seeming to inspect himself for a new insignia or something. Chuckling after doing so for a little bit.

He looked at her with a shocked expression. "You wouldn't save me? I thought we made a good team and now I'm being abandoned. Your day was just as bad except not getting the kitty cuddles." His voice was playfully pouty although the day did leave a bad taste in his mouth. Though the prospect of having a guard dog of sorts did sound rather intriguing.

He was drawn from his thoughts when she slid into his lap. His hands instinctively grabbing her legs. "I guess if it won't hurt I might as well try it. I didn't want to hatch it today but I got info on it now all I need is to get the book translated. Thank you for coming when you didn't have to." He smirked a bit as she begun tracing his scars. Looking into her eyes, "You want to know their story?"

She held his gaze when he blamed in all on her, a smirk tugging at her lips. Of course it was her fault. It had been intentional, now he seemed different in her proximity and she reveled in holding the strings in her hands. Could she make him squirm again so easily, too? The thought intrigued her, but she reminded herself of not getting too carried away.

"If you deliberately get back out there, no. Then you're just suicidal", she shrugged vaguely, however still with mischief in her eyes. Truth was,mshe really didn't plan on getting back out there, but he wasn't going to do it anyway, she assumed. "You're moving up the ranks, yep". She then playfully petted his shoulder, before she leaned back a little.

As she couldn't deal with sentimental, she solely replied, "of course", as she thanked her, even though it wasn't so natural for her at all. It had been the payment and her curiosity, but now it seemed like they weren't making any progress and that usually got her bored easily. She was happy about the Mandalorian ally, knowing she'd need it in the future.

"And we didn't even got eaten by wild jungle beasts", she added with a hint of sarcasm before she exhaled calmly. Her fingers stopped tracing and she let them linger on the side of his neck instead. "Absolutely", she then replied, as curious to gather information on everyone around her as always.

He simply listened to her concerns as she went over him going out there. "Well I'm not suicidal so I guess I'm staying here. I've moved up the ranks you say? How long till I get a higher post." She petted his shoulders and leaning back. She replied dryly to his apology. She must not have gotten used to it oh well.

Well she had a point there. "Well you have a point there I guess." As she agreed to hear the story of his scars. He grabbed her hand and traced one of his scars. "This one I got on Mandalore while I was training my swordsmanship. I was going through my basic movements, when a Galaar swooped down and attacked me as I was helmetless. I was lucky I kept my eye afterwards."

Moving her hand to another scar on his face, "This one I got while training with my adopted father. I missed a block and his wrist blade caught me and opened cheek." He moved her hand to the last scar on his forehead. "This was from my first solo hunt. I was after a Rattaki Wolf and it caught me off guard. One of its claws went through my helmet and sliced open my forehead." He would then return her hand where it was. "I have a few more but those are harder to access."

"I don't know...guess I'll see about that. I'm watching you closely", she replied more seriously, as if actually trying to make a point, but she was chucking soon after. At least he was finally conceding about going out there again, but as he reached for hand, she suddenly flinched.

She intently listened to his stories and one by one learned the story behind his scars. His life was surely something, but she wouldn't share the stories behind her scars. "You seem to have shit luck with beasts...seems like they do love to be quite close to you", she remarked, a soft smirk crossing her lips.

She had seen the rest, too when her eyes had roamed his naked body, but she didn't doubt some had interesting stories to them, too. In the end, she learned a lot about him and that counted for sure. "So after all those terrible beast encounters, you plan on becoming a dragon rider? Perhaps I should not leave you alone with the egg...".

She couldn't help but wonder whether the egg would find buyers who'd be really interested in them, or just the regular collectors of either exotic animals or trinkets. Her mind then, however, soon drifted off and she shamelessly leaned into him, letting her lips softly graze his neck as she planted a few kisses against them. "I might have to leave soon...do you want to remember your time here more positively?", she breathed against him before she withdrew her head a little. Perhaps the egg wasn't the best choice...

He gave her a stern look after her statement. "Aye, aye captain." He grinned as she began chuckling. He noticed her flinch as he grabbed her but she seemed to relax as he lead he hand along his scars and gave their stories. "Well after having all the bad encounters is it so bad to want a good one? That's up to you on if you want to leave or stay I'm not going to force you." Though he said that his eyes definitely were asking her to stay.

She then began kissing him. As she asked her question and went to pull away Rath pulled her back in and begun kissing her back. "Does that answer your question?" He than pulled her back in and continued kissing her. He than pulled back again, "Well do you want to remember this trip more fondly?"

"Of course I want to have a good one", she replied with a smirk, her expressions softening. Her nerves had been on edge enough, now she wanted something to soothe her. Of course he wasn't going to make her stay, but she had offered.

She immediately noticed that John was definitely more assertive this time. Still a pretty tame kitten, yet he had seemingly began to taste joy. "Oh look at you...I like it", she remarked with a wide smirk before she pulled him back to her, however holding onto the cold beskar.

"Let's move this some place else", she said to him as she slid off his lap and grabbed his hand, leading him into the kitchen area of his ship. "Let's make some more long-lasting memories...but therefore, you might have to loose a thing or too". She cheekily added, nodding to his armor.

Rathe rolled his eyes are her flipping his words. Yet he couldn’t deny his agreeance with her. Although he wasn’t going to make her stay he didn’t want to have her leave.

Luckily for Rath looking up how to ride yielded more than just results for beasts. He was able to gain some useful research and insight on areas he lacked knowledge in. Her voicing that she was liking his knew found confidence and giving him a sign his research had yielded some results he was happy.

