Biology​

Jutonians all have dark or tan skin and violet eyes. The children’s eyes change colors depending on their mood until they reach maturity. They also have a relatively short lifespan compared to some species, only living until the age of sixty or seventy in rare cases. Jutonian males and females are easily differentiated between when it comes to appearance and build. The males are bulky and muscular. Their metabolism is quick, allowing them to eat a good deal to gain muscle while rarely if ever gaining fat. Male Jutonians average at around six and a half feet and 200 pounds.

Females are frail creatures. Their facial structure shows this especially. With high, prominent cheekbones, they look fit for a throne instead of the hard work they must do. While not as muscular and more prone to weight gain than their male counterparts, these women are not weaklings. Despite looking like a china doll, they are fairly sturdy. They weigh in at about 100 pounds and 5 feet tall.

All Jutonians are touch telepaths. At maturity they are taught to shield their minds and properly use their gift. As a result they are immune to mental attacks or intrusions unless the attacker is particularly strong and skilled. Their hands are a medium for their gift and are very sensitive. On top of that an erogenous zone are their hands and as such when in public many Jutonians are seen wearing gloves to prevent skin-to-skin contact.

Breeding​

The Jutonians and their subspecies breed like most other near-human species. The women are fertile from eighteen until forty.

Both males and females start maturing at seventeen, reaching full physical and mental maturity at eighteen. During the span of this year all the males and females are sent to an enclave underneath the surface. During this time they are prone to violent mood swings, unprotected minds, and out of wack growth. In some occasions they are prone to randomly shrink or grow taller or in girth. This is usually minor however.

Diet​

Jutonians are omnivores. They eat many of the common berries, fruit, and vegetables that grow on Jotten. They also hunt many of the small mammals abiding in the forests.

Behavior/Temperament​

Jutonians are very laid back. Their focus is on the arts. They can be competitive but they are going to be picking fights. They are sore losers and if they are mad they hide it well. They are going to express themselves through their talents rather than violence.

Culture​

Traditionally all children are taught a talent such as painting, music, or dance. They are pacifistic and abhor weapons.

Law​

Jutonian society is rather harsh when it comes to the breaking of laws. Homosexuality is not permitted and such people are usually exiled either off planet or merely out of the city. If they stay on Jotten they must try to gain access to the cities of the Yotens or the Jusundaar.

If someone is a thief, his or her hands are cut off. A liar has his mouth washed out, same as a curser. A murderer is killed. A rapist is raped.

Religion​

Very few Jutonians are religious but those who are generally older families who still worship an imaginary spirit who laid down certain laws about what his children should do. The law is still run off of this religion and that is why homosexuality is illegal.

Technology​

Due to the Jutonians contact with the galaxy and their involvement in the Galactic Alliance up until its destruction the Jutonians have much of the technology available to those living on Coruscant or Corellia or Denon.

History​

It is unknown how long Jutonians have existed. The oldest records date back hundreds of thousands of years. As long as anyone can remember they've had contact with the outside world. They allied with the Galactic Alliance in its earliest days. They exported and imported many things through their GA ties. When the GA was destroyed the Jutonians cut all ties and went into hiding from the Sith invaders.

Recently a group of Yoten extremists kidnapped random members from the Jutonians and Jusundaar cities. The kidnapped people were never found but the extremists were found and killed and their base was destroyed.








The Yotens

The results of a genetic mutation these people have the dark skin of the Jutonians but blue eyes. When the first Yotens came of age with blue eyes, they were sent away. These two adults built their own civilization and the Yotens became a populous culture.

The Yotens are a militaristic culture. All children are trained to be a hunter or warrior from an early age. While Jutonians hate weapons, Yotens embrace them.

The Yotens have their own enclave for their maturing children. It is very similar to those of the Jutonians. It is likely the separate enclave is merely to be separated from their enemies.



The Jusundaar

The Jusundaar are the rarest subspecies of Jutonians. Created by yet another mutation these people are devoid of the dark skin found in the Yotens and Jutonians. While having the blue eyes of the Yotens from which they came from they have pale skin.

The first pale-skinned Yoten was allowed to remain in the society for the purpose of not encouraging the discrimination the Jutonians had against them. But when the female bore children with a Yoten male and the child too had pale skin and that child’s children had them and so on, it was evident the gene was dominant. For the purpose of saving themselves from extinction, the Yotens sent away the entire society that became known as the Jusundaar.

The Jusundaar are different from their respectively artistic and militaristic counterparts. They are focused on knowledge and education. They are a blend of pacifistic and ready for war. They want nothing to do with the ongoing feud between the Yotens and Jutonians, the Yotens being the instigators. Their city is far away from the two cities and everyone running from the war is welcome inside.
