You could just ask to be captured. Most bounties want their prey alive, after all.

And yes, you can make a thread death disabled, just make sure you say so in the op in big, readable, letters.

"Big, readable, letters." Yes, but if your character gets themself into a trap, better find a way to get out of it. But to be honest, i wouldn't put a bounty on my characters head. But its your choice not mine.
