Rakata Prime

Rakata Prime was a very interesting planet in an already interesting galaxy, a bunch of little eccentricities that piled up into a planet sized ball. There were many things of note about the planet: It was the homeworld of what was argued to be the first species with hyperspace travel, for starters. Not only that, but the Rakatans also supposedly created an empire which fell...Because of the dark side. You add to that the fact that it's one of the few planet from the unknown regions that could be traveled to and you got yourself a prime target for sith to explore.

And explore Anai Skhess would, she had been to a few different planets since she had left her homeworld, but she still wanted to see more, many of them were quite unlike anything she had seen before...And when it came to things she had never seen before, Rakata Prime felt like it would be the most enlightening trip yet and the Kaleesh acolyte simply took the chance.

Of course, she took the chance because she didn't have the means to travel there on her own, initially she didn't even know that such a planet existed, in fact. She simply overheard that a champion was going to go there and offered to let an acolyte assist them and she just took the opportunity that was given to her...Just needed to beat up another acolyte for that privilege, really.

Once the ship landed on the beaches of Rakata Prime, Anai would be among the first people to get out, wearing her usual clothing and carrying her lightsaber and rifle with her. "This place is...pretty for a place belonging to a fallen empire with ties to the dark side." She simply said as she looked around, she initially thought this would be a Moraband or even a Dagobah situation...But this place was pretty, the sea in front of them, the palm trees and a clear blue sky put her in a good mood...She didn't think this planet would be as pleasant once they got deeper in it, but she was looking forward to it regardless.

The work returning General Cross as well as the removal of the rebellion Admirals had apparently earned Ryujin a break from his Inquisitorius activities. Well at least from his active duties, his passive ones would never be over. ‘The Libary always needs more files’ Inquisitor Sarjin always said to him when he was training. Ryujin smiled at the thought of the old todger, long since passed from his plane an expedition into the Core gone wrong.

What was one to do on a ‘work break’? That was the question, just chill on Junction, go shopping on Lianna? He wasn’t really sure, that is when the comment about planet hopping had been raised at the mess hall one night, whilst he was blending into the Sith Order on Korriban. But where could he go, half the galaxy would kill him on sight and most of the rest was Sith aligned or pointless rocks in the void.

That’s when someone spoke about a rather unknown little word out in the Western Reaches of space, Rakata Prime. Like anyone who had read up on the Dark Side he knew a fair bit about the planet and its history. Why not, so he had tagged along as well as an alien Acolyte on the other Champion’s trip to the planet. They were going to carry out some geological surveys to see if an outpost could be established, which didn’t concern the Inquisitor as much as the mental relife which seemed to wash over him as he left the war behind him as the travelled south from Namadii and into the pitch blackness of the Unknown Regions.

The blue and green pearl that was the planet appeared before them from hyperspace, a lonely sight in the near empty solar system. Once the shuttle touched down, Kaleesh bolted from her seat and made quickly for the ramp and the planet below. The other champion was next and Ryujin followed up the rear, taking time to stretch out his limbs after being sat down for so long.

“I was expecting a desert, not sandy beaches and blue lagoons.” He replied to the Acolyte as he too took in the beautiful landscape they had found themselves in “Sorry I didn’t catch your name.” He asked as he moved further away from the ship past the women and to the shores of the lagoon, crouching down to place his hand in the surf.

The Kaleesh acolyte perked up a little bit after hearing Ryujin's voice, the beautiful landscape and blue horizon having put her in a bit of a trance for a moment "Me too...Specially since I was told unknown regions planets were supposed to be creepy and devoid of light." Anai said as she turned around, looking now deeper into the planet, squinting her eyes as if she was trying to find the creepy factor that she had heard of.

"Ah, right, um...My name's Anai Skhess, it's nice to meet you sir...champion? sir?" The Kaleesh stuttered as she looked at Ryujin, not knowing how to address him, some champions had thrown her down the stairs for not showing them proper respect as her superiors while others had laughed in response to being called things such as sir/ma'am, so to say she was confused and basically throwing a coin as if to decide how to address him was an understatement.

"I can't say I found much about this planet when researching it...Are we here to scout ahead for the empire?" The Kaleesh acolyte asked, not really knowing the details of their mission in here as a result of stealing another person's spot for it at the last minute, she did want to explore the galaxy, but exploring the unexplored seemed even more exciting, even if it was arguably much more dangerous.

The shores of the rich blue sea rolled up past the toe of his boot, he was tempted to strip down and jump in, he hadn’t experienced the thrill of rushing waves in over two years. The sound of the waves and the wind seemed to relax the Inquisitor, the stress of his daily job falling away with the tide. “Ryujin.” He replied, “No need for fancy titles.” Ryujin didn’t really care about is title and rank within the Sith Order hierarchy, it was his Inquisitorius powers that concerned him more so and well today he wasn't an Inquisitor.

Turning round to look at the young acolyte he pointed over to the other champion which had accompanied the pair here. “He is here to test the geology for a potential new base. I guess we are just his fancy bodyguards.” He was slowly pulling out more and more crates from the ship, all fancy gear. “I guess we should give him a hand before he bursts a vein.” The white Mattaki was already going red under the heat of Rakata’s Sun, to much more physical exhaustion might neuter the man’s brain before too long.

"Understood, Ryujin." Anai said, a bit relieved now that the champion was not that kind of sith...However, as he reminded her that there was another champion and he was actually the one leading the operation, Anai realized that the other one could still be that kind of sith "Do you know if that one prefers fancy titles...Or am I going to learn it the hard way?" the Kaleesh acolyte whispered, making sure the guy could not hear her just in case.

"N-nevermind, I'll go help him" Anai said before quickly making her way to the champion, looking at the crates and then at the champion struggling with them, she did not know what was there, having seen none of that stuff before she joined the sith empire and all of that, but she figured she needed to carry it carefully. And so, Anai started to move crates out of the ship, having much less trouble than the champion, being bigger than Ryujin and certainly stronger than this third champion, maybe she wouldn't need to expect him to treat her harshly, given how he would probably break something in his body without proper help.

As the pair began walking over towards the sweating Sith he turned to Anai, his voice hushed slightly. “In my experience most Sith love titles, so best to start and see what he says.” It was probably the most painful thing to deal with as an Inquisitor, Sith both Champions and Lord who thought they were above the Inquisitorius above the Empire, just because they were in the 1% of the Empire who were capable at swinging a flashy sword.

Anai was a physical specimen that was for sure, she easily moved crates that Ryujin struggled with. He could have used The Force to help him, but that was cheating and part of him was enjoying the physical exertion.

Quickly the work along with the beating sun had Ryujin in a sweat as much as the Mattaki, not shy the Inquisitor stripped off his upper layers letting his scarred skin breathe in the sea breeze. All of the components were being taken up the beach and away from the sea just encase the tides here were crazy.

It took about forty five minutes to completely move everything from the ship, up the shore and to the allocated locations for the Mattaki. Once he was done, Ryujin slumped back on one of the crates. “Think I might take a swim before we have a look around. What do you think?”
