Knowledge is Power (Ke'von's Training)

Ieu also lowered his blade as well. "How much do you know on the form?"

 

[Khamari]

"Not too much, honestly." the padawan learner said. He moved his lightsaber to his right side and gripped the hilt with both hands.

"The opening stance," Ke'von continued before jumping and spinning in midair, "and jung su ma." he finished.

 

[Void]

The attack was a surprise and Ieu had to jump into action to deflect it. His move was crude but did the job of blocking the attack. "Hmm... I was not expecting that. Where did you learn that?"

 

[Khamari]

Ke'von relaxed and backed away from his master. "I studied Liloon as he praticed and fought. He used this style the most so I watched and began to pick up on some of the more basic movements."

 

[Void]

"Then it sounds like you have enough to begin. Try and hit me and I will of course try to deflect your attacks. You may begin." Ieu walked into the middle of the room and held out his blade, the cortosis reflecting the sunlight from outside.

 

[Khamari]

Ke'von nodded and followed his master until he too stood in the middle of the room. Across from him stood his master and Ke'von locked eyes with him, slowly moving his blade into the opening stance.

Without hesitation, Ke'von launched towards Ieu, spinning in midair, before swinging his blade down towards the jedi.

 

[Void]

Ieu placed his right leg back to brace himself and angled his blade to catch Ke'von's with a perfect angle of intersection. Ieu held the attack, the lightsaber buzzing with excitement.

 

[Khamari]

The two sabers connected and Ke'von stayed posed in the air for a second before quickly spinning the opposite direction, out of the saber lock, and launched a barrage of quick, powerful strikes.

 

[Void]

Ieu was slowly being forced back from the mass of attacks. As he approached the back wall he waited for Ke'von to shift his feet on to his right leg and then fired a small Force blast at it.

 

[Khamari]

The adrenaline was pumping, and Ke'von was starting to react without much thought. Though he didn't know it, the force was now guiding his movements. Ieu shot out a quick force blast and Ke'von cartwheeled out of it's way, landing a few feet on the side of his master.

The student dropped the saber, lifted his hands in front of his chest and fired a volley of force blasts in return. Without taking a breath, he force pulled his saber back into his hand and dashed back towards Ieu to continue fighting.

 

[Void]

"When in a fight never remove your hands from your saber unless completely necessary." He paused to block the incoming blasts. "If your opponent is stronger and/or more confident when using telekinesis than you are, they could easily disarm you."

 

[Khamari]

Ke'von let his arms fall slightly to his side. He stood for a second, watching his master easily despose of his attack, and listening intently to what was said.

The padawan felt a bit winded, he hadn't dont any rigorous activity in many years. He took a moment to catch his breath before letting out a weak, "Yes, master."

 

[Void]

"I think we should stop there. I would like you to go to the library and read up on Ataru. Then spend as long as you feel you need to with the training droids, before finally coming back here where we shall spar again." Ieu stood up straight and quickly brushed himself down. "Do you have any further questions boy?"

 

[Khamari]

Ke'von stood and approached his master.

"Yes. I want to know what I should do to honor Liloon's memory?"
