OOC: This is a flashback scene that has already been agreed upon by all parties involved

Tatooine was a dust ball, but it was by far possibly the best place to make back room deals involving illicit dealings and information, information was always for sale, and Jack had information to sell, he was supposed to be meeting with an agent from the Galactic Alliance, someone who would possibly be interested in buying what Jack had to offer.

Jack Kincaid Soldier, Smuggler, Marshal, Agent.....Outlaw that's what he truly was an outlaw he lived on the fringe and did what ever was needed to both survive and to complete the job before him.

Jack sat in a private room in the Starry Night, at one point it had been a Luxury Liner, but it crashed to the planet and the city of Mos Tena sprang up around it, now it was a Cantina, Casino and brothel all in one, he sat at his private table watching the blue skinned twi'lek dancing on the table, not all aliens were bad, twi'lek's were at least tolerable, he was tapping the data cube held in his hands on the table gently, he didn't want to break it, his Bottle of Fizzy Cola was almost empty and his Whiskey hadn't been touched yet. Signaling the waitress to bring another Fizzy Cola to him, she came over placing the bottle on the table.

The agent, a Duros, finally showed up and sat down across from Jack.
"Kincaid?" It asked in it's native tongue which was translated for Jack because of the Nanites in his system, He simply nodded.
"The price is simple, 1 million credits, cash up front, and trust me you want what I have." jack flashed a grin as he popped the bottle top and took a swig.
"That is alot of money to be asking for, alleged information that won't even guarantee an alliance, what assurance do we have that you won't stab us in the back and in turn sell this information to the Empire." the Duros continued speaking in it's native tongue, a harsh language Jack found offensive, hell he found the alien across from him offensive.
"It's simple eye ball, I took the information from the empire, if I wanted to sell it to them I wouldn't have snagged it in the first place, now do we have a deal or is the galactic Alliance just wasting my time like they always do?" Jack spat back, he had risked his neck for this cube and the footage that was on it, and now this alien scum was giving him the run around.

The duros shook his head and stood up.
"No deal Kincaid, you're a wanted man, and any deal we make with you is likely to turn sour for us, so sorry, but go peddle your wares elsewhere, the Galactic Alliance will not buy from you." Jack almost drew down on the red eyed bastard as he turned and walked out instead he through his empty bottle against the wall allowing it to smash into pieces, the Dancer had ignored the conversation and just kept dancing.

Jaxon Nix was a bounty hunter by trade, but he was always on the lookout for a good deal, whether it be a hunt or any other opportunity to earn a few extra credits. Eavesdropping on conversations between patrons in the Starry Night was one of the best ways to seek out both and his helmet audio enhancers made it all the easier. This time, listening in to a brief exchange between a Duros and a Human man whose outward appearance suggested he was some sort of warrior, smuggler, jack-of-all-trades type, Jaxon's learned ears picked up on a number of words that immediatly got his full attention.

One million credits. Took the information from the Empire. You're a wanted man.

The rest was almost lost on Jaxon. He wasn't sure what it was all about, but he knew it had to be important. One mil for information stolen from the Empire? Osik...

Jaxon left the shadows of the alcove where he had been standing and moved closer to intercept the smuggler turned infochant, his curiousity piqued. If this information didn't earn him a big payday, it might be useful to his people, so a little more investigation was in order. Careful to keep his distance and remain out of sight, he skirted the lounge area and made his way to the exit. As soon as this smuggler moved to leave, Jaxon would step out and ask his questions. He didn't plan on allowing the smuggler to leave without answers. Besides, if it turned out to be a scam like the Duros had said, he could always see if the man really did have a bounty on his head. It was a win/win situation.

Jack sat back down at his table, and leaned back watching the Dancer, it was hard to make an honest living this day and age, what with the Empire cracking down on the smuggling rings, and tightening security every step of the way.
"Frak! What's a guy gotta steal to make a few credits around this galaxy,oh well, on to plan B." Jack finished his whiskey, and headed for the exit his Fizzy Cola in hand, his .666 Hellfire Revolver on his hip, Marshal's badge clipped to his belt, the Data Cube he pocketed as he made his way to the exit, he'd try another contaqct on another planet, if the GA didn't want this footage someone might, possibly the Mando's but they had left their homeworld, Jack had seen the planet first hand, he did have a Mando contact in the exchange, but he had never actually contacted the man in person.

Jaxon rounded the nearest corner and raised his heavy blaster in one fluid motion, leveling it at the smuggler's forehead.

"Hello, friend... you and I need to have a little chat." Jaxon hissed, eyeing the man closely, "How about you take your hand off that pretty revolver of yours and we'll find ourselves someplace a bit more private? You answer my questions, I like what I hear, and you may very well have stumbled upon a buyer for whatever it is you stole from the Imperium. The alternative... well, let's not go there just yet."

He had no intention of killing the man, but he wasn't about to take any chances, especially with someone who had balls enough to steal from the Sith.

Jack smiled, this had proven to be a worthwhile trip after all, he nodded in agreement to the man who had the balls to aim a blaster at him, slipping his hand off his revolver he turned and headed back to his private room he had just been in, sitting back down he tipped the dancer who continued dancing, no reason to not have some entertainment.
"You're ballsy friend I'll give you that."

Jaxon lowered the blaster slowly, but kept it at his side, at the ready. He followed the smuggler into a back room, on the look out for any sort of treachery. Even so, he figured they were both speaking the same language now. The inter-species language that was credits. The situation had gone from a stickup to a business deal in less than ten seconds and if the man's tone was to be believed, he held no grudges.

"Lay it to me." Jaxon finally intoned, standing just behind his chair, "And maybe we can come to an arrangement."

Jack liked this mercenary perhaps he could be useful, Jack placed the Data cube on the table and sat back.
"I was trying to get this into the hands of the GA or some other government, it'd help in the war effort against the Sith."
Jack chuckled slightly as he thought about the last few weeks of his life.
"Of course the GA doesn't want to buy it from me, so I was going to find someone who would."
