Kaylon Neroka is a weathered and battered-looking man. Slim and relatively athletic, but aged from a former life as a bounty hunter. His features are relatively gaunt while beside hard eyes that have seen more than their share from his small part of the galaxy, his face and body are rather unremarkable.
His expression seems persistently thoughtful, by both posture and look in his dark brown eyes.
He has a fair head of white hair that he often hides beneath his hat, which contrasts in typical Pantoran style from his blue skin.
His body is riddled with scars from life both in and out of civilization, typically fleshwounds from more traditional weapons, though a few marks along the arms and midriff show close fights with carniverous wildlife.

Neroka's most prominent flaw is the memory of his family, most prominently brought about in memories that surface when in society and especially when dealing with pantoran females of a similar age to any member of his family.
Having spent extended time alone, solitude is his preference though he does not shun the company of others that he can trust.
Despite the sins of his past, he is a born survivor, being a former bounty hunter who took refuge in the wild, he has experienced life as both part of the underworld and outside the realm of civilization. His skills in the latter regard are entirely self-developed and come from no prior training, his scars are testament to his early years in the wilderness. The skills that came from being a bounty hunter meant that his abilities to hunt and face creatures and people bigger and stronger than him was never left to go unpractised.
He would consider himself level-headed, even if the collective were to prove otherwise, and he has no delusions that there are creatures and people out there that can and will probably kill him with ease, if they were given the chance.
From a life that he eventually came to abandon and reject for the call of the wild, he has become distrusting, self-loathing and haunted by memories of his dead family whenever a stimulus for their memory might surface.
PERSONALITY:
Having distanced himself from society, Kaylon is content to enjoy solitude away from the demands, expectations and difficulty of life in the grey area of morality. He has always strived to be a good role model for children but continues to distance himself if he feels others are at risk due to his actions. Besides this, he abides by a moral code and his own personal interpretation of honour which he feels more shackled by than proud of. He has come to terms with the death of his family and that sometimes he will be forced to do things he would trade the world to not do.
His background has sculpted him into a distrustful, pessimistic individual typically expecting the worse from people known to be criminals or on the shady side of the law. Those that he comes to know dearly (regardless of this), he is known to develop an attachment for, brought out through his past experiences.
Having spent a great amount of time away from society, his return to civilization has led to anxiety and a longing for isolation where he believes he can be at peace.
He has a strong dislike of pit droids which he claims to come from their clumsiness, though a pit droid's competence does not seem to affect his collective view of them.
BIOGRAPHY:
Having first left his home world with other Pantorans seeking a life beyond their system, Kaylon was one of many which went beyond the edge of their system seeking a place in the wider scope of the galaxy. It is aboard this ship that it is understood he met with a Pantoran by the name of Darthia, who during the course of the journey would become romantically involved with Kaylon.
With the ship travelling from world to world seeking supplies and taking advantage of the mercantile benefits having come from Pantora, the number of Pantorans aboard began to diminish as each sought new places to call home and it is from then that Kaylon Neroka left with Darthia to the world of Cartao.
Cartao became Kaylon Neroka's home for a majority of his life thereafter, where he eventually married Darthia and had a daughter with her called Kataria. Working as a bounty hunter for a hutt while his wife cared for his child, it is understood his marksmanship skill came from an early life as a game hunter on Ordo Plutonia hunting wildlife, and despite making as frequent visits home as he could, his hutt employer sought to take full advantage of his abilities as often as possible.
While his own retellings of events grow sketchy thereafter, it is understood that knowledge of his latest given bounty indirectly reached the ears of a rising criminal gang located on Cartao itself, the head of which was the target of the assassination. On one such visit home Neroka since suspects that he was followed, thus betraying the location of his home and those he held dear. His family then became the target of a kidnapping by the gang, which both emotionally and psychologically stressed Kaylon Neroka to the point of confronting the gang with bloody vengeance on his mind to get them back.
Confronting them, Kaylon admits to having entered without a high expectation of coming out alive without his family. However the turnout of the standoff was both the assassination of his family and the original target of his assassination warrant.
To this day he is known to have nightmares cradling the bodies of both his wife and his twelve year old daughter.
