Government: The Government on Lakhisis is divided into two groups: The Knights of the Last Guard, and The Order of the Dragon, both with different government types. The Knights of the Last Guard has a feudal-like government with a Magister at its head while Warlords hold castles and keeps with Champions fighting under them in battle. While The Order of the Dragon has a theocratic government where a council of Dragon Priests report directly to their God, a Dragon, in order to make decisions, while Dragon Lords, who report directly to the Dragon Priests, hold castles and keeps with Dragon Warriors fighting under them in battle.

Culture: As with the Government on Lakhisis, the moon's culture is also divided into the same two groups, both with distinct cultural views. Overall however, most of the inhabitants of Lakhisis are unaware of outside events, even from inside the system, as they remain isolated from mostly everything. Both also worship, in a sense, Dragons, holding them highly revered in their societies. The culture is also divided for the dragons, between two clans: Lumen and Nox.

The Knights of the Last Guard
The smaller force on the moon of Lakhisis, the Knights of the Last Guard's culture is heavily influenced by legends and stories. Their own name originating from the Legend of the Last Guard who held his ground against hostile Dragon Warriors while civilians and children escaped. As said before, they also hold a high reverence for Dragons, though they aren't as fanatical as those of the Order of the Dragon who utterly worship them. Instead of worshiping the dragons per-say, they helped the dragons in some ways and let the dragons help them in other ways. Thus every Warlord (Noble) family would build holds and keeps near their Patron Dragon's lair, in order to protect it from attack.

Also while holding reverence for all Dragons, the Knights of the Last Guard officially follow the Lumen Dragon clan, who are the more wise and calm of the two major clans. Thus resulting in the Knights adopting some of their culture, which means that they are studious and wise, but are also efficient in war and combat. They also have a "lighter" force essence meaning that they were not corrupted by the Dark Side unlike the Order of the Dragon. Due to this, the holdings owned by the Knights are among the last light-side areas on the moon. They know of this as well, since the Lumen Clan informed them of the Force and its many uses, developing overtime the trait that all those who are Knights being Force Sensitive, while the most prominent force users being called magicians.

As far as war goes, they prefer using heavy armor and swords imbued in the force by their magicians in combat rather than other weapons. They also have great disdain of unnatural beings, such as sith spawn, considering them enemies of the very essence of nature. Thus they are hostile towards anyone that makes use of such practices, immediately considering them apart of the Order of the Dragons, their nemesis. Also, due to their hostility towards the Order of the Dragon which is mostly made of Sith Purebloods, the Knights of the Last Guard are almost exclusively made of Dracami, making them apt force users.

When it comes to peace, Knights spend their time singing and dancing, along with enjoying the arts. Thus they hold grand feasts, especially after a great victory with the help of their Dragon Companions. In these parties, only the finest of food and drink is served, while the most beautiful maidens dance and sing. Other activities the Knights enjoy during peace time are tournaments of melee skill and monster hunting.

The Order of the Dragon
The much larger rival of the Knights of the Last Guard, The Order of the Dragon, holds most of the land on Lakhisis. They are the worshipers and followers of the almighty dragons, hence their name, and hold the Dragons in great esteem, even more than the Knights. This has led to the Dragon Cultists, as they are called, to become enslaved by the dragons, at least those of the Nox Clan who came and assisted the Cultists, but not before influencing them towards servitude. This unholy agreement however, did not come without cost for at the time most of the cultists were Sith, powerful in the dark-side resulting in them corrupting everything around them.

Thus what once was the noble rival of the Lumen Clan, became distorted and manipulated Dark Side, they became more aggressive than their brethren, as well as more manipulating, and envious of the Lumen Clan. Driven by the dark-side they began to corrupt the rest of the moon by using the assistance of the Order who followed their overlords fanatically. Thus, slowly, most of Lakhisis was corrupted by dark-side except for the land that was under Knight control. This, of course, eventually led to a growing hate for the Knights by the Order who wanted continue their master's quest of completely corrupting the planet to the Dark-side.

