Kerra was born on Coruscant. Her mother was a normal, working-class citizen that worked full time. Her father was a soldier in the Grand Army of the Republic; a soldier that didn’t come home from the war. The death of her father made it tougher on her mother, to say the least. Her mother would provide the best she could, but there were plenty of nights Kerra went to bed hungry. Despite this, the small family carried on.

Public school was where Kerra would spend most of her time growing up. She was an excellent student; getting top marks on all of her work. Most of her peers thought her to be smarter than everyone else, but really she just stayed at school longer and did the assignments as they were given. Her motivation wasn’t scholar-based, but hunger based. When the cafeteria would throw out all the leftover food from the day, Kerra would scavenge what non-spoiled food she could find in it and take it home with her. Eventually Kerra’s mother fell into the habit of drugs, and Kerra wouldn’t even go home after the school day.

As soon as she could, Kerra enlisted in the Republic Judicial Forces. She left her mother behind, whom later died of an overdose. Kerra had given up on her long ago, and wasn’t phased by the death. Basic training was difficult for Kerra; she wasn’t very strong, and the other recruits surpassed her in every strength based course they had. What she lacked in strength however, she made up for in her agility and intelligence. During team building exercises, she would almost always come up with the plan that would work, and if it required being light on one’s feet, she volunteered for it. By the time of graduation, Kerra was leading her teams.

Upon becoming a private in the Judicial Forces, Kerra continued training herself in her spare time. Her loved her new life, and more importantly to her, she felt a little closer to the father she never met. The bubbly, “ready for anything” attitude would eventually fade and give way to a cold, calculating demeanor. Despite the Republic being in a time of peace, violence was still very much alive within the Republic’s embrace. Not every mission or patrol that Kerra participated in went violent, but at least once every two to three weeks it would. Kerra saw plenty of new friends killed during missions, and many more wounded and maimed.

It was almost chance that Kerra was recruited into the Intelligence branch of the Judicial Forces.; She had just returned from a mission and her captain was speaking to a director when she walked in to give a debrief. The director took Kerra under his wing and began a years worth of training to become a field agent. It was during this training that she found her strengths and weaknesses outside of combat roles, but she still worked her combat skills to the bone. Pistols and hand-to-hand were her combat forte, though she knew her way around a rifle by the time her training had ended and she was out in the field.

Kerra has a very cold, calculating demeanor. She’s blunt, to the point of being rude at times. Mission accomplishment is her first priority at all times. If she’s not on a mission, she’s preparing her body and mind for one. She’s calloused to seeing blood and death, and in many cases can seem fearless.

Underneath this wall, is a rather normal woman. She likes to read, take care of her cleanliness and herself, and exercise. Those who stick around long enough to break through her steel curtain will find she’s very caring of those who make it on her good-side.
