Lightning Become my Blade... (Training Thread)

Alma moved to sit down at her master's side; not speaking for a few moments thereafter. Her voice was confident and thoughtful, "I'm not sure yet; I think I need to see more before I decide."

 

[Malon]

Siri nodded; it was reasonable for Alma to answer this way, considering she'd been with the Jedi a little over a week. Still, Siri couldn't help but be proud of her student. For someone who'd been with the Jedi for such a short time, she had grown incredibly quickly, grasped the basics of the Force and lightsaber concept, and even faced down the dark side of the Force.

With a happy sigh, Siri stood up and unclipped her lightsaber from her utility belt and placed her thumb on the ignition.

"One final question, Alma. Throughout your training and what you've learned from me; what does being a Jedi now mean to you?"

 

[Takeshi]

Alma looked at her master from the corner of her eye, before murmuring, "I'm still working on that, but for now... being a Jedi means helping find peace and defending life, even at your own personal expense." Her hand shifted slightly at her side as she finished.

 

[Malon]

Siri didn't give Alma time to react. She thumbed the ignition of her lightsaber and moved with blinding speed, slicing off Alma's Padawan braid.

"Welcome to the Order of the Jedi, Knight Alma." she said with a warm smile.

 

[Takeshi]

Alma turned and smiled at her now former master. Wanting to hug her for what it was worth, but deciding that a bow would be more appropriate.

 

[Malon]

Siri felt her former Padawan's joy through the Force, allowing a smile to cross her face. As the two turned to return to the ship, Siri decided to leave Alma with one last thing.

"From now on, you'll be charged with the duties of a Knight. Training other Jedi, preforming Jedi missions, and helping those in need. However, should you ever feel overwhelmed or in need of advice. You know where to find me."

And with that, the two boarded the ship and headed home to Coruscant.
