Name
: Kaa Gila
Faction: Jedi Order
Rank: Jedi Knight
Species: Kel Dor
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Force Sensitive: Yes

Appearance:
Kaa is a typical member of the Kel Dor species. He is of average height and his body type could be described as trim. Distinguishing marks would be his standard googles and mask as well as his species' orange skin.

Attributes:
Spending much of his youth alone, Kaa often found himself reading holobooks on any topic under the twin suns. He has grown in to a very intelligent and wise jedi for his age. This knowledge is now put to practical use through his abilities and knowledge of the Force.

Dedicating himself to knowledge, the jedi was not out becoming the universe's strongest jedi. He lacks raw power. This is not to say he is weak, but he is no Wookiee. The Kel Dor's agility and dexterity is often when helps him overcome his opponents when an issue cannot be resolved through negotiations.

Personality:
The natural thing for Kaa to do is remain silent. He is a being of few words and he makes sure each of those few words matters. Often misunderstood by his fellow jedi, he is often seen as a renegade. It is only those who have known him for sometime that he chooses to open up to.

Kaa works best when he's alone. Unlike most jedi, he does not see comoradery in many of his fellow jedi, but rather views them as an obligation. He returns to the temples to give reports and hear the latest news, but Kaa is certainly a "Lone Anooba."

Fortunately, years of training under one of the most talkative jedi alive, Kaa, while often quiet, is one of the most kind hearted and warm knights. He shares this warmth with the countless beings across the galaxy that are good hearted and honest people.

Knight Gila always thinks of the needs of others before his own and is slow to a fight. His negotiation tactics are well-known and if there is a dispute to be settled, you can bet Kaa is one of the first ones sent in.

Negotiations no matter who is mediating them can sometimes go wrong. It is in these instances that Knight Gila reveals the skills of a true swordsman. When reluctantly dragged into combat, he does what must be done without hesitation.

Biography:

Honest Beginnings:

A teacher and an artist were the humble parents of Kaa Gila. Born almost 25 years ago, on the quiet planet of Dorin, the young Kel Dor was raised comfortably throughout his infancy in the loving arms of his parents; Eerm and Loa.

They were fortunate enough to find themselves in a nice home in the bright capital of Dor'Shan. Their house was full of beautiful plants and flowers which were well-kept by Loa. On quiet evenings, the couple would sit out on their silver balcony. Eerm would read their young daughter Cha stories while, Loa would hold baby Kaa in her arms listening to her husband read.

Dorin was known for its harsh storms which was unfortunate for young Cha who would often find herself frightened by the loud thunderous cracks that echoed from the skies. Unlike Cha, baby Kaa never so much as flinched from the sounds of a storm. In fact, he never cried. This was around the time, his parents realized he was different. Unfortunately, they never had the opportunity to discover more about their son.

Before Kaa even reached 4 months of age, there was a jedi on the family's doorstep. He was a young Selkath knight. His words were full of desire and youthful passion as he explained to the parents the importance that they let their son join the Jedi and that he learn the ways of the force.

It was with much reluctance that they decided to allow their son to be inducted into the order. If it were not for the father's strong belief in the Force, they may not have been willing to part with their child, but they both knew that it must be done.

With sad eyes and heavy hearts, they watched the robed jedi disappear with their child into the city street in the direction of the nearest spaceport.

Since the time of Kaa's departure from his family, he came to learn that they had another son several years later and that their lives remained much the same over the following years.

The Mind of a Child:

Kaa was looked after and raised tenderly by the jedi among the other younglings his age until they could begin their training. Distant memories of classroom meditation and the Force were most of what he recalled from his early training. It wasn't until, Kaa was about seven that the jedi he would become started to take shape.

On one particular day, he and his fellow youngling clan were each asked to make a small presentation on a topic of their choosing. Kaa, was particularly excited for his presentation, but being on the timid side, he let some of the more talkative students go first.

As younglings begin their presentations, Kaa listened intently, learning about his fellow classmates' knowledge on lightsaber crystals, far away planets, and ancient battles that took place. Each youngling showing off their topic with impressive holograms

When it was finally Kaa's turn, he scampered up to the front of the class, his eyes full of excitement hidden behind his goggles eyes. The young boy held up two cupped hands, opening them to reveal a homemade sculpture of a Reek which he had spent all week making in his room. It was then that the children began snickering and smirking.

However, the poor little Kel Dor didn't notice the others until he was already well into describing the native homeworld of the Reek. He looked up from the clay sculpture in his hands to see the others laughing.

