So now after Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, the New 52 is coming to the DC Animated Universe through the new film Justice League: War. From what I've read, we'll be seeing different versions of our favorite characters as opposed to what we're used to seeing. Flashpoint was a pretty good movie adaptation, so I'm fairly optimistic about War. What do the rest of you guys think?

Well, when they say different they just mean that everyone is kind of a prick and none of them trust each other...at any point really. I mean we're two years into New 52 Justice League at this point and they barely even like each other.

I realize now that I haven't delved into anything DC related (outside of comic books) that I've enjoyed since the Justice League Animated Series.

Am I missing out on anything?

Crisis on Two Earths, New Frontier, Red Hood and Wonder Woman are the best of the animated films. As far as series? Batman: The Brave and the Bold. It focuses on fleshing out the Silver Age aspects of comics but does so with respect and skill. Aside from that? Not really. Young Justice was a dud past the first season (which showed a lot of promise). Green Lantern the Animated Series was canceled before its time. Have not watched Beware the Batman... yet.

I wouldn't recommend much else. The Superman/Batman animated films are alright, but nothing too special. The Dark Knight Returns is fascist drivel and Frank Miller can go **** himself. Flashpoint is stupid, poorly drawn, and needlessly dark --which makes it a great adaptation since the comic its based on is nearly uniformly shitty.

Well I'm glad they're jumping into The New 52 now, it's not like there's any other great Pre-52 stories they could of done before jumping into the mediocrity that is New 52 Justice League, aside from;
Long Halloween
Longbow Hunters
Chris Robinson's Starman.
Gods and Mortals
Hush
52
Red Son (to a lesser extent).
Any of Denny O'Neil's "Demon" arcs.
A League of One.
Green Lantern/Green Arrow.
Nope, nothin really from the pre-52 that could of been done before this.

I'm really not a huge fan of the New 52. Most of the stuff they changed, I really enjoyed. But I'll watch this because I enjoyed Flashpoint, though it won't be nearly as good as Crisis on two Earths, I bet. That's one of my favorites.

This really isn't all the impressive. I wasn't impressed with the story that it is based on and I'm not totally impressed with the character designs from what I have seen on the trailer. Also, I can't hear anything over the music. Not very good.
