For English we are supposed to do a project making up our own King Arthur Legends. I was thinking of doing a creative writing, but I can't think of anything to write about. I know I want Arthur, Arthur's evil son, some knights of the round table, and maybe some demons in the story...but I don't know what I could do that hasn't been done already...

any thoughts?

Have Arthur be taken over by a demon and his evil son save him.

Do something clever, like make Arthur a character in todays world, as head of a business or something.

I was actually thinking recently of doing something with Ravens...as they symbolized death and were known as Shapeshifters. So maybe I could say Arthur's son wasn't evil at all, but Raven's killed him and "turned into him." Then he would appear evil.

here it is so far:

King Arthur and the Three Ravens

by

Neil Abrams

Above grand town of Camelot flew thousands of Ravens. Their black, feathered bodies darkened the sky, blocking out the sun. Their sharp, glowing golden eyes peered down unto the townspeople, as if watching their prey. Then without warning, the demon birds struck relentlessly, skydiving towards the people, tearing them apart limb from limb with their sharp beaks. They were destroying Camelot, the infamous town of legends. They were destroying his town.

A dark figure rose suddenly from his slumber, heart pounding and sweat pouring down the man’s face. Peering around in the darkness he began to recognize that he was in his bedroom, dark crimson curtains drawn around the luxurious bed he was moments before sleeping in. The man rose and opened the curtains, his bare feet touching the cold, stone floor. He stared out from the large glass window, memorized by the haunting image of the cold wind moving between the trees, as the bright moon shone from behind.

................Then what? You've given us that it's Arthur's son killed and mimicked by ravens. Then what? Plus, with the Ravens, since they're going to be Shapeshfiters, think out of the box with what you can do with them. There's plenty you can do, I would know. I have a 'thing' for Shapeshifters.

Don't start writing before you have the full story down! That's skipping step one: Plan. You aren't done planning!!! *freaking out*

SOLUS!

Calm down, happy thoughts... breathe in, breathe out. Think of happy things, like ice cream, bunnies, world domination, nekked women. Somethin.

My question is have you read the original legends? In my english we did... theres ALOT. My favorites involved Gawain... the dude is a badass. Gawain and his wife, and Gawain and the Green Knight were among the best. Enough about me though, the point Im trying to make here is focus on the moral of the story, not the story itself, since that is how the original tales are told. Good stuff... and good luck!

Lol, sometimes not planning ends up being the best plan someone will ever have. I should know, my best character had a plan, but was then abandoned and unexpected things happened, that I just went with. My RP style is that I never have a plan before I jump on something, I just go with the flow, and let my fingers guide me. Yup, I'm cool like that. Soak it all in.

1. that was just the intro so far man...keep you on your feet. And it did just that. lol

2. yeah, we're actually reading all those stories now.

3. Indeed Kurt, I am mainly going with the flow. I have a basic plot, but the details come as I type.

Damn you!

Now I want to watch it. I was out at Hell-mart and bought three movies... NONE of them meet the standard of excellence that is ...Monty Python.

(To be fair I havn't watched Three Kings, but Doom is not even in the same league.)
