A strong and willful individual, Leah is a polarizing figure among her fellows. A natural sense of justice born from an early age pushes her to do all the good she can, to help the people in the galaxy to the best of her ability, and to push back the darkness where she finds it. This sense of justice has led her to be viewed as a maverick of sorts and while many like her -in spite of her somewhat private nature- others view her as a dangerous inevitability, who disregards the rules or bends them as she sees fit. In truth Leah can understand their view, but she does not share it, as she would rather bend a rule and save lives than abide by it and be damned. With this in mind its not hard to imagine she is extraordinarily unapologetic about such matters- which she most certainly is. There is a certain satisfaction for Leah however to know that while her peers may have mixed views of her, she still made lives better, and that's what matters.

This behavior stems from her time on Hoth, which shaped her into the Jedi she is today. Most her life was spent on that frozen world, training under the tutelage of a Kiffar Jedi Knight, who had imposed exile upon himself to that dead planet decades ago... and who saved her and her sister. She owed him much, and grew to love and respect him dearly, and in turn becoming like a Daughter to him. He gave her a home, a new family, and many lessons, not just in the Force, but also in her approach to the Universe and the people within it. To her Master the Galaxy was ill, ailed with evil men and black hearts, and while the disease could never be cured... it could at least be resisted, and those afflicted potentially saved from the grasp of the virulent Dark Side. He stressed this could only be achieved by understanding the Force and by adhering to the way of the Jedi, to protect those who need shielding from the darkness, to be serene and steadfast in the face of evil... but always doing what you felt was right, for this was the Force acting through you, and no code should ever stop you from ever upholding Justice.

Leah left Hoth not only with many of his ideals, but also aspects of his nature reinforced by the isolation and serenity of their icy home. After so long with just her Master and her sister, her social skills are something to be desired and she often finds herself retreating to the safety of her personal vessel... where it is a constant cool temperature and ALWAYS a comfortable level of quiet. This makes her ability to maintain friends or even make new ones difficult, as she can shy from such interactions by having too much of a filter and feeling like she has not enough to talk about- instead her mind would rather find solace in a book. However once she has made a friend, a true friend, they can always count on Leah to be by their side. She has a similar ethic when working with others on missions... prepared to do all she can to protect those serving with her- this has lead to her being unwilling to abandon those who are injured, and has been unable to reconcile having been forced to do so in the past. Due to this, while she is willing to protect those around her, she is always wary of joining a mission for fear she may face that situation again, unable to bare the thought of being forced to abandon someone else.

At the heart of her, Leah is a warrior for Justice with a gentle soul. Strong in the Force and a fierce lightsaber fighter, she will do everything she can to fight back the darkness... but she longs inwardly for a connection to another person. With so many years in the snow, the Galaxy is so impossibly large it has left Leah with almost nothing but her sense of right and wrong to work from and as such many just know Leah as a "White Knight" of sorts, wandering the cosmos doing what good she can. In truth she longs for some sense of normality, to have friends, and perhaps even a lover... even though the prospect of actually talking to people can scare Leah more than she can care to admit. As such she has thrust herself into her hobby of tinkering and mechanics to which she is naturally gifted- she often roams the outer rim indulging this hobby, working in droid and vehicle garages as a means of distracting herself.

And so, her Journey begins...

COMBAT BODYGLOVE
The bodyglove (pictured above) is Leah's standard operations gear, preferring the protection, speed, and flexibility it allows over those of standard Jedi Robes. The Suit is often concealed by a long leather coat when she is walking among civilians when on missions in populated locations, and the waistband works in conjunction with magnetic locks on her lightsabers to attach without the use of clamps. It can take a shot from a small blaster and handle some environmental dangers, overall the suit is practically tough in a fight, but it cannot deflect the slash of a lightsaber.

