Because BLTs are fantastic. <3

Sup? Sapphic here. I made a character before I said hi because I'm an overeager beaver like that.

Let's see...

I've been RPing Star Wars since, like, forever. Since dial-up, more or less. xD Late 20s now, and figured I'd give it a shot again. Places I used to RP shut down over time and I slowly lost interest. I started writing fan fiction, which has been great fun. Recently started with the Star Wars itch again (before Force Awakens came out. xD; ) and it seemed only fitting to include RPing as an option. I had narrowed it down to writing a "true" trilogy prequel fanfic series (and thus lots of writing a good Anakin Skywalker), or RP Ada. Ada's been bouncing around my head for the last year or so. Tried RPing her on another site, but the people were... ridiculously slow about posting, to say the least.

The idea is to RP out her childhood with people and let the story and players take her where she goes, either to Sith or Jedi or smuggler or pirate, or whatever. Probably end up being Sith or Jedi eventually, and as she progresses, just kinda put her in a "time bubble" everyone once in awhile to age her up so I can actually play with an adult character eventually (and kinda hand-wave the wibbly wobbly timey wimey-ness of her childhood. xD )

I mentioned it in the character sheet, but anyone can tell me if this would be cool or not, that'd be appreciated. I'll flesh out her profile a bit more and then get started RPing somewhere. xD

it's gonna be fun! ;P

Hello! And welcome aboard this deranged-train we call a site!

Anyway, if you want to rp one characters full life, I,d suggest bumping her age up a bit. I've never really seen us keep track of time in a given timeline.

Welcome to the site! Looking forward to RPing with you!

Basically, the timeline works on a fluid measurement, meaning we can place events where we want in the time line as long as it's reasonable. So, while it may be difficult to have a character's lifespan roleplayed, I know it's been done, and it would be possible.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't interested in playing her full life. Just some of her teen years for a year or two and then onto 18+-hood. xD

Honestly, I thought about keeping her a bit younger, but 13 seemed a nice middle ground. Ideally, I was thinking by a year of RPing, she'd be 16, and then another year or so, she'd be classified as an "adult". But it's ideally. If not, I'll still enjoy playing a little street rat urchin child. xD Something I haven't done, so it should be fun. :P

That's an interesting idea. I have Alrah on a few other sites, but she's never been under about 22-ish. This[19] is the youngest I've ever had her. I'm sending you a message because ideas and everything.

Welcome, @Sapphic (you over achiever!)

Personally, nine years old CP is very young. I honestly why folks prefer to RP such young characters, but to each his/her own! You're not braking any forum rules.

Cheers.

@Padmé Er, I think I phrased that out correctly. xD; I don't believe I've ever said nine? I'd actually go for a 10 year old because I find the influence of a galactic world on a young mind to be interesting and Star Wars has pumped out lots of interesting child characters over the years, but 13 seemed a more acceptable middle between very young and old enough to age up later without raising too many eyebrows about its wibbly wobbliness.

I'm actually not sure why you would wonder why people prefer to play young characters. Lots of writers love the idea playing a coming of age child and writing about those formative years. Young adult literature is full of young teens, and children's literature is written by adults and often read by adults. And er, my question wasn't if I was breaking any rules, but simply if the time bubble effect I'm fond of would be allowed. Her age I never questioned. *shrug*

@Sapphic
Derp >.> I read "teen" as nine. You wouldn't understand how my brain got that so, never mind. Also my comments were simply me thinking out loud; not necessarily me calling you out.
