Tyrus looked over his shoulder to check that X'jan was still behind him, then stuck his head inside the door in front of him to make sure the room was not in use. It was about 10 meters square, with no furniture. Seeing it was empty, he entered and strode to the opposite side of the room, a few meters away from the wall. He removed his cloak and other excess clothing that may restrict him, pulling it over his head, careful not to dislodge his goggles. That done, he grasped his training lightsaber and turned to face X'jan.

"Ready?"

X'jan enter the room behind Tyrus, but not before turning the light switch on.
"You know, you should really start turning light switches on. For the convenience of other people," he said, then realized something. "Actually, maybe I should turn them off for the convenience of others. I think I left the one in the other training room on."
After getting over that, X'jan placed the holocron by the door to the training room, hoping he wouldn't forget that too, and got out his light saber, turning it on, and go into a defensive stance.
"Ready."

Tyrus briefly adopted the Soresu opening stance, pointing his blade toward his opponent's chest. He then thrust his saber arm forward, towards his opponents left side, pulling the attack at the last moment and flicking the blade up and around to his opponent's right, trying to tag his arm. He then took a step back and entered the brace-ready stance, feet spread and the hilt of his training saber a short distance from his hip.

X'jan had quickly gotten into the Djem So attack stance, holding his lightsaber above his head, and begun to preform the "Falling Avalanche" attack as the holocron had called it. His resulted in the two lightsabers connecting, with Tyrus' being pushed back towards him from the power of X'jan's blow. Following this, X'jan push Tyrus' lightsaber off to his left, while spinning 'round in the opposite direction and shouldering Tyrus in an attempt to knock him off balance.
"I take it we aren't bothering to use the force?" He inquired.

Tyrus leaned to the left, keeping saber close to his body, and feinted catching X'jan's blow, ensuring the other lightsaber wouldn't hit him before deactivating his blade, using the momentum of his opponent's attack against him. This didn't go so well, as Tyrus misjudged the movement, causing the tip of X'jan's lightsaber to brush his shoulder for a superficial, yet still painful, hit. Then X'jan's shoulder hit him, knocking him backwards. Fortunately they were both off-balance, so it didn't cost Tyrus any further. He re-ignited his saber and keeping a short distance between them swung a tight blow toward his opponent's exposed back, putting a burst of speed into his attack with the force.

"Whatever you wish."

X'jan has misjudged his attack too, putting too much force into his attack, making him so off balance he spun round and landed on his back, now with a nasty burn on his head from Tyrus' attack. X'jan had managed to drop his lightsaber during the fall, leaving him defenseless against another attack.
"Anything I want, eh?" He said, using the force to pull Tyrus' cloak towards him and over his head, creating a distraction while ran grabbed his lightsaber, jumping up and swinging his lightsaber at the same time.

Tyrus was confused at first then smirked as he realized X'jan had forgotten his method of seeing. He ignored the cloak and stepped back, holding his blade in a two-handed grip. As the other blade came near him he deflected it to the left, holding it there with his own blade while he kicked out with his opposite foot, following up the kick with a horizontal slash left to right. He spun 360 degrees, the action sending the cloak flying off to one side, and come around ready to block.

"Force Sight..." Mumbled X'jan as he used Force Speed to jump backwards, still taking some of Tyrus' kick. Once his lightsaber was free, and Tyrus was swinging at him, he leaned backwards even further, gaining another burn anyway, and forced Tyrus' swing into his own leg before he could take it back. He followed this with another swing, right to left, which was blocked by Tyrus, bringing them into a saber lock. Continuing the attack, X'jan ducked below Tyrus' saber with enhanced speed from the Force, and attempted an uppercut.

Tyrus winced as the tip of his saber brushed his leg, before catching X'jan's next blow and locking sabers with him. When X'jan attempted to uppercut him he held his training saber horizontally and thrust forward into the oncoming blade, pushing the other padawan back a pace. He flinched a little as X'jan's blade came within an inch of his face.

"Hold it," He spoke before X'jan could launch another attack. Tyrus was sweating from his exertions. "How about we call it a day?"

Tyrus deactivated his saber and clipped it to his belt, then reached out for his cloak.

"Already?" X'jan smiled, "I'm just getting started, but if it's too much for you, I guess I'll have to stop..."
Seeing his taunts were having no effect, X'jan deactivated his lightsaber and clipped it to his belt, and used the Force to grab the holocron from by the door. He only fumbled it once this time.