TWIN CURVED LIGHTSABERS
Leah's prized possessions, the twin sabers are a cool frosty blue in colouration and were forged with great care by Leah during her time on Hoth under the tutelage of her Master, with one using a particular piece of her Master's saber as a gift- its rather aggressive Saber-guard. The twin sabers hum in resonance with one another upon activation, as though they are as linked to each other as they are to their creator. When only one saber is being used however, she tends to use "Wampa", the Lightsaber equipped with the guard... with its sister blade "Rayboo" reserved almost exclusively for dual saber combat.

ANCESTRAL LEATHER LONGCOAT
Given to her by her Master, this midnight black coat is made from the hide of a mighty beast and was handed through his family for generations, normally passed to the son, before the coat was passed to Leah. It is durable, lightweight, comfortable, and strangely ideal for cold climates... it is worn by Leah when she is out in the field among civilians, as a way to obscure her combat attire and her lightsabers. When it isn't worn, it is kept with a degree of reverence in the cabin of her personal vessel.

"LUCKY" SPANNER
Kept close in her casual gear, normally stuffed in a boot, it hardly sees much use but she claims it brings her good fortune.

CASUAL GEAR
Leah has two outfits that she usually prefers to wear casually, depending on her mood. These two "usual" outfits consist of the following:
Tinkers Garb: Worn when she indulges her hobby of tinkering and mechanics; it consists of loose fitting, mucky, mechanics gear including a tanktop, heavy boots, and combat pants full of tools and nuts and bolts. Its very much her "At Home" choice of outfit.
Sleeveless Bodyglove: Matte black and equipped with durasteel forearm guards, fingerless gloves, a brow leather pouch belt, and boots- it is the outfit that she will often wear out when she can relax, enjoying the freedom she feels wearing it after years of being forced to wrap up in furs.

BIOGRAPHY
[fancybox4="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d2/Hothplanetsurface.jpg"] Leah has had a rough history, beginning arguably on the very the she was born on the Moon of Bogden, Kohlma. She had always known, or at least believed, the bedtime stories told to her and her younger sister in her youth were the tales of her parents exploits... with her favourite being the tale of what she knew in her heart to be her birth- it was so full of adventure and suspense it always had her clutching the covers in anticipation as she listened to her mother or father spin the tale. They spoke of a Sith and a Jedi who fell in love and retreated from the Galaxy, working together instead to slay monsters and protect the innocent... and their final battle came when a fallen Jedi, who had hunted them to the ends of space, came to defeat his nemesis, and take her baby to be his apprentice. The Fallen Jedi was vanquished and the Jedi gave birth to a Princess, born on a ghostly world... in an event that her mother said "shined light in the darkness of a haunted moon." While Leah could never confirm it, she always believed it was the tale of her birth... it made her smile to remember her parents so heroically, but worry to think of this 'Fallen Jedi'

At the age of two she was gifted with a sister, Ellyia, and the two would become inseparable, sharing a bond even their parents recognised was special... and when the tragedy struck their family, it is arguable that it was this bond that sustained them. At the age of six was when Leah's life changed forever. She and her family were assaulted by an unknown force as they traveled through space in a hurry... for reasons that, to this day, Leah does not know. Their attacker emerged from the darkness as if it was formed from its inky blackness and ravaged and unleashed hell upon their vessel with such speed and fury they could barely defend themselves, and were instead forced to evade... their attacker, unrelenting and barely wounded, took out their engines and sent their vessel spiraling into the frozen wastes of the only planet near them. Hoth. Her parents battled to stabilize the craft as it hurtled to the earth, beaten on all sides by an all consuming snowstorm that seemed hellbent to ensure they failed. Despite the wounds and the very forces of the world working against them, they succeeded in activating the engines enough to calm their descent by a fraction and Leah felt a sense of safety overcome her as she shielded her sister. But it was short lived. With screech of twisting metal that still rings in Leah's ears to this day, she witnessed the cockpit break away from the ship, and the wind took a grip upon their mother with it malevolent fingers and dragged her with it, cast away upon the gales of the storm that raged like a hurricane all around them. Their mother disappeared forever in an instant.