She then ended the kissing by pulling away and taking him into the kitchen area. She stated the want to make memories and made mention he was still over dressed for the occasion. As they entered the kitchen his chest piece was already hitting the floor. His side wound was now visible but the Mandalorian paid it no mind. It was followed shortly by his leg and arm armor although unlike the first time he had shorts under his leg armor.

As they got into the kitchen he lifted her up onto the counter. “You want to make some memories huh? Well then I’ll make sure to do that.” He would then lean in for a kiss, this one more passionate than the last few. It would be obvious to Kate he was definitely more into his element now even if it’s just a change of confidence.

Maeve could already see it in his gaze. He was no longer the deer in the headlights, he was the shark that had tasted blood and was now smelling it again. She didn't toy with him, all she literally wanted was to see whether he had learned something.

He followed without hesitation and eagerly undressed and Maeve's mind was busy the whole time. Every piece of armor he shed was worth a fortunate. She struggled hard to stay focused on him instead of the free loot on the ground, countless scenarios running through her mind...

But she knew that even if it would be easy game, it didn't make sense. She was building something with the Mandalorian and inflicting mistrust wasn't worth it at all. She had her payment, now she'd catch in something different, too, and this time he didn't leave all the work to her it seemed.

Her lips curled into a smirk as he effortlessly lifted her onto the counter and started kissing her. Her one hand dug into his hair while the other slowly wandered to the shorts he was still wearing. "Did you miss me?", she couldn't help but to teasingly whispered between kisses while she freed him of his shorts.

Rath would normally try to keep himself in check but his accomplice seemed to always take away his reasoning. Did he miss her? The thought never crossed his mind as he always focused on his mission. "I wouldn't go that far, but not being crippled is going to be a pleasant change." He suddenly felt his shorts drop leaving him only in his boxers.

"Well whose over dressed now?" He playfully said as he begun rolling up her shirt. He couldn't allow her to be fully in control this time. After all now he was mostly in good health. Plus he had learned some stuff inadvertently from researching various topics and looking to far for his answer. He planned on using his newfound knowledge today, mostly because it was his first opportunity to do so.

Once again the thoughts crossed her mind: What if...no. She couldn't. She had finally reached a point in her life where she wanted genuine business expansions and didn't just stick to excuses to sleep with them just to con them for a few credits. This one she had to keep close, after all, they worked pretty well together and the payment had never been less than decent.

"Ouch...you're ice cold", she amusedly teased back, however feigning hurt. It wasn't hard to tell he wanted her and that was insurance enough still. "Well, help me then", she softly added, but he was already at it and wasted no time before freeing her of her top as well.

He was indeed not just more confident, but this time he was neither frozen nor didn't he know where to even put his hands. She let him continue and helped with the pants too, however deciding to stay right where she was. The counter was spacious enough plus he'd have to be the active part this time which allowed her to lean back and enjoy the show.

Though Rath's initial thoughts as he stripped her down to her underwear was to go all in he stopped himself. He wanted to take his time, and make sure she enjoyed it. He knows he didn't do the best the first time so now he had to rectify it. His mind played through different things he saw and read eventually he decided on one.

He pulled her close and started kissing her again. His lips slowly wandering and making their way to her neck. He then slowly made his way down her body. Occasionally playfully nibbling on her skin. Before he got to her panties he made his way back up before returning to her lips. He had read that keeping the suspense was paramount to this mission.

Maeve was literally leaning back and enjoying the show he gave her. This time it wasn't her guiding him here, showing him and taking full control, but bit by bit he seemed to learn and admittedly, it wasn't half bad. She doubted he had gone for field experience and so somehow she couldn't shake the feeling he had done his research elsewhere and so every now and then a smirk tugged at her lips.

He began teasing her and didn't budge into the direction of going all in yet, but while Maeve often enjoyed a good tease, it depended on certain situations and right now, she wasn't really patient enough. She played along, but as he reached her lips again, she grabbed him and held him closer while her hands slipped down into his pants shorthandedly, thus taking over control again as his body would betray him already.

Rath was feeling good as this time he didn't feel like he was being used but that it was somewhat mutual. It seemed he was doing everything right. Then again he still lacked real world experience so he couldn't be sure. He was still going to try and follow his plan. Although so far anything involving her rarely went to plan. As he reached her lips again she pulled him even closer. Her hands diving into his pants.

Rath let out a moan at the sudden attack before he regained his composure. Grabbing her wrists and pulling them out and holding them in-between the two. If he allowed her anymore time he would've had another episode of brain rebooting. His face was flushed red and his voice was slightly shaky. "That was sudden. I thought it was good to take your time?" His eyes lost their confidence and returned to looking like prey being stalked.

Despite his initial confidence, his determination seemed to wan over time. He reached for her wrists and tried securing them, yet as she glanced over her shoulder what she found was a smiling expression as last time. The shy deer was back and while she was smirking on the outside, she let out a sigh on the inside.

Her gaze flicked down to where he was holding her and for a moment she didn't move as she held his gaze. Then, all of a sudden she'd flick her wrists against his thumb, the weak spots in such grips, and pulled them out of his grasp. While her eyes were fiercely locked onto his, she couldn't deny her mood had changed, yet his reply was just right.

"How very true", she softly whispered as she gently reached for his cheek and let it graze along the side of his face before it reached the chin. "Haste spoils the pleasure", and so did routine, so she squeezed herself past him and started getting dressed. "That's why we should let this linger...". She gestured between the two as if pointed towards his still ignited lust. She knew he wanted her, but today he wouldn't get her.
