"Kill shields shields! Bring us around. I need us aligned ASAP! I need everyone ready for warp now!"

A resounding response from the crew of the Indomitable, the flagship of the Republic scout contingent. The Indomitable along with her sister Concussus were two of the largest ships that held the class of Battlecruiser. Wile not packing enough to be called a battleship, they certainly packed enough to take on about anything they would run into on the Republic frontier.

A total of ten ships responded as quickly as captains could relay orders turned from their carefully plotted course to align their ships to the reported location. All of these ships had experienced captains and crews, but they were far from veterans. Any veterans had long since transferred fromt he front lines or been bumped up to more important roles. Only the young and the beautiful were left to fight pirates or fend off Hutt scouts.

"Sir, the Concussus says she is experiencing problems meeting warp regulations. We're too close together to warp."

"Thank you Ensign... Tell the fleet to spread, these B.C.'s need room. "

He was of course referring to the two Battle Cruisers that made up the meat of his fleet. Aside from the two heavy hitters there were three Crusiers, four Destroyers, and three Frigates. A fleet of this size was classed strong enough to deal with an equal number of ships and no more. If a Battleship or large Pirate fleet showed itself, then reinforcements would be called in, but aside from that the oversized cannons on the Dominus Class Battlecruisers could handle it.

Chatter came over the comms declaring readiness to Jump, it had taken merely seconds to form up, a good from the drills run all day.

"BREAK!"

This told the communications officer to cut chatter and transmit the Fleet Commander over the top.

"Jump! Jump! Jump!"

In unison, every ship in the fleet jumped. Visual scans would confirm that the ships were moving at the same speed on their way to reinforce a smaller group that had stumbled upon a Pirate Safe-Spot off of the jump lanes. They had been far enough into the obscure zones that they had evaded patrols until a random track had found them. Immediately the six-ship scout group had come under fire. Raven Fleet- as it was designated due to the Fleet Commanders name- had been close by and was able to jump directly to the position.

"Shields up! Frigates, forward and engage when you have lock, fighters need to form up with Allied squadrons. I want Alpha on that Destroyer!"

Captain Kieth Raven had immediately identified the most powerful ship in the enemy fleet of twenty sub-Frigate to Destroyer class ships. The monitors surrounding his captains chair had been well lit by numerous images immediately captured by the computers visual scans. Other scans would pick up other information like registration tags and ship models, but he hardly needed that.

In a moment, volleys from various ships in the fleet landed on the Pirate destroyer. It's shields evaporated in a moment under the fire and it's armour began to crumble under continued beatings.

"Form a volley formation. We need to hit the smaller ships."

Every ship- with exception of the frigates- then broadsided the enemy. Guns that had previously taken much calculation for each shot could now easily be powered by onboard systems instantly. The nine stationary ships now ripped apart the less armed and surprised Pirate enemy. Some attempted to face the new fleet, but were unable to bring enough firepower to compete with Republic issue ships. These ships were amazingly better equipped than retail combat vessels.

Now there were eleven of the twenty enemy ships out of commission. Four had been down upon arrival and five more had gone down when Raven Fleet arrived.

"Primary the Frigates, and shut every ship down, I don't want any jumpers!"

Now every man in the fleet felt the elation as an enemy realized the impending loss and would attempt to escape. It was a sound strategy at this point in combat, but the preparation stages in the enemy were lacking. Pirates hardly had the leadership or skill to take on Republic ships.

"Overheat the guns."

Then some of the crew turned in surprise, overheating the guns was only to be done in dire situation, or when an enemy absolutely had to be killed, imminent victory had made such action excessive.

""Sir?"

"You heard me, overheat the guns, I want to see cooked corpses hit the windows."

No one had really gotten used to this part of combat, some captains were strange. Now with the battle ending he'd given a strange order to fulfil. It was reluctantly passed on and in seconds the remaining Pirates were space dust. Everyone cheered, with the exception of a few officers surrounding Keith Raven.

Captain Raven was not infamous, but his actions were certainly creepy. At the end of battles he had recovery teams bring back a few corpses, which was actually pretty normal for recovery teams. The captain requesting such action always seemed strange. There were a few rumors that went around about it, but it was usually passed off as a nonsense story. What captain would strap his enemies corpses to the guns of his ship?

Name: Keith Raven
Age: 37
Height: 5'9

Kieth is an Admiral of the Republic. Originally from Balmorra, Kieth attended the Navy academy of Coruscant after being a NCO for two years. He is confident, if not cocky. He is also beginning to show signs of space sicknesses. He's spent a little too much time in space and not on planets, it does things to you.

-------------------
Brutal

There are some captains that are blunt, some that are direct, and others that are clever. Keith is how the word Brutality is explained. While he does not rely on pure brute strength, it is easy to say he is relentless. There is never any warning, nor any leverage. Discipline is paramount, no one under his command ever gets away with any slight.

Be warned, if you fly under Captain Raven, you will find yourself asking for more starch in your uniform.
