Biography
As a slave on Sorroco, Lancer never knew his parents. His parents were dead for as long as he could remember, not that he could remember much, except for pain and chains. For 15 years, he lived with those two words day after day, until the uprising. Hundreds of slaves revolted at once, allowing Lancer to slip away on a ship in the chaos.
On Nal Hutta, Lancer still needed to survive, so he turned to a life of crime. Theft became second nature to him, sometimes not even noticing he lifted a ring or datapad. But he soon became board with petty theft, and moved up to long cons and planned heists. This was different, the planning was new and the pay was more, but the rush, the rush was his favorite part.
Personality
As a con man and thief, he is often confronted by various types of enemies, a prospect that doesn't always deter him. The dangers of his work are part of why Lancer is drawn to it, typical of an adrenaline junkie. As a result, he has a callous and somewhat sadistic disregard for his adversaries and kills without remorse, albeit in self-defense.
However, he is against cold-blooded executions and killing defenseless enemies, sometimes offering his help to them after their defeat. Lancer is extremely loyal to his friends, as he risks his life on multiple occasions just to help them. He has a slight phobia of commitment; though willing to get close to others, he may eventually distance himself if he feels they have become too close.