Realizing that war was near at hand, the leaders of the Nox Clan began re-teaching the Force to Cultists showing them how to incarnate the monsters of their nightmares, due to their dark-side alignment, as well as other powerful and destructive powers. Armed with this knowledge the Order created its massive army, full of un-dead and Dragon Warriors with Dragon Lords at the head of each army and keep, that could replenish its forces to full strength in days. Due to this unorthodox army, however, they lacked the skill and armaments of the Knights. Still it also resulted in a mix of infantry, cavalry, archer, and monster units thus giving them a tactical advantage over their rivals, as well as a numerical one.

In order to bide their time between battles and fights, those of the Order enjoy gladiatorial fights, due to their ancestry which was originally Sith Pureblood, but eventually Dracami also enter the mix, corrupted and swayed by the dark-side. In these gladiatorial fights the Cultists pit each other's monsters against one another, or put prisoners against themselves, offering freedom that they will never receive. After these gladiatorial fights, those of the Order enjoy grand feasts, savoring meat and drink brought before them by minions of their own design.

The Dragon Clan of Lumen
At one time the biggest and most powerful Dragon Clan on the moon of Lakhisis, the Lumen Clan has since lost that status. Still they remain a noble clan, one that is loosely aligned with the light-side of the force, and produce some of the best force using dragons of all the clans, with exception of those from Kanein. The reason fell from power was due to the Corruption Wars where they decided to take an active role in the last battle, the Battle of Last Breath, between the Order and the Knights. During this battle they were met by their rivals, the Nox Clan and received heavy casualties, just as the Knights did. Still through willpower and determination they were able to beat back the opposing force and thus prevent the moon from falling completely into the Nox Clan hands.

Since then most of the surviving Dragons have been in hiding, in select caves near Knights of the Last Guard holdings, so that they can protect each other. Still even though the clan has long since abandoned their active role in the conflict between the Order and the Knights due to their losses, they will intervene if the need is great and the cause is dire. Though they prefer using lesser dragons to fight their battles for them, since they rather take and advisory role than an active one after the Battle of the Last Breath.

In their lairs they enjoy the company of silence as they are not the jubilant dragons they once were, abandoning that stature long ago. They no longer enjoy festivities, nor do they enjoy divulging themselves in more food than they need. They still, however, enjoy communicating with one another, engaging in long talks that could last months on end. In battle, however, they are to be feared for their fire burns the brightest, their claws are the sharpest, and their tails are the strongest. They come upon enemies like a hawk on prey, slashing and biting at them until they are defeated.

The Dragon Clan of Nox
The reigning clan on Lakhisis, replacing the Lumen Clan, is the Nox Dragon Clan. This momentous change happened during the Corruption Wars, where the dragons of the Nox Clan were corrupted and manipulated by the dark-side, making them highly aggressive and forcing them to adopt an expansionist policy, thus the reason the Corruption Wars began. Throughout the war they played an active role in defeating the Knights over and over again, only being stopped at the Battle of Ultimus and the Battle of Last Breath. This was mostly due to the Nox Clan vastly outnumbering the Lumen Clan, and, at the time, being equals in battle.

After the Corruption Wars, the Nox Clan assumed the mantle of High Clan of Lakhisis and ruled over most of the moon, corrupting their holdings with the dark-side as they themselves had been corrupted. Now, however, they do not fight as much as they used to, but the younger dragons still have fire in their hearts to fight alongside lesser dragon-like creatures and the Order. Still, just like the Lumen Clan, the Grand Dragons will join a fight that is crucial to their cause.

Unlike Lumen Dragons, however, Nox Dragons do not live measly caves instead they prefer to live in massive temples or throne rooms built by the Order for them. They also like living in dungeons that are full of gold and wealth that remind them on how powerful and rich they are. Power is something they crave and adore which is why they protect the Order, who worships the dragons like gods, and why they prefer that visitors bring tribute to them before speaking their mind.