Kaa fought back tears as he struggled to make it through his presentation. He made sure to keep his composure until he at least made it to his seat in the back of the oval shaped room. It was then that the little jedi let loose a few tears, but would wipe them away silently the moment they emerged from behind his goggles.

As they were dismissed that day, Kaa dropped his sculpture in the trash on the way out. He spent the evening in his quarters crying alone, until there was a knock on his door.

He tried to hide his sadness quickly as the door slide open to reveal the jedi instructor smiling with the sculpture in her blue hand. The Pantoran drifted it towards him with the Force. Kaa regretted throwing it away and quickly snatched it out of the air as if he hadn't seen it in a millennia.

The jedi instructor sat down on his bed explaining how she liked his sculpture and that everything in the galaxy has a meaning to someone. Just because others don't see the value in something, doesn't meant it's worthless. She explained how for Kaa, that was the Reek and his attempt to recreate this meaning in the form of a sculpture.

When she eventually left him alone for the night, Kaa had discovered two things; all things in this galaxy have meaning and also that he was going to be a loner.

Sculpting the Future:

Kaa Gila kept to himself for the most part after that, at least until his days as a youngling were behind him. The other young jedi never paid him much mind in the following years and he carried on his youngling training from the outskirts.

When he was old enough to begin training as a padawan, the Kaa was placed under the tutelage of Master Finess Rak-So, a middle-aged Weequay.

The two were quiet different. Perhaps it was why the two were paired together. Master So, was always smiling. He was known as a light-hearted soul among the jedi.

He forced Kaa to break out of his comfort zone over the years. The master expressed the importance of personality and how it makes or breaks a person.

Eventually, his master's smile became contagious and Kaa found himself smiling once again. The padawan started wishing others a good morning in the hall and friendly passing nods. It was a good feeling again.

The pair were sent to dozens of planets over the years. They handled tasks from settling minor disputes to extinguishing uprisings. This man had taken a timid and lonely boy and shaped him into a capable and respectable young jedi.

Master So used Kaa's quiet nature to his advantage by showing the padawan how to connect to the Force through the silence in the world. This is how the boy would best be able to commune with universe around him.

The Force became a powerful friend to padawan Gila. Never would he be alone again. There was power to be gained through this friendship, but more importantly peace of mind and serenity. It truly was marvelous for the Kel Dor.

As Kaa grew in years and his connection to the Force growing with him, the padawan was forced to not only learn what it means to be a jedi but also how to fight as one as well.

Master Rak-So saw a that his student was one of kindness. In the boy's younger days, he did not show as much interest in saber combat. The Weequay thought for this reason, it best he teach Kaa, Niman, the "jack of all trades" of saber forms.

A Taste of Ash:

There were several moments in the jedi's life that truly formed who we would become. His trip to Coruscant was one of them.

He and his master were ordered to the city-planet to learn more about an illegal fighting pit that had been established within the lower levels.

Upon arrival, a foul stench filtered into Kaa's mask causing him to nearly gag. The level's streets were dark and garbage was strewn everywhere.

It was at this moment, the young padawan saw something he will never forget; a Rodian woman dressed in rags sitting against a building weeping. She was holding something in her arms.

As he and his master made their way down the street, the object became clear...it was the limp body of her son. His hollow face was one of disease. Kaa almost gasped his Masted Rak-So sheltered the sight from his view with his cloak.

The rest of their mission was forgotten in time, but that face. That face one one that Kaa will never forget.

Sharpening the Blade:

The master taught his padawan well. With time, Kaa came to find a stronger love for saber combat even if his true purpose came through the Force.

As the Kel Dor's strength in Form VI grew, his master thought it time to specialize his abilities. This came in the form of a second lightsaber. Through this second blade, Kaa learned to stay well protected. A second weapon did come with greater risk, however. The jedi learned to make his moves more conscious and precise. There was no room for haphazard swings in this saber form.

A Time for Action:

By padawan Gila's nineteenth birthday, he was facing the trials. He was ready for the life of a knight. His master had taught him well. It was time for Kaa to make his own way in the Order.

Over the years of his training, Kaa had found what drove him. It was an empathy and care for the weak and small. This is when the Kel Dor first started requesting to be sent on mercy missions so to aid those in the galaxy in need.

Whether it was healing sick refugees in the Outer Rim, or helping build irrigation systems on desert planets, the Jedi Knight has always sought to make the galaxy a better place one good deed at a time.

@LaPurple will look over the profile soon, but having a frigate for one character wont be a thing, you can ask to use it but being the one in charge of it isn't really allowed.
