It was the middle of the day on the Sith world of Korriban. The sun sat high in the sky, beating down upon the red, rocky surface of the planet mercilessly. The air itself seemed to shimmer with the heat, unable to withstand the harsh gaze of the sun without losing its integrity. In the distance stood the temple, claiming the lives of the unworthy even now, as two contestants made their way to the battle location and prepared to fight until one was victorious over the other. Rocky outcroppings rose all around, forming a natural arena of sorts. Paving the ground of the makeshift arena were rocks, most of which were little more than pebbles. One, however, stood above all the rest. It stood at waist height and made up the centre point of the rocky, uneven fighting ground, serving as a focal point for the bout.

Two combatants stood on opposite sides of the arena, rock outcroppings rising around them in every direction. Both combatants were members of the Lords of the Sith. The first, Uhrsek Tabashk, was known as the Red Sith by many. The other, Invidia Aisa, was also known by many, but for much different reasons. Regardless of their experience; regardless of their place in the Brotherhood, upon this field they were equals, and before the day was done one would emerge victorious, while the other would emerge much worse for wear, but alive, even if they were lacking a limb or two.

Korriban, the red beating heart of the Sith Brotherhood, was the cradle of Uhrsek's people and the world where he had been born. He felt it...the resonant power found within this world; yet it was but a thimble compared to the dead twin she shared her skies with. Glancing up at the sanguine sky, Uhrsek could see the ever-looming form of Moraband; it was said that if one were to look close enough from the surface of Korriban, one could catch a glimpse of the necropoli that dotted the silent world's surface. As much as he wanted to test that theory, the Red Sith had more important matters to attend to.

Stood across his position within the arena was a woman, his opponent for the coming battle. Uhrsek locked his single, glowing eye up on her, watching her very carefully. This Invidia Aisa will know what it is to face one such as the Red Sith. Drawing the lightsaber from his belt, he didn't activate it; all the Sith did was wait, assessing the being before him, waiting for the first move...assuming Invidia were to make it.

Kriff, she hated this planet. It was just so unspeakably mindbogglingly unnecessarily obscenely infinitely boring. The people here were about as dull as the dead ones and the dead ones wouldn't shut the kriff up. Always babbling on about their infinite power and immortality. Once, Invidia had visited one of these old forgotten tombs and chatted up some ancient Sithie ghost. Twenty excruciatingly lame minutes later, the crazed woman had blown up half of the tomb and generally defaced the rest of it with spraypaint and glitter. Some said that no one had ever heard from the Sithie spirit again, but he could have just moved. Who knew? Who cared?

Speaking of caring, the only thing Invidia could care about right now was this duel the Dark MegaLeader Lady had verbally coerced her into doing. The basis of said coercion was, for the most part, that it would be fun. Thus far, Big Scary NerfTaco Supreme was proving to be a Huge Ugly Lying Schutta. Her opponent was one of those overly-serious types with a weird eye. On second glance, she noted that his other eye was gone. Setting down her "briefcase", the "goddess" quickly checked her backpack and ensured that everything, especially the explosives, was safe'd/boring'd for now. Her pistols were tucked in their holsters along her chest and the lightsabers on her belt.

"Hey Larry! My name's Darth Lord UltraCool."

Why did she call him Larry? Why not?

Picking up the "briefcase", she quickly unlatched the breech and hefted it onto her shoulder. The POW searched for someone to express itself to and quickly found the only one in view.

"Auto-pilot disabled."

Uhrsek watched the strange being before him, he noted the weapons she carried and came to one conclusion; this will be...interesting. Her case no doubt carried something dangerous...and possibly unwieldy. Truly, she confirmed her bizarre nature when she referred to him as "Larry" and herself as "Darth Ultracool". The Red Sith continued to watch as Invidia opened her briefcase and revealed the weapon within; a rocket launcher of sorts. Did she think that attempting to blow him up would guarantee her an easy victory? Such a notion caused anger to rise within Uhrsek; he would teach this fool that technology was no easy ticket to victory, and a harsh lesson it would be. In this, he spoke briefly, his electronic tone betraying nothing of himself or his thoughts.

"Truly then, you shall be 'cool'...if I put you in your grave"

The Red Sith then proceeded to ignite his lightsaber as he heard the weapon speak, no doubt she was quickly aiming at him. Yet Uhrsek waited, his rage tempered by his patience and determination to succeed. Easing himself into a stance, he maintained his vigil.

Invidia cocked her head to one side and shook it with a light laugh.

"Silly Poor Depth Perception Perry, we're gonna have to work on your Sith-talk, buddy."

For a half moment, she thought about pulling the trigger but that just didn't feel fair. Far too easy. Far too boring. So she decided to force the do-nothing dork into action. How? By simply drawing a pistol with her left hand (while still holding the POW up with her right by balancing it on her shoulder) and shooting at him. After firing three times, she watched with delight The pistol's pellets exploded into a cloud of deadly fleshees....machetes....whatever a few meters from their target.

"Auto-pilot disabled."

"Well Vicky, that would simply be too easy!", the crazed woman answered as she emptied the rest of the pistol's eight-pellet clip at her colleague.

He could see it from her gestures; she contemplated blasting the Red Sith with her explosive weapon, instead she would so something else. It seemed she had another weapon in mind, something with far less collateral damage potential; Invidia instead proceeded to draw another weapon, something Uhrsek witnessed. Estimating this one's demented love of damage to as many things as possible and suspecting that there was more to this pistol then meets the eye, the Red Sith leaped to the left side of his opponent, far away from where she was aiming at. The Sith kept himself moving far away from her shots which he rightly suspected to be explosive...and he was right. The bullets exploded, revealing the flechettes that they contained within, in that instance he sensed an opportunity. Just as the last few exploded, Uhrsek thrust his hand forward and from it, the Force surged forward. Catching the freshly-exploded flechettes, the Push catapulted them backwards to Invidia; further seizing the opportunity, Uhrsek followed their trajectory, lightsaber poised readily to begin the kill.

Well, it was impressive. Reversing every projectile's inertia? It was, admittedly, pretty cool. The only part the one-eyed Sith had miscalculated on was the amount of power required to cause a complete and total reversal. Instead of rushing back to Invidia with enough force to kill or maim her, the flechettes flew only a couple of feet before falling like metallic rain. Normally, this would have made Invidia giggle, but she was too distracted by the Sith opposing her. Then she thought of a funny thing. Pointing her massive weapon at it while dropping the spent pistol, she let Vicky give her a range.

"Auto-pilot disabled."

"Awesome, Vicky."

The proton torpedo left the tube and exploded violently against the rock...exactly 10.5 meters away. Since the enemy Sith was following the trajectory of her bullets, he be well within the 10m explosion radius.

Invidia laughed and dropped her spent weapon.

Already having an inkling at what this madwoman would do, Uhrsek quickened his charging pace, drawing upon his impressive speed. As he drew closer, he could hear the lunatic's device 'speak'; no sooner had it done so, its payload had emptied. Determined to get as far ahead of the blast radius as possible, a potent cocktail of adrenaline and rage spurred the Red Sith on, his natural movements quickened. Finally, the torpedo exploded....and Uhrsek used the blast's own force to catapult himself forward out of the blast radius.

Projected forward, he was rapidly getting within rage; tearing his khopesh from its scabbard, he began a rapid mid-air spin, arms crossed with blades 90 degrees in their respective opposite directions; with this deadly spin, his opponent would be forced on the defensive...or face a few disabling cuts both burning and bloody.
