Having been very sporadically trained by several Jedi in her childhood, Khelsea pursues further knowledge about the Force. Finding a cram class offered by Jedi Knight Rane Vastra, Khelsea and fellow padawan Awande Nombeko learn and brush up on the basics of Telekinesis, Force Speed, Force Jump, Force Sigiht, and discuss the Jedi Code.

Khelsea meets her assigned Jedi master, Raleigh. Despite not seeing eye-to-eye initially, their relationship as a teacher and student grows over a month spent together training in different skills including Telekinesis, Soresu, meditation, and Force Speed.

Khelsea meets another Jedi padawan, a young Pantoran girl named Jade. They have a sparring session, and in a conversation afterwards Khelsea learns about Jade's tragic past. Despite several hiccups in the conversation which were likely due to a clash of personalities and their polar opposites in social upbringing, Khelsea feels they ended off on a high note, and hopes to learn from this experience so any future interactions with Jade will be less awkward. Most importantly, Khelsea's respect and admiration for Jade's courage and selflessness grows, and sincerely appreciates the younger girl's altruism.

Khelsea travels to the moon of Galtea with Jedi master Lutomi and padawan Kai. Stumbling upon an ancient Jedi temple, she is tested by the dark side of the Force and is rewarded with her first lightsaber crystal after struggling with all her might. It was in the very same temple that the roots of her friendship with Kai Sera began to grow, building trust and camaraderie which would undoubtedly be useful in future missions.

Barely a day after she had returned to Lamaredd, Khelsea was approached by Kai on orders from master Lutomi to scout out the jungles near the Jedi Outpost. Locals have been whispering about strange events, and it was up to her and Kai to find out and report back without engaging the enemy or revealing that the Jedi were on the planet. As the pair of padawans travel, they get to know each other better through a wide range of conversation. Kai also teaches Khelsea the basics of Force Stealth. Through several events, Khelsea is constantly reminded of her overreliance on her own skills rather than using the Force. After encountering a group of slavers and freeing three captured Menahuun, Khelsea and Kai get separated and have to flee for their lives. Slowly learning to rely on the Force, Khelsea learns to utilize the art of movement through Kai's guidance and eventually the two meet up at a safe location after escaping on their own.

After returning from a mission in the jungles of Lamaredd with fellow padawan Kai Sera, Khelsea takes Kai up on his offer to teach her how to construct a lightsaber. Using the permafrost crystal obtained while travelling with master Lutomi and Kai, Khelsea constructs her first lightsaber after many hours of focus and continual support from Kai. Surprising both her and Kai, Jedi Master Lutomi Renelo offers to take Khelsea as an apprentice since they were unable to contact her current master. Khelsea agrees to this relationship tentatively, giving Raleigh a period of time to respond or return to Lamaredd before officially switching masters.

Afterwards, Hishamori leaves and Kai teaches Khelsea Force Barrier, and the two practice and test out Khelsea's ability to create a working barrier to protect herself with.

Still on Bakura, Khelsea attends another class taught by Jedi Knight Dartel Vega, this time on the basic fundamentals of Form IV: Ataru. Her classmates are Awande Nombeko and Amynn Dal'Tur, and the trio work on the techniques taught by Dartel. At the end, Khelsea volunteers to attempt Dartel's test first, and after fighting for almost an hour and receiving multiple hits, she successfully takes down the trio of droids which had customized programming to make them very efficient sparring partners.

Khelsea embarks on a mission with friend Kai Sera and fellow Jedi Hishamori. Their destination is a fancy event hosted by the governor of Lamaredd, where they will infiltrate the event dressed as nobles and mingle with the crowd. Their goal is to find the imperial dignitary who was attending the event, and either to find out why he was interested in the planet, or just get rid of him completely, with his death as the last option. In the end, Kai scares the dignitary off with illusions created through the Force, and also dissuades him from staying on the planet by mentioning large amounts of unsavory characters, including pirates and slavers.

While traveling to a Jedi safehouse on Theed to pick up a package, Khelsea notices a street brawl between a human male and several Gungans. She later finds out that the young man is a Jedi padawan as well - when he breaks into the safehouse in order to hide from the Gungans he had offended. Khelsea had initially wanted to urge the intruder to leave before he could find out the safehouse's secrets, but after talking to Aramis, Khelsea figures out his identity from their conversation due to his minor slip-up. She eventually tries to help him connect with the Jedi Order, and before leaving she discusses the wrongness of his aggressive actions and what the Jedi Code means.

