Twi__lek_Male_by_artbytravis.jpg

(A young Korl, having just escaped slavery)
NAME: Korl Faren
FACTION: None
SPECIES: Twi'lek
AGE: 32
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6' 3"
WEIGHT: 190 lbs
EYES: Deep purple
HAIR: None
SKIN: Pale Green
CREDITS: 1000
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Numerous scars on his back from repeated lashings.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Not to his knowledge

STRENGTH: Korl possesses an above average physique.
DEXTERITY: Above average.
CONSTITUTION: Below average. He can last a bar fight, but gets tired in extended battles. His alcohol and deathstick use are the cause of this.
INTELLIGENCE: Average. Somewhat mentally unstable.
WISDOM: Very intuitive, but prone to anger
CHARISMA: Charming when he makes a point of it, and physically attractive.

SKILLS:
Korl Faren is an expert criminal. He is very good with a blaster pistol and has a knack for improvised weaponry.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Korl is a cunning and inventive criminal, and will almost never betray one of his allies. Though he has little regard for the law, he absolutely despises slavery. Korl is somewhat of an alcoholic, and also very much enjoys smoking, which does not aide his physical health. A native Rylothian physique and regular exercise granted to him by his lifestyle help a little, but don't fully make up for it.

GEAR:
Korl wears a long black overcoat, and keeps two blasters in shoulder holsters. A pack of death sticks or a cigars always line his breast pocket. He also keeps on a small tool belt his datapad, a few computer interface adapters and spare ammunition.

SHIP:
Korl owns a small Corellian freighter which he uses for smuggling operations and to take him from job to job. He's yet to arm it with anything military-grade, so everything minus the contents of the ship is legal. The ship itself is a dark grey color with dark green markings around the fuselage. Rather linear in design, it has a large ventral cargo hatch. Towards the front of the ship are Korl's personal quarters, two small crew bunks, a mess room and a medical bay. These are all relatively small, meant for a crew of ten or so, but Korl is the only inhabitant currently. He's no expert mechanic, but he can keep the ship in fine repair and get the most out of worn parts.

PETS:
Korl once stole what he thought was a maintenance droid from a rich family, only to later find out it was some sort of entertainment droid for the kids. Korl has only wiped it's memory once, so it has developed some programming quirks.

PERSONALITY:
Korl is somewhat of an enigma to others and himself. He's just as likely to have a good joking conversation in the cantina as he is to become drunk and provocative. He is rather distrusting of authority. Because of the Hutt's usage of slavery and the Republic's lack of interest in anti-slaving activism, he feels that nobody really cares about him, and that he alone must look out for his own wellbeing. While he will usually make good on a job he's hired for, he trusts no one.

HISTORY:
Korl was born on Ryloth, the native planet of the Twi'lek people. When he was still a youth he was captured by slavers, as is very common for the Twi'lek people. Being an attractive and somewhat androgynous male made him a high priced slave, since so many beautiful Twi'lek girls were on the market, and the majority of males tended towards obesity and ugliness. Korl was the prized "exotic" servant of a wealthy businessman on Thyferra. He endured many beatings and lashings at the hands of his owner, who found himself frustrated and single. Often when a young woman would ogle the hardly dressed Korl, the man would become furious and lock him up for days.

Eventually Korl reached physical maturity, and his mind turned towards escape. The wealthy bacta salesman one day ordered a hot caff, and when Korl neared the man he threw it in his face, scalding and blinding him. It was morning and the security guards were changing shifts, so he had a head start. He ran to the kitchen, tucked a knife into his belt and crouched behind one food prep counter. When the on-duty security guard came rushing in, blaster in hand, Korl grabbed a bottle of cooking oil. Breaking the neck of the bottle, he ignited it on a lit stove and threw it with all his might at the chest of the security guard. Shards imbedded themselves into his uniform and flaming oil splattered all over his body. As he thrashed to try and extinguish himself, Korl leaped over the table and buried the knife deep in his chest.

Arming himself with the blaster, he was able to to make a run for it. He stole a speeder and escaped the estate to the capitol before most of the city had woken up. The police investigated the murders, but when they heard a slave was missing they dropped the case. The next few years of his life Korl spent working for whoever could pay... adrift, nihilistic and dangerous.

Looks pretty good.

Just so you know, (It's not in the stickies so I wouldn't expect you to know it) my Hutt runs Ryloth and more or less systematically collects breeding age females. Male twi'leks are forbidden from leaving as to avoid creating a breeding pool outside of Ryloth.

This should be able to explain any questions you might have if you were to revisit Ryloth or comment on your character's past. Mostly the last few sections would apply.

That sounds very, very restrictive for people making Twi'lek characters. Were you given permission for that? Even then, I doubt anyone would be able to do that for every person on the planet.

Since I made him for the Grand Council in control of one of the Hutt planets, I assumed I'd be able to play around with the planet as needed. (Within the realm of reason) But I suppose there probably are some spots on the planet outside of any firm control.