Following the assassination, Neroka was faced with an existential crisis regarding his place on Cartao now that his hopes for a happy life had been swept away by the profession he had worked at for over a decade. Plagued by guilt because of this, he sought a way out from answering assassination warrants at the hands of the hutts. Fed information by corrupt members of the cartel regarding how the rising gang got word of his bounty, distrust regarding the hutts festered and with the hutts refusing to relinquish Neroka from employment for his skills and by the very fact that he was still alive, Neroka opted to disappear, leaving Cartao by whatever means possible.
Escaping aboard a craft by the name of the Yoania, Neroka first encountered the smuggler by the name of Quint Hart, to whom Neroka has always maintained owing a favour to on the grounds that without him his life would have been cut short at the hands of hutts handling a rogue bounty hunter.
Eventually leaving the company of Hart, and trying to escape the memories of Cartao and the loss of his family since he left, Neroka has tried to find a place in any number of new surroundings which have brought him to Taanab where the rich wildlife and challenging terrain brought about a challenge like when he was once a game hunter.
He has spent longer on Taanab than on any other planet after the death of his family.
SKILLS:
While Neroka is competent with a knife, his set of skills have been honed in long ranged combat and a life given over to survival and surviving in isolation.
His cuisine of dishes typically spans getting the most nutrition out of as few ingredients as possible, though he is an amateur at best, his skills as a hunter have kept him alive when only questionably poisonous berries and wildlife that wanted to eat him were the only options. Few people are brave enough to ask to try his rather unappetising dishes.
GEAR:
Neroka treasures his sniper rifle, which is nothing beyond a reliable old rifle which has steadily gained sentimental value since his time as a bounty hunter. There is little out of the ordinary about the rifle, and while he strives to keep it in good working order, he is not beyond modifying it (though as yet, only Pippa has).
Neroka has adopted the use of a side arm in circumstances where his rifle isn't viable to use, though there is little decorum about the pistol, it has been subject to modification by Pippa Rhute but behaves the same as a holdout pistol (See a Czerka Holdout Pistol, but with half the magazine capacity (so 4) and does not possess the recharge capacity).
Donning a simple broad-rimmed hat, Neroka's attire consists of generally simple clothes without extravagance or restricting his movements. Provided he is not restricted mobility-wise or wearing anything overly extravagant, he is content to wear whatever he has available. The hat he bears is the main consistency between his outfits.
While the wood and gold were typical of the original armament, designed for hunting large game, the black metal and glowing blue elements are modifications made by Pippa Rhute to allow the rifle to perform on par with other weapons against a typical adversary.
Functions as a wood-based: CEC-5R without Silencer
Its "magazine" is the cell of green liquid resting atop the barrel. Neroka is not sure what Pippa did to the gun to make it fire using this.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Quint Hart is among the few acqaintances that Kaylon would consider a friend. Having helped Neroka when it came to fleeing the system of his home and the clutches of a hutt's syndicate, Hart is responsible for Neroka likely still being alive and free of control. As a result, Neroka owes Hart for his freedom and worked for the Hapan for some time thereafter.
Through an incident which led to the two going their separate ways, there has been a general sense of unease between the two surrounding the tones and terms with which they departed.
Pippa "Pip" Rhute is a companion of Neroka's who has seen to repairing his weapons after the time spent on Taanab. While Neroka remains unsure what to think of the short humanoid with a bulky suit, he is curious about her for her unique social idiosyncrasies and appreciates her company.
Over time, Neroka has taken to considering Pippa as having filled the void left by his deceased daughter, though remaining entirely independent of one another, how this might be reflected in his protection of her and other company he keeps has yet to be tested.
Kyllan Braemar is a companion of Neroka's who was at first considered a threat for his mandalorian heritage and his combat abilities. Though over time, Neroka now considers Kyllan to be a very competent and honourable individuals, a respectable and lethal fighter, and a watchful guardian over members of their mutual social groups. Each has trained against the other over time, acknowledging each other's strengths and testing each other's weaknesses with the aim to mutually improve. While it has never been outright said, Neroka would believe Hart and Pippa in good hands when left in his company.