Khelsea takes Calcus to the Jedi Outpost on Lamaredd, and they spar aboard a training room in Calcus' ship. Khelsea is eventually victorious and all seems well, but upon entering the Lamaredd system, the two Jedi are captured by a tractor beam. The pirates subsequently attempt to board Calcus' ship, and after successfully repelling the attack, Calcus and Khelsea mount an offensive, and eventually manage to subdue the pirates and deactivate the pirate ship's weapons systems and tractor beam without revealing their identity as Jedi. They also find some loot on the ship, which they take with them. Most importantly, Khelsea refrained from taking any of the pirates' lives, and resorted to using stun bolts from a blaster and binding the stunned enemies.

Khelsea persuades Felix to not travel to Coruscant, and despite their initial disagreement Felix eventually listens to Khelsea. They also discuss the Sith and the Jedi, and Khelsea notifies Felix of his Force Sensitivity and eventually convince him to join the Jedi. While in the Bacrana system, the pair also submit the blueprints to construct Khelsea's customized ship that the two of them had designed together, and after leaving the system they continue to do business and visit the DSC Daedalus before finally arriving at the Jedi outpost on Lamaredd.

Eventually, they come to terms and their mission is successful. However, a bounty hunter intercepts them on the way, and Reland gets knocked out. Khelsea fights and wins against the bounty hunter, killing him during the combat. She is distraught at taking another being's life, and when master Reland is revived, he gives her advice on how to cope and tries to reassure her.

The supposedly empty warehouse turns out to be housing a fairly large gang of criminals, and Reland and Khelsea fight to escape.

Khelsea had followed her, and in the aftermath many surviving Jedi are loaded onto Master Lutomi's ship. Khelsea isn't exactly sure what exactly happened after she left, but it clearly involved infighting between high ranking Jedi.
Questions:
Does my character uphold the Jedi Code?
When Khelsea officially joined the Jedi Order, the Jedi Code was one of the first things impressed upon her. She understands and upholds the Jedi Code, always trying to help those in need. This is demonstrated through her interaction with other Jedi as well as non-Force sensitive beings. She has brought several lost padawans into the NJO, bringing them to the Jedi Outpost on Lamaredd after carefully examining them and making sure they weren't spies or unwanted visitors. She also only resorts to violence and combat as a last resort, preferring to find a peaceful solution. Even in combat, she prefers to stun and disable enemies rather than killing them.
Is your Jedi padawan proficient in the discipline of the lightsaber?
Khelsea has worked hard and improved her proficiency in Soresu, training with several higher ranked Jedi and sparring with a few padawans as well. Additionally, she has started learning and improving her understanding of Ataru, believing that she could one day combine the quick movements of Ataru and the solid defense of Soresu to create a balanced attack and still be able to defend efficiently. Her primary form is Soresu because she believes that a strong defense is the perfect foundation to build upon.
Is your padawan trained in the basic usage of the Force, i.e. Force powers?
After training extensively, Khelsea is now proficient in the basic usage of Force powers, and has picked up several other skills as well - such as Force Cloak and Force Stealth.
Lastly, does your padawan understand the Force? Do they understand what is meant when one references the light side and the dark side? Does your padawan personally know how to distinguish the light from the dark in actions, thoughts, and behaviors within themselves and others?
Khelsea has been tempted by the dark side of the Force, and after recognizing it she immediately rejected it and any offers it had tempted her with. Khelsea has also had lessons on how to use Force Vision to decipher a being's Force allegiance. When Khelsea found and brought a few new padawans into the Jedi Order, she made sure that they were not on the dark side through their conversations and interactions. Most importantly, Khelsea once relied more on her physical and mental powers, but this is no longer the case. Through her time as a Jedi, Khelsea has come to understand that the Force cannot be explained or solved, not even through scientific means. No longer naive about the Force, Khelsea does not question supernatural occurances or unexplainable events anymore. Rather, she has learned to believe what she see when it comes to the Force, and to trust it fully to guide her actions.
