Just a tiny withdrawal

Just a tiny withdrawal, that's all Lucius wanted from Mygeeto's Planetary Bank. Everyone knew that what was in the vault was only a fraction of their actual wealth, so all Lucius was going to do was make a tiny withdrawal, but of course he couldn't make that withdrawal without a little help from a partner in crime. That's where Adara Corentine came in, she was another gun for hire that decided to join Lucius in his little scheme. According to her record, she was a hard earned criminal who was used to cracking some necks and 'borrowing' cash from unwilling supporters. This fact made her perfect for the job, but that didn't exactly make up for her lateness. She was supposed to meet up with the famed Bounty Hunter at a homely restaurant across the street from the bank, so that they could discuss the heist. Of course, Lucius made sure to be wearing civilian dress, in order to avoid unwanted attention. He was also lightly armed, only carrying his slicewire, since for one the metal detectors would detect anything else and two he doubt he would need anything else.

'I got stuck in traffic' had to be the lamest excuse for tardiness there was. So it was a good thing that wasn't what happened. However the little old apologetic lady she had run into seemed like an even stupider excuse to use. So she just kept quiet when she sat across from Lucius Veshok. She had heard of him from...someone. It didn't matter who. What mattered was what they were about to do. She was already feeling the light buzz she always got before a job. Half the things people said she had done weren't true. Sure she'd been around the block once or twice but that feeling still got her. She loved that feeling.

As she looked across the table at her temporary partner in crime, she did the eyebrow raise that Val... somebody used to say made her look like the other party instead of her was the one at fault. 'Well?"

She noticed in passing that he too was in civilian clothing. She was glad she had saved a few articles she used to be forced into to be seen by the press. They weren't pleasant to wear but they worked and these were more practical that some of the other things. Unfortunately she couldn't even bring a knife into the blasted restaurant. That didn't mean however she wasn't unarmed.

Lucius scoffed at Adara's attempt to make him feel guilty, he had been through too much shit to fall for that, but still it was a good attempt and he gave her credit for that. Meanwhile, he pulled out a datapad from one of his side pockets and slid it across the table with a ring placed on top of it. "We just go married, hun." he said with a smile, one that truly portrayed that of an excited husband. "And we are about to make a security deposit. Take a look at the datapad" he continued, before shutting up so that the woman could look over the datapad. On the datapad she would find the blueprint of the bank, alongside a list of objectives that they were to complete in order to make a successful heist. They were, as follows:

I. Enter the bank as a married couple and ask to open a security account.
II. Follow the Bank Manager into the vault.
III. Once at the vault, dispose of the manager quietly and then proceed to fill up bags, already located in the vault, with credits and other valuables.
IV. Find the Security Room, dispose of any guards found (quietly and quickly), and destroy any and all security footage.
V. Use one of the following Escape plans: a) Wait for Lucius' droid to make a hole in the wall. b) Make your way to the roof and wait for Lucius' ship. c) Use the vents and flee through the streets.

After enough time had passed, Lucius looked at his new wife and smirked "You ready honey?"

Adara looked carefully over the data pad,focusing mostly on the blueprints taking note of where certain rooms were and how to get to them. The objectives were fairly self explanatory, though the last one raised a mental flag. She didn't bother to ask about which option they'd be using, guessing that it would be whichever was most convenient at the time. She didn't want to know how the bags were already in the safe. Looking up from the data pad with her most convincing and hopefully excited smile, she slipped the ring on her finger. "Ready when you are, darling"

Lucius looked at the woman as she nodded at him and confirmed that she was ready, in return he simply smirked and arose from his seated position, offering his hand out to his "wife". All the while he was hoping to the Force that she was good on her acting, because if they were to pass security and convince the manager that they were married, she would have to be. With that thought in mind, he respectfully led Adara across the street and into the bank, stopping only for a second to absorb the sight that was bestowed upon him. They deserved to be robbed, he thought, as he took in the sight of imported wayland marble tiles and columns, as well as laroon wood furniture, this place was truly a place of riches and wealth, but that wasn't necessarily a good thing. It also meant that the bank would probably have intense security, which was made apparent as Lucius proceeded through the bank, Adara in hand. There were security check points throughout the entrance, and guards in suits were a common site throughout the rest of the bank. Thus it did not take long for Lucius and Adara to reach one of these check points, where advanced sensors and guards were awaiting them. All this security would have been a reassuring thing if they were there for legal reasons, but in truth it was a burglar's nightmare.

