Tiamat was starting to feel the annoyance in Morgan's irritation. She was uncertain what he was searching for, emphasizing he was dating Emryc, which still sounded absurd. He described they had been together for some time and she picked up her glass, taking another drink as he described knowing how Emryc was. Tiamat of course shook her head in disagreement to him knowing how Emryc is like and things were not adding up to the seven years she had known him. Morgan was absolutely certain he knew his dynamics in the "relationship".

Well, that may have been true, but she was wondering if this 'relationship' were legitimate, how much of it was just Morgan's perception. She slowly swirled the wine in her glass, now a bit more curious if Morgan was one who tried to tame the fire that was Emryc and instead was allowing himself to be consumed by the flames. Eyebrows slowly rose again as she still didn't say anything in response as Morgan continued, his next explanation as to the confusion to her reaction.

So he came here to just make her cry? Did he not trust what she knew of Emryc? And instead to slam the nail into her heart for what purpose? She did not like this.

"What isn't there to laugh at, this just sounds so absurd, because this is not Emryc." she explained, "He's so casual, its easy to see what you want to see, Morgan." Tiamat continued and eyebrow rose with a coy smile, "A monogamous relationship I assume between you two?" she tilted her head slightly and then she bit her lip, shaking her head in disagreement. For one, Emryc had no qualms with the kriffing they did around her apartment. "Mm-no, there's no way."

Tiamat gave a shrug after a pause, "But, believe what you want, enjoy it now, it won't last. Unless you take the extreme like you did with Malicia, plenty more lovers to busy yourself with removing."

Goldens glanced to the side as Tia spoke again then back to her face, taking a drink of wine. Just as the red-headed Sith was analyzing him she was being analyzed in turn. Every word and expression was considered and turned over, compared to others, stitched together. She'd expressed repeatedly, insistently, that the whole concept was absurd. Her attitude toward it irritated him to no end not just because of her mocking tone but because from his perspective it was the simple truth.

Reasons why were written between her words. It sounds absurd, he's so casual, easy to see what you want to see, a fool's dream. Playing on a hope, taking a risk, believing there could be something more. Tiamat had known Emryc a long time and struggled with her feelings for him. She and Morgan had talked about it directly or indirectly more than once. From her perspective it must truly sound absurd. It wasn't some game, she was serious.

Speaking of monogamy sent a small, brief pang through his chest. It was less of a reaction than Morgan himself expected and more than he wanted it to be which only confused him further. His expression had even been shifting toward his default, temper steadily simmering down.

Right up until Malicia was mentioned and that feeling of jealousy spiked along with anger, guilt, and hurt. The Firrerreo's skin slipped toward a deeper silver, the muscles of his face tense and eyes sharply narrowed. How he'd handled that whole situation had been extreme in some ways, flawed even with the reasoning that led to his break in patience. Bringing it up was a painful reminder of his failures. Iron fingers tightened against his legs and razor fangs flashed behind curling lips that parted to let slip a biting reply.

"What happened then won't be repeated. Yo-!" Then he froze in place midway through leaning forward. Morgan remembered the look on Renfry's face when they'd briefly spoken about Emryc aboard the Voyager, of Tiamat leaving the soup shop on Eriadu. He recalled how Kaia, his closest childhood friend, had reacted to the realization he already loved someone else. He thought back to a wounded half-Sephi laying in a hospital bed in need of comfort. This lesson was already learned.

After a few silent seconds Morgan's mouth snapped shut and his gaze abruptly left Tiamat and gave a blank space on the wall a look like it'd done him a great personal wrong. Slowly he leaned back against the couch armrest, right arm coming up to rest along its back. The corners of his lips twitched upward.

Then he was laughing, the musical sound resounding off the walls tainted by hints of bitterness. The prince had always been proud and self-confident, not the type to act defensively on jealousy or let it linger like poison. Not until he'd learned about the marriage together with everything else that happened. Not until boundaries that hadn't been spoken about were crossed.

"Absurd, aha!" Morgan got out between breaths, cheeks faintly brushed in flushed red shades of wine. "I truly do have more boy troubles than you." It took a little for the laughter to fade and afterwards he was still grinning, skin nearly its usual shade. He coughed lightly a couple times into a raised sleeve. The Force coiled around Tiamat's wine bottle and topped up her glass to around three-fourths full.

"What we see as 'Emryc' is different," he declared matter-of-factly, a subtly glossed fingernail tapping against his glass. "I trust your experiences, Tia. I also believe what he tells me." Morgan waved his free hand through the air as if sweeping something aside. "I'm telling you out loud he has a boyfriend so we can speak openly." He paused a moment, critically considering their paired reflection in the holo screen. "But it's still awkward. No?"

Golden eyes returned to Tiamat and glimmered with a playfully mischievous energy. "At least the sex is great. Is that not so?" Morgan sipped his wine.

He went to defend his choice to what he did to Malicia and how it was not going to happen again. However, Tiamat could feel her trust dwindling from him, something did not feel right, the way he spoke, he acted, to be irritated with her and now reflective. Her brow narrowed and then relaxed, but the undertone he spoke with made instinct ring with alarm bells as she searched for his motive. Her blue gaze watched as her own wine bottle was lifted by Morgan's control, refilling her glass, not that she didn't mind as she took another drink, her eyes returned to Morgan as he started to laugh.

He started to tell her they saw a different Emryc, but for the redhead, she was not convinced and curiosity bit as to just exactly what has Emryc told Morgan and was Morgan understanding Emryc as to how he wanted him to understand him. There were many questions, but it seemed like it was entirely too messy, nor did she feel it was still any of her business. Knowing what she knew now, she wasn't even sure she felt comfortable talking to Morgan about her troubles.

The dynamic has changed.

Tiamat took a long drink from her glass, nearly emptying it, her gaze falling on her books across the room, "Yes, awkward." she replied flatly, there was no amusement in her tone and she drained her glass as he quipped with a comment she had said to him not too long ago regarding sex.

"I think its time for you to leave." she stated firmly.
