That just boils down to Alliance - Sith, since you joined during the previous mando posting block and are on their side. Join their block, let's keep it as simple as we can. @Mad Dog

Ok, that works. It would have been the same thing anyway.

@Denzein you start your post in the distance, out of range and then close it and also overtake the shuttle which is also moving away from you. While your ship is fast I don't think you would reach it all the way let alone pass it.

My opening post finishes with Tiberius beginning his attack run on the shuttle, dipping and descending from above. At that point, the shuttle is not running, but is still stationary until the basilisk is back aboard, and even then has to pull up and get up to speed all the while Tiberius is closing at maximum.

Considering he was close enough to begin a run on the shuttle when it was still firing on sith at the gates, and he was up to speed and descending when the shuttle was hovering moving into an ascent, I thought it'd be appropriate for him to close as quickly as he did - I might not have done a great job at portraying that though - dogfighting isn't something I'm used to. @Darasuum

hyperspace travel guide

So Burkhart has engaged the hyperdrive early after 1 turn with a class 6 hyperdrive. I have reported it so Loco can take a look at it. It won't count against the staff ruling count (though I doubt that matter now)

Safety protocols can be overridden at great risk. Contact a tech admin or mod if you wish to do the following:
-Engage the hyperdrive before calculations have finished
-Override the gravity-well failsafe (i think he did this too)
-Engage the hyperdrive from in-atmosphere or within low planetary orbit

-Chart new hyperspace lanes or avoid mapped hyperspace lanes entirely
-Other uses that would be foreseeably dangerous

highlighted what I think they have working against them.

have mercy dungeon master!

I did the math in staff chat, so as they can all attest, you came very close to success, but not quiet close enough. Rolling for your mishap now. Drum roll please...

Edit: The good news is that the shuttle jumps successfully- the bad news is that you are wildly off course. Like, wildly wildly. You may not even end up in the same quadrant as your intended destination. I'll have to randomize where you come out later, which could present you with it's own set of problems, but you have escaped the immediate threat.

The rest of the thread can continue now without the shuttle and its occupants. They'll be in hyperspace for awhile.

@Mad Dog RE your last post, might I suggest you not try and hyperspace ram the temple? Firstly, there's no guarantee your ship won't immediately explode. Secondly have you considered the ramifications of such a move being allowed to take place successfully to the extent it is in your post? Thirdly, I don't know if you have but by trying to activate hyperspace before your ship has completed any turns of preparation requires you to report your own post to Loco, who will roll on the hyperspace mishaps like what happened earlier in this thread.

I suggest just ramming the temple, if you're set on kamikaze-death, or turning to flee if you'd rather Karen maybe live. If not, you need to report your post to Loco if you haven't already.

Will do. And I'm not expecting a nuclear outcome, but even a starfighter traveling at lightspeed will do a measurable amount of damage.