Still, Lucius showed no signs of dismay or worry as they approached closer to the checkpoint, and hopefully neither would Adara. "Right this way, sir and ma'am" said one of the guard's politely as he motioned towards one of the sensors. Lucius simply nodded and smiled in response, letting go of Adara's hand gently as he walked through the sensors. He was worried there might be a problem right then and there, since, well, he's a cyborg which basically means he's made of metal and the fact that he had integrated vibroblades didn't help. It could have been the end right there, they would have been dead within seconds, so Lucius waited patiently. One second, two seconds, passed, no incident. "Continue on, sir" the guard said, this time motioning to the rest of the bank. Lucius smiled and politely shook his head "Thank you, good sir, but I'd rather wait for my wife before continuing on." he said with respect, as he stood waiting for Adara.

Adara smiled as she grasped Lucius' hand as they walked into the bank. The interior was as glorious as the exterior but it was all rather familiar to her. Her smile was pretty close to genuine as she focused on the euphoric feeling that still lingered. She waited behind as her "husband" walked through the censored. She held her breath as she glanced quickly about at the security measures. She then smiled at her "husband" as she picked up what he said and walked through the scanner unworried as she could list exactly what she had on her person and none of it would set off a scanner. She soon after joined Lucius and took his hand again. She knew she could keep up a facade but acting a part was a whole different ballgame.

As soon as Adara touched Lucius' hand, he pulled her towards him and gave her a small, quick kiss on the lips. If they were to play the part of a married couple, they'd have to sell it and he could tell that she was not a very good sales clerk. Still, he did hope she went along with the pitch, even if she did not add to it. Once the kiss was done, Lucius made his way through the bank, looking for the bank clerk so that he could set up a meeting with the manager. Luckily, thanks to the blueprints he had studied, it did not take long for him to find his way to the clerk. "Yes, sir?" said a sweet, young twi'lek behind a frame of bullet proof plexiglass, as she played with her lekkus. "Hello, me and my wife would like to set up a security account, if that's alright" Lucius replied, holding Adara's hand lightly, and smiling all the while. "That'd be fine sir, if you have 100,000 credits as an initial deposit." came the quick reply from the other side of the glass. Lucius glanced at Adara, but instead of showing a face of worry due to the absurd amount of credits required for the initial deposit, he simply smiled as if nothing was wrong and everything was perfect, but it was also meant to reassure his wife that everything will be fine. "Alright, that's fine." he replied, the twi'lek simply smiled and nodded "Then please have a seat, the manager will be right with you."

With that said, Lucius nodded and took his wife to sit down at the waiting room. Guards were everywhere, wearing black suits and armed with heavy blaster pistols, it was clear that if an alarm was sounded that the pair would be relatively screwed, so Lucius had to make sure everything was going as planned. He turned to face his wife, holding her hand in his still, since camera's were surely around. "Everything alright, honey?" he asked in a concerned voice, it was a mystery whether his concern was real or faked, or whether any of it was part of an act for that matter, he had years of being a thief to thank for that.

It was hard to say whether or not she particularly enjoyed that. She was slightly distracted not that she would admit that. She had been to quite a few banks in her time but none had so many security measures. She had to wonder if they had been targeted before. As they sat down she came out of her little musings. Focus. Don't make a fool out of yourself. You don't make mistakes like that. It gets you killed. Don't show weaknesses
She smiled sweetly, "Oh nothing,sweetie. I'm just not comfortable with all these guards around. I'm not used to it."
If there was something Adara could do it was lie through her teeth and get a point across.

Lucius smirked to her reply and squeezed her hand a little, reassuringly "We'll be fine, love" he said. With that said came a rather taller than usual Muun, adorned in jewels and other expensive wares. One could quickly tell that this particular Muun was rather rich, even when compared to the rest of Mygeeto. "Ah! The couple, yes, yes. Mr. & Mrs...?" the Muun said in a rather nasally voice that was common of their kind. "Harmon, it's Harmon, my good sir." Lucius said quickly, without missing a beat, as he rose from his seat and shook the Muun's hand. "Ah, ok, Mr. Harmon. I understand that you want to open a security deposit." the Muun said, politely correcting Lucius while giving a mean glare at the clerk who had just attended the couple for letting the mistake go unnoticed. "Yes, that's right." the bounty hunter replied, keeping as respectful and polite as possible, all the while holding Adara's hand in a caring manner. "Ah, ok. Well you can just hand me the money and I'll take care of the rest" said the Muun, chuckling as he held out his grubby long hands. Lucius shook his head "No, no. I'd rather see the vault for myself to make sure that my money is safe." The Muun simply laughed "Can't you tell..." he started saying, before being cut off by Lucius "I want to see the vault." Lucius' insistence caused the Muun to scoff, but still he gave in and nodded, leading the way down to the vault.

