Léon was born on the lower levels of Coruscant to a very traditional and rigid family. He was hardly the model child growing up, and often rebelled against his parents, resorting to the partying and reckless lifestyle of his fellow friends. However, that all went to fodder when his fiance got killed in a swoop race that he had brought her to. Life sort of stopped to nothing there, and he contemplated suicide on multiple occasions.
Then he enlisted in the RJF, specifically choosing to become a medic. His bravery and motivation was regarded as some of the best in his unit, and then he was transferred to the CBRN unit as per (now) Lieutenant Landis' request. There he was retrained and has stayed ever since, denying promotions in favor of sticking with the only real friend he could ever find. And here he is now, five years later. He sends money to the family of his fiance as a way to perhaps repay the debt he owes.
His confrontational nature comes out all the time when he is with Doctor Landis, seemingly they get along but with some kind of odd rivalry.