They crashed with enough noise to cause avalanches and were surrounded by fires so bright the night sky was illuminated for what seemed like miles as a bright spot in the middle of a cold dead void. Ellyia was the first thing Leah saw as she came to, splattered with blood and eyes full of tears, desperately trying to rouse her sister... and they embraced once the world "welcomed" Leah back into its vile grip. They found their Father impaled on debris... he told them he loved them, and guided them to find the winter gear they had packed in the hold... which luckily for them was one of the few things left untouched by the destruction. Their Father died a little while later... after telling them how much he loved them, but a secret he sought to impart upon them about the truth of their journey died on his lips as the last breath left his body... leaving both sisters confused and left in the dark for years to come.

They remained for days in that ruined vessel, clinging to what warmth they could gather and rationing out the food that remained in the cargo hold... though secretly Leah ensured her sister got the larger rations. It would be after five days of struggling that they were faced with what they considered the impossible. They were faced with a visitor. A Kiffar male, riddled with scars, and bearing the faded blue markings of a clan long dead... a fearsome sight to the young children, but he exuded an aura of calm and light that helped ease their fears, and he introduced himself as Vaun. He had heard the explosion before he saw the flames of their freshly crashed ship, and began the long journey to search for survivors. After some discussion he convinced them to come with him, and he would facilitate their evacuation from the planet. Once they agreed the three began their five day journey back to Vaun's home, and it proved to be one of the most challenging times of the young girls' lives. On the fourth day as the hope filled in the girls chests, disaster struck. In a suddenly flurry of limbs and snow, Vaun found himself thrown from the sister as a Wampa rose to face the Children. Leah would be forever scarred by the beast as she lunged infront of her sister, taking the raking of its claws across her back with such force it cast her into the snow in a growing pool of crimson- yet as she saw the beast descend upon her sister, something dormant in the elder Valkyrius rose up, and with a scream of fear she reached out her hand... and the Force answered her desperate plea. Channeling the Force, Leah pushed the Wampa back several feet, and before it could regain itself it found its heads rolling from its shoulders- and Vaun stood over its fallen corpse, green lightsaber ignited. Then everything went dark.
Leah awoke within a home carved out of the ice and her upper body wrapped and attended to. She was alone, or so she thought, before she finally noticed Vaun sat by the bottom of her bed, and her sister asleep in an alcove in the wall beside them. He revealed to Leah the truth of her nature, and confessed to her that he was a Jedi who had exiled himself to Hoth long ago to be away from the Galaxy. To him their encounter could not have been chance, but the will of the Force... and so he offered her a choice: stay here and be trained in the ways of the force as his apprentice, or, he would arrange transport off world as originally promised. After three days of deliberation and healing, Leah accepted the offer... but only after being pushed to by her sister.

For years the three stayed together carving out a living in the unforgiving snow as Leah trained under her new Master, quickly gaining a grasp on the Force, showing a natural affinity to use it... it was strong within her, and when he found out their family name, there was a look of recognition on his face that Leah never forgot. Over the many years the three grew close and looked upon Vaun as a Father, and he in turn, saw them as Daughters... and as the last of his clan, a Patriarch to a now dead family line, he extended them another offer. He offered to adopt them, to confirm the bond of family and unite them truly- they needed no time to think, and readily they accepted, taking on his blue markings with pride. They had bonded forever, and were forever family.
Once Leah completed her training, Vaun gifted her with the saber guard of his blade and the heirloom beast coat of his family in celebration which she took happily, but they would be parting gifts. Vaun sent Leah away... to officially join the Jedi. Ellyia remained with Vaun, and joined him in his travels, his self imposed exile now finally dispelled.
Now bearing the title of Jedi Knight, Leah travels the galaxy putting her gifts and talents to use helping those that need it most and helping to keep the peace. But she feels something calling from the void, a creeping phantasm, ominously growing larger and closer... and she fears the day of its arrival.

Nice write-up and very thorough. One question I often ask people is "what would cause this person to flop?" I am not sure I am seeing that as much and it might be nice to see that. Strengths/weaknesses section, or however you want to define that. But thought I'd mention it. Again, good stuff!
