DESCRIPTION

Koil is often a man with few words to say. However he does greatly enjoy music and so first purchased one for personal use. But he came to the idea to have three of the PEAs for surround sound and better quality experience. He personalized them and even gave them names, something he usually does not do with his equipment. From left to right with the pictures above it goes Bikadinir, Chekar and Kalikir. All of the PEAs names are verbs for stab and so he will simply call them collectively 'Stereo' or 'Troupe'.
Often he uses their holograms, light show capability and music to provide him with intimidating theme music, distractions, lighting or other useful purposes in the field. Plus on the rare occasion that things break out into direct over violence nothing pumps up a soldier like some blasting high BPM music.

A lot of people think of astromechs and protocol droids when they hear the term 'droid' but as of recent years smaller and far cheaper mechanical creations have been produced. The PEA or Personal Entertainment Attendant is sometimes called the PED (Exchanging attendant with Droid in the abbreviation). Whatever you may call it, it is the shining example of the new age of droid technology, social status and individuality.
Far less complex than an astromech these are seen more regularly with the galaxy's youth and members of entertainment. They come in a variety of 'skins' encouraging their owners to customize them and make them personal for their own style. The base shell for the PEA is impact resistant meaning that it won't be damaged on most accidental collisions but intentional and high impact strikes or damage will easily result in irreparable damage. However they are cheap and usually come with a warranty so replacing them is not too difficult.
No larger than a ball for sports they hover within a meter's distance of their owner. They can play music from a tethered data-pad or device. Some people connect several of them to have as a sound system around them. This is common with street performers to make their music more enthralling though a high number of teens will blast music of unsavory levels on public transportation.
The PEA has also two other functions. It can project holograms transmitted from a paired device but are incapable of communicating completely on their own. They are essentially an accessory or speaker system to an existing device. These holograms can be communication based or stored on a paired device but cannot be stored on the PEA itself due to its small size and limited processing and storage.
The last function is its ability to display a limited light show. This is not intense or bright but is more like mood light to pulse and vibe with the music playing. DJs and party hosts can set the PEA to a stationary position to strobe and display lighting with whatever music and sounds cross its receptors.
Due to their simple design they are quite cheap and affordable. They however are not advanced and barely considered droids. Over time they do seem to suffer from the same downfalls of not being wiped. They possess a very limited droid brain that allows them to process all of their functions. This becomes akin to a familiar pet to their owners over time but a regular wipe tends to keep them in shape. Incapable of speech the PEA will develop other methods of communicating their artificial feelings either by playing notes from their owner's favorite song or displaying some lighting affects.
The repulsors of the PEA is very limited like every thing else on it. They can support their own weight but that is it. The traversal time of their speed is akin to that over the average humanoids running speed so it can just keep up with whomever owns them but tend to trail behind.
LEGALITY
Legal though noise complaints and disturbing the peace by playing garbage music and annoying your fellow galactic citizens may have their own consequences.INTENT
I wanted to creat a droid that's sole purpose is really to just follow my character around so he can have theme music around. I figured a little 'cute' pet like droid was good and allowing it to add flavor to the cultural side of the galaxy since we don't see a lot of 'civilian' based items.ADVANCED TECH
NO. These are less advanced than most other droids that are not advanced tech. Common with civilians they do not require a thread or plot to acquire.