Lucius smiled at Adara and squeezed her hand as the Muun turned away, things were going as planned. He then proceeded to follow the bank manager, Adara in tow, down into the vault. It did not take as long as he thought it would for them to reach it, however. "If you would mind." said the Muun as soon as he reached the vault door, motioning for the couple to look away. Of course, not wanting to cause problems, Lucius complied and looked away as the Muun proceeded to put in the code for the vault and opened the door. "Well, as you can see, it will be safe. Can I have the money now?" said the Muun, clearly annoyed by now, since he had plenty of other deals to make and couldn't be held up by this one. Lucius simply looked at Adara, and waited for her to make the first move.

Adara raked her eyes over the Muun manager with well hidden disgust. She stood and walked in perfect tandem with Lucius, to anyone else a perfect loving wife. She seemed to always be looking at him, head over heels and perfectly content to let him take care of her. That was her goal to have them think that. She was really watching the Muun closely; he annoyed her for some reason and she wanted to take him out as soon as possible. She was silent because she was plotting. She needed to time it just right...

She saw Lucius looking at her and took that as her cue, Well you see, sir, she sidestepped so she was behind him and to the left. In one fluid movement, despite the obvious height difference, she had swept out his feet and pushed him to the floor which to her displeasure had made a solid thump which she hoped wasn't loud enough to be heard down the halls. She knelt on his back and grabbed him in a head lock, covering his mouth, "We don't have the money yet." She proceeded to snap his neck efficiently and quietly.
She checked to be sure he was dead, just so they could ensure he wouldn't catch them off guard later on, then stood. "Well, darling, let's make a little withdrawal. She stepped into the vault and looked around as she waited for Lucius to join her.

Lucius grinned, he thought that she had handled herself quite well and he was obviously impressed. Still, they had to get the credits and get out quickly, so he followed her into the vault, but that didn't mean he couldn't have a little fun. He pulled her close to him and kissed her, this time with a bit more passion than before, but not to serious. After he was done, he pulled back and smiled "You know, for good luck" he said with a grind plastered on his face as he began clearing out the vault of credits, using the duffel bags already located inside. Once he had filled three bags to the top, he picked them up and set them outside, coming back to assist Adara with her share. As soon as that was done, he looked at Adara "We ready for the fourth stage?"

 

[YOLT]

Adara only allowed herself to be stunned for a moment before she began filling the bags. When they were finished she cracked her back,straightened and dumped her three outside by the others, "Yeah, sure. Do I want/need to know how the bags got in here or is it better that I not know?"

 

[Lupe]

Lucius smirked "They were because there was supposed to be a move of some of the credits today. I plan things out, give me some credit" he said with a chuckle to emphasize that he was joking about the last part. "Okay, get the bags set up next to the wall then follow me." he said, motioning to the far wall that stood between them and freedom, he would have to alert ED to cut down the wall right on time so that no one will find a big huge open hole and alert the guards. Once she moved the duffle bags, Lucius made his way towards the security room, reaching the door, but before he could even touch the handle something really bad happened, the alarms went off. Almost immediately, two guards burst out of the security room, almost pushing Lucius down. Luckily, he was able to stay up and use his vibroblades to stab both guards in the stomach, killing them immediately. He then looked at Adara "Get to the wall, I'll meet you there. Make sure that none of the guards get close to the evac" he ordered, there were going to be no ifs, ands, or buts. Meanwhile, he went into the security room and grabbed a shotgun for her, tossing it to her, and grabbing a pistol for himself, as he deleted all the security footage of the bank.

She made quick work of the bags. Well she wasn't that strong so she just pushed the things up against the wall. The last one was in place just as the alarms went off. She cursed beneath her breath as the guards showed up. She stationed herself in just the right spot so she could take the guards out as the came down the corridor. She felt much more confident once she had the shotgun in her hands. "Thanks.
She had to make all she had count. Only one way to do that: hit what you're aiming at. That's exactly what she did. One bullet for each target. She aimed for the head if they had armor and the heart if they were unlucky enough to not have it on. The guards had an affinity for coming two or three at a time. Even with her bullet rationing she held off two waves, three waves. But she wasn't in a cheesy late night Holovid. She didn't keep shooting and never run out. Lucius needed to pick up the pace. And she hoped they would run out of guards soon. In a matter of three minutes she had mowed down at least ten. Ten more and she was out of luck.

Lucius heard the firefight ensue outside of the security room, he knew that he would have to speed up the hacking lest he abandons his partner to an almost certain death. Thus, he took some rather unorthodox shortcuts in order to quicken the deletion of the incriminating videos of them. Luckily, due to said techniques, Lucius was able to finish up relatively quickly and made his way outside to Adara. Once outside, he came upon Adara firing at yet another wave of heavily armed guards, it didn't take long for Lucius to realize from the firefight that, if they were to escape out of the bank alive, they would have to leave now. "ED, now!" he yelled into his com, as he brought up his pistol and fired at the incoming guards before turning his head to face Adara. "Get ready to go" he said, as he unleashed yet another salvo at the attacking guards. Meanwhile, behind the two thiefs a circle began to form on the wall, it was ED cutting a hole through the durasteel wall in order for the pair to escape. It did not take long for the droid to finish and for a man size hole to be completed. Lucius smirked and gave a uplifting "Good job, ED" before dismissing the droid and telling Adara to go through the hole while he held off the guards.