Technology: The Technology on Lakhisis is rather primitive when compared to the rest of the galaxy. They do not have spacefaring technology, nor do they have laser based weapons, nor any computers. The don't even have droids, that are present on other moons due to them being servants of the dragons, since the two dragon clans on Lakhisis don't like them as much as organics who they deem superior. Instead the inhabitants on Lakhisis use what they have, building castles of stone and marble, homes of wood, weapons of durasteel. For knowledge they rely on the people who are more aligned with the Force who look through the Force to solve problems.

Satellites: Lakhisis is a moon of Gygax.

History: Even though the history of Lakhisis goes back millions of years, the beginning of known history starts in 5,000 BBY with the Arrival.

The Arrival
In 5,000 BBY, a Sith Ship was sent fleeing into the Gygax system, but it was unable to navigate it and soon crashed in the nearby Garyx moon. Along with it was a pursuing Republic ship which was also unable to navigate the system appropriately, resulting in it being sent crashing into Lakhisis due to it being sent of course. As a result of the crash landing, most of the crew died, and those that survived were unable to salvage much equipment outside of a few books of legends and myths, they were sure to die in this condition. Luckily for them, one of the native Dragon Clans, the Lumen, were kind and wise, they came and assisted the survivors, teaching them how to live off the land. This was the utter beginnings of the Knights of the Last Guard, even though they were not known as such at that time.

The Refugees
For several hundred years, the survivors of the original crash and their descendants, lived a relatively peaceful life. By then they had built great keeps and had learned how to craft armor and weapons using the iron provided to them by the land and the knowledge gained by their Dragon friends. Still, things were not always destined to be peaceful and soon enough Sith Purebloods arrived on the planet. This opened up the opportunity for the Lumen Clan's rival, the Nox Clan for servants and quickly the Nox Clan grabbed the Purebloods, making them worship Dragons as Gods to be revered and served, not knowing of the consequences that would result due to their actions.

The Corruption War
Four thousand years then passed after the arrival of the refugees, and by now many changes have taken place. No longer were the descendants of the survivors inherently human, instead they had been morphed into a near-human species that was able to befriend the dragons easier, called the Dracami. Meanwhile the Nox Clan, and their followers, the Order of the Dragon, had slowly been corrupted to the dark side ever since the arrival of the Sith Purebloods. This corruption led to the pair becoming aggressive and expansionist, and where once the planet of Lakhisis was peacefully divided between the Purebloods and the Dracami, now it was threatened with war due to the Order's violent nature. Slowly they began attacking Dracami settlement one after another with the help of their Dragon Overlords, until eventually they were stopped at Ultimus by a man only known as the Last Guard and his men.

It was this man who eventually led to the uniting of the remaining Dracami settlements, resulting in the establishment of the Knights of the Last Guard. With this new organization, the Dracami were able to hold off the aggressive Order, which was now made up of Purebloods and corrupted Dracami. Still, despite their efforts, the Dracami lost many of their old settlements and were now left with a few sparse holdings throughout Lakhisis, but even then the Knights stood strong with their advanced weaponry and skill. Thus they brought an end to the Corruption War by holding off the Order long enough, forcing them to stand down.

The Threat of Peace
A thousand more years passed with little of relative note, except that now the areas that the Order inhabited were corrupted and twisted by the dark-side. The only remaining light-aligned areas were controlled by the Knights, who defiantly protected their lands from the corruption. This has led to renewing hostilities between them and the Order, that will surely eventually lead to a renewed war between the factions.

Notable PCs:
None yet

Intent: To be a unique environment and setting to rp in as an indie, as something different than your standard blaster wielding, lightsaber flinging character, before the eventual colonization of the planet by the Chiss Ascendancy through a unique and fun story arc.

I haven't commented on this yet because I'm not entirely sure if it's finished or not yet.

Alright, then it's currently tenuously approved as a setting. If you want the group to move off-world you'll have to set them up as an indie faction or something though.

Does that mean the species is approved as well, or are you still going over that?
