Kito'dirva is a planet near the center of Eternal Sith space. Although not the original Sith home-world, its central location, mild climate and abundant natural resources have ensured that it has become the most populous Sith world in the Stygian Reaches, and has grown to become the capitol of the Eternity more or less by default.

Kito'dirva is a temperate world located in approximately the middle of its star's habitable zone. Although it bears the scars of asteroid bombardment and extensive volcanic activity, including an extinct volcanic cone which pokes its summit up above the planetary atmosphere, few natural catastrophes have befallen its modern inhabitants. Kito'dirva does have dramatic terrain in places; the aforementioned volcano is accompanied by a number of other dramatic peaks, between which are nestled many isolated and fertile valleys and ravines. The planet's surface is mostly composed of a single landmass, dotted with crater lakes and abutted to the north by an ocean; this body of water is connected to the inland Long Sea, a flooded canyon network which composes the deepest body of water on the planet.

Most of Kito'dirva's surface which is not taken up by mountains or water is composed of dense jungle or grassland, with some areas arid enough to produce desert conditions. The planet's native flora and fauna is notably primitive, with large reptilian-avian creatures filling many of the top positions in the ecology.
HISTORY
HISTORY

Kito'dirva's history is, in a word, fragmentary. The planet was settled deep in the past, perhaps even longer ago than Psykros, its main political rival. Unlike Psykros, much of Kito'dirva's historical records were lost during the Great Unmaking, with records written after the fact pointing to an invasion by an unknown hostile culture, thought to be the same one which attacked many other worlds during the Unmaking.

Since the Unmaking, a great deal of effort and resources have been put into rebuilding Kito'dirva to its presumed former glory. Still the seat of the Eternal Sith government, the planet is materially supported by the rest of the Sith holdings. Many of the wonders which exist on Kito'dirva have been built since the Unmaking, with many residents of the planet consciously choosing to embrace the possibilities of the future, rather than dwelling on the lost glories of the past.
NOTABLE LOCATIONS
NOTABLE LOCATIONS

Kito'dirva is a diverse world, rich in wonders both natural and artificial. These include some of the following.

THE ETERNAL CITY

THE ETERNAL CITY

The Eternal City is the capitol city of Kito'dirva, and by extension, the Eternity in general. Built on a mountainside after the original capitol was reportedly destroyed in an atomic attack during the Great Unmaking, this "new" capital embodies the strength and vitality the Eternity seeks to cultivate, home to many cultural treasures and feats of engineering. As the center of the Eternity, the city receives the best Sith space has to offer, and its population strives to repay the privilege with works that will benefit the Eternity as a whole.

This is, of course, not the whole story. The Eternal City does have a dark side, quite literally in many cases, and there are plenty of dangers for the unwary should they stray into the wrong part of town. The city is also home to politics and power brokers, from petty neighborhood tyrants to those who wield influence on an interstellar scale...
THE ETERNAL REVUE

THE ETERNAL REVUE

As a symbol of it military prowess, the navy of the Eternal Sith has Kito'dirva perpetually guarded by a force known as the Eternal Revue. Although such a force would not normally be ascribed a location, the Revue is unique in that it is typically stationed at a point above the Long Sea, to which any being from inside or outside the Eternity can travel and view the guard fleet hovering overhead. Ships of the Revue take the duty in shifts, with about half the fleet under repair, refit and refuel at any given time, while the others hover on repulsors. Although hardly the most efficient way to showcase a fleet, it is hard to beat as a symbol, and tends to get the point across to the Eternity's enemies.
GREAT ZIGGURAT OF SETHOKAN

GREAT ZIGGURAT OF SETHOKAN

The Great Ziggurat of Sethokan is one of Kito'dirva's many ancient wonders. Built during the reign of an ancient Sith king from before the Great Unmaking, the Ziggurat's location deep in an impenetrable mountain range hid it from the outside for millennia; it was not until relatively recently that it has been rediscovered. The Ziggurat was the seat of a Force cult, one which seemed to worship dual aspects of the Force; after the death of its builder, the deepest reaches of the Ziggurat became a mausoleum for the ancient king Sethokan, who had been the cult's leader. It is unknown what happened to the cult, and due to its shear size and complexity, the Ziggurat still holds many secrets which have yet to be explored.

INTENT

To create a planet to serve as the capital for the Eternal Sith.