Adara nodded and fired one more shot into a guard's brain before fleeing through the hole into the outside. She had half a mind to retreat then and there but the reward for staying, her portion of the credits, was too tempting. She looked down at the rifle she still held. Deciding it was worth keeping she tossed it on the ground next to the wall as she knelt and began maneuvering the duffles out of the hole. It took a good amount of time to get them out, as she kept having to duck out of sight when a guard caught sight of her and fired her way. But she eventually got the last one out and called for Lucius to get out of there.

Lucius looked back at Adara when she called for him and then looked back at the guards. He knew what he had to do. "ED, call the swoop over and get Adara in it. Also drop off my armor before any of that and activate the smoke generator in front of me." he said into his com as he continued to fire at the attacking guards. It did not take long for the droid to follow his commands and come whizzing by with a pack that contained his armor and an activated smoke generator. Lucius smirked and grabbed his armor, putting it on with ease. He then looked at Adara as the swoop stopped in front of her. "Go, I'll meet you at the coordinates locked into the swoop." he said simply, before activating his wrist-flamethrower and burning the guards in front of him alive. After that, he bursted back into the security room, he knew he only had a few moments if he wanted his plan to work, so he quickly accessed the security computer and override the system. Once that was done, he turned off all the electricity in the bank, setting into effect the emergency lights, which flashed a rather dim red light, giving the thief enough cover to move around relatively unnoticed. With the lights off, Lucius made his way back to the vault and jumped through the hole, landing on the rooftop of a nearby building.

Meanwhile, if Adara had stayed on the swoop, she would have been transported to Lucius' ship and escorted inside by ED while Lucius was being chased on the rooftops of the city.

 

[YOLT]

Adara had to pause a moment after the swoop pulled up in front of her. After her mind caught up to what had just occurred, she began to stack the bags on the swoop bike, tying them after she finished. She mumbled as she worked. For one thing, she hated flying. And swoop bikes made her cringe. Old memories and other things she'd rather not think about were the cause of that. But as she climbed on after retrieving the rifle and the bike took off she tried to put it behind her. Only when the bike landed and she opened her eyes did she realize she had closed them. Looking around she realized where she had been taken. Nodding to herself at Lucius' planning she untied the duffle bags and loaded them into the ship. She had to wonder in passing at what was going on back at the bank. Again, she tried not to think about it.
'They always have to do the heroics don't they,' she thought with a twinge of bitterness as she hefted another bag onto the ship.

 

[Lupe]

"Alright, ED. Show them what the Vetus is made of" Lucius said into his com as a dozen heavily armed guards followed him across the rooftops, one of them calling in heavy air support. Almost immediately, ED had the ship in the air and headed over to Lucius, but not before the guards were able to call in their air support, which resulted in two heavy gunships appearing out of the horizon, closing in on Lucius. The thief groaned, and ducked into cover, as they got closer, readying their guns to fire. After that, it did not take long for them to actually fire, letting loose a salvo of armor piercing bullets into the area that Lucius took cover in. It was only a matter of time, before they actually zeroed in on him and began tearing away his cover, after that death would follow. Luckily, today was not the day that Lucius was destined to die, for the Vetus came roaring by, blasting away at the gunships, downing at least one of them before hovering in the air next to the rooftop, Lucius was on. Lucius did not waste one second before running towards the ship's open door and jumping into it.

It was a rough landing, needless to say, forcing Lucius to stay on his knees for a few moments as he recovered. Still, he did have enough strength to shut the door and look at Adara. "Well, now it's time to get off the planet before they call in the Imps." he said simply, getting up with a little struggle and limping to the cockpit, sitting down in the pilot's seat. Once, in the pilot's seat, Lucius armed the guns and finished off the last gunship before making his way to the planet's orbit, but he was not to escape without a fight for almost immediately a squadron of fighters began closing in on the Vetus. "Company." Lucius said, looking at his sensor
"Adara, you're gonna have to mount the top-gun and get them off our tail while I get to orbit."

 

[YOLT]

Adara had to force her stomach back down as the Vetus took off. 'Get a hold of yourself...and your stomach.' Taking a few deep breaths she nodded and ran off to man the top-gun. Taking aim at the squad behind them she began to fire on each of them. She took down two, then exploded one when she hit its fuel cell. It took a little longer than she hoped to get a decent shot at the last two and they went down just in time, for right as she turned around a stray shot took out the gun. She scowled at her luck then grabbed at her stomach as she made the mistake of looking down.
