I’ve found him!

Ieu opened his eyes and stood up, his joints were seized but after a bit of stretching he felt he could walk. He swiftly exited his chamber and walked past the nearest figure. “Guard ready a ship we are to head for Coruscant immediately.

The solider stood up suddenly as the appearance of Ieu has been very unexpected. “Sir Toginchi you have been successful it appears, but I have to deny to your request, since you have been in there Coruscant’s temple has been destroyed and is currently under reconstruction. Might I suggest we head for Ossus, where the council has currently taken residence.

What happened!?"

After a bried discussion with the guard and a council member over the comlink he decided it best to delay his search for his brother and head to Ossus to see if there was anything he could do to help.

Soon after arriving he noticed there seemed to be a lot of padawans running round and a quick investigation revealed to him that most of them were under the wing of a Nuka Methoataske. This made him think about taking on his own padawan and headed for the training area to see if this was possible.

Ke'von sat quietly on an old Jedi monument. The temple was busy and the young padawan watched as masters taught the old ways to their students. He couldn't help but feel out of place and a bit lonely. He had arrived on the planet only a few hours ago and had yet to meet anyone other than the Jedi Council and that was a brief once over to see if he was indeed ready to be trained.

He hadn't even had a chance to let them know of Liloon's fate. So here he sat, slowly levitating small stones, waiting for something, anything to happen.

"I know I'm ready. Just give me a chance." he spoke softly.

After being given permission to train his own padawan he asked that the council choose for him and went in search of a training room. When he came across a suitable one he sat himself on the floor in the center, began meditating and waited to see what kind of student the council would pick for him.

Soon a youngling approached Ke'von and informed him that a Knight had been found to train him.

Ke'von stood and followed the child through the temple. Ke'von couldn't help but feel overly excited. He looked around and saw the masters with their padawans and knew he would finally be joining in on the training process.

"Here we are." the young boy said.

Ke'von snapped back to reality. He bowed and thanked the child then turned and entered the training room.

Ieu stayed motionless and kept his eyes closed as he entered. "I was not expecting anyone so soon, come here boy, what is your name?"

He moved slowly forward. The man hardly acknowledged Ke'von's presence before speaking. Ke'von answered the question nervous with excitement. "K..K.. Ke'von Rambu, sir."

"You sound scared boy I hope this is not the case. If you are sacred of me then you will break down when facing an enemy. So I will say again, what is your name?"

"I'm not scared, sir. Just excited. My name is Ke'von Rambu. I've just arrived on the planet, you see, and I honestly thought I would be turned away because of my age. I've spent the last fourteen years trying to get here and start the formal training that my old master never had a chance to finish." he said solemnly.

"Better. Nice to meet you Ke'von, I am Ieu Toginchi. Your age should not be a problem, hopefully it means you will be more mature, but..." He paused to think over what the padawan had said. "You make it sound like you training was cut short. I do hope that you were not a problem for you previous master and therefore are going to be a problem for me! "

Ieu raised his arm, this the first time he had moved since Ke'von had entered the room and with it signalled for Ke'von to come over and sit in front of him on the floor." If we are finished with introductions then come here and take a seat." He then returned it to his lay and waited for Ke'von.

Ke'von walked around the Knight, and sat in front of him. He placed his hands in his lap, mimicking the Jedi, thinking that to truly learn what he needed, he would have to become his master's shadow.

"I wasn't a problem for Master Liloon in any way. I promise you. I was a young, scared, but very intrigued child. He helped me calm my spirits and we bonded very well. But we were ambushed by some of the Bogan. He fought them off so I could escape, and here I am. Hoping to become the Jedi he believed I could be." Ke'von said while staring into the other man's eyes.

Ieu was studying the padawans every movement, however he remained motionless with his eyes shut. "Master Liloon is an extremely competent trainer, albeit a bit slow, so why might I ask did he not continue with your training when he returned?"

Ke'von's voice cracked a bit as he formed the words, "He... never returned, sir. He was killed that night. I barely escaped myself."

"I.. I'm sorry to hear that." The tone of Ieu's voice changed completely and he opened his eyes. "Would you like to talk about..." Ieu cut himself off with a short sharp blast of energy directed right at Ke'von's chest.

The blast was quick, but not completely unexpected. Ke'von had been subconciously mirroring Ieu while they spoke. His body was ready to block it, but his mind wasn't.

The blast struck Ke'von's hand and tossed him back a few feet. He stood, walked back towards his master, and sat down again. "So the training starts?"

Ieu returned to his normal sitting position and closed his eyes again. "I could sense you were becoming emotional and used that to my advantage. Again I would like you to compare the situation to that of a darker one where the foe you are facing will not be so lenient. You must not allow your emotions to rule you. However you must not cut them off completely either, just make sure you can control them, for example."

He paused for a second. "Master Liloon was a good friend of mine and his loss means a lot to me, but now is the time for training, I will put aside some time later to think about him and then move on. There is nothing I can do for him now... What I am trying to say is always be aware of your emotions and postpone them until the time is right and be sure not to dwindle."

"And yes the training begins." Ieu suddenly rose to his feet. A dark blade shot to his hands and he pointed it in Ke'von's direction. "I will allow you time to clear your emotions as best you can and ready yourself, but only as it is your first lesson with me. Do you have your own lightsaber?"

Ke'von nodded and stood to match his master's gaze. "I will work on keeping control of my emotions master." he said, taking a few moments to clear his mind before continuing, "Liloon gave me this right before the attack. It was one he used many years ago when we first met. I will use it now." Ke'von ignited the lightsaber and a solid green beam emitted.

A single blade shot over towards Ke'von. "This I believe will be the closest training saber to the one you have in your hands. I would like you to try and hit me with it and I will not attack back, only defend myself. Is that clear boy?" Ieu then closed his eyes and prepared for an attack.

Ke'von nodded and moved a bit closer to his master before wildly swinging the training saber.

Ieu stepped to the side and interrupted Ke'von's blade during one of his wild strokes with his own blade. "Do you know what form you would like to learn?" He twisted his wrist slightly and forced Ke'von's blade upwards.

Ke'von stopped, letting the training saber fall to his side. He took a few moments to catch his breath before answering his master's question.

"Form IV: Ataru, Way of the Hawk-Bat, The Aggression Form." Ke'von finally managed to say. "It is the form Liloon used, and I wish to learn it myself, master."
