OOC: This is a Non-Violent thread between myself and @Defiance, with possibly two other players (awaiting confirmation) - and is therefore not open to other players at this time.

ryloth.jpg

Location: Ryloth
Time: Immediately after the Art of the Deal

With haste, the shuttle catapulted itself into space above the planet of Ryloth, its occupants, a droid, and a nearly dead Hutt Crime Baron urgently seeking to get off world as fast as possible. Groaning with agony, Nor'baal Vesajilic desperately attempted to apply Bacta Gel to his wounds to stop the bleeding, but to no avail. Following the unprovoked attack on his personage the Hutt had been severely injured, sporting two savage wounds, taking out half of his head (including an eye), and the tip of his tail. If they could make it to a medical facility, then the Hutt would survive.

In the cock-pit the Droid had already messaged a head, and the Hutts Majordomo, Mar Kreeta, was poised to intercept them, alongside their imperial associate, unaware of the state of his master. The message, a banking transaction, that was in-fact a code phrase to call in Imperial Reinforcements, had been intercepted, or had failed to send - right now the Hutt didn't care which was the case. As such, he had been relatively powerless to stop the attack from Vica, who had seen he had sent the message, and without bothering to read it, attacked.

The message had not sent, and was stuck on his Data-Pad - one that contained basic information about one of his bank accounts which he used for ship purchases - which he had left behind in the panic. It had been agreed with his contacts in the Sith Empire that Nor'baal would hand over Vica, and in return the Planet Thyferra would be returned to Hutt Control. Of course, ratting out a fellow Cartel member was not something the Hutt would normally do, until of course the Sith had provided him with proof that she was actually a Sith Lord, and the Imperial Spymaster who had defected and attacked the Imperial Palace to boot.

Vica was a traitor, plain and simple, and in return for turning over a traitor, the Cartel would get back the single most valuable planet in the galaxy. Only a handful of beings in the Cartel knew of Nor'baals deal, Mar Kreeta, his aide, and Nor'baal himself.

The Shuttle mad contact with Mar Kreetas space yacht, and the attachment door opened, Mar himself looking rather cocky as the door opened. ''I've had your celeb.....mother of....'' he began, his face dropping when he saw the state of his master. He rushed forwards, ordering the droid staff to assist him. What the hell had happened? he through to himself, as his master pawed at him, muttering desperately to himself.

''
Vica....Eris....Traitor.'' came the words from the Hutts mouth as he was dragged into the ships medical station. Mar stabled his master, before dashing to the piloting station, and plotting a course for Nal Hutta, for only there would they find the medical stations adequate for his master needs. Returning to his masters side, he waited for the Imperial Contact to enter, his eyes never leaving the monitoring station next to the injured Hutt, jolting a bit as the vessel kicked into light speed.

It was clear that his master had been attacked, they just had to sort the facts out. Regardless of the way he was attacked, the evidence of Vicas true identity was not widely known in the Cartel, and Mar had no qualms about ensuring it became public. Vica had clearly tried to kill his master, for nobody else would have left saber wounds. They needed to contact the Hutt Council the moment they could, and he readied a transmission to send the moment he could.

Doors sliding open, a slim, malnourished figure entered the lounge, clad in dark robes. Devoid of all hints of hair about his countenance, the figure traipsed towards the Hutt and servant, expressionless. Skin sulking about his face in mishapen wrinkles, his eyes gazed upon his contact, relinquishing no signal of surprise nor remorse. For a moment, the messenger stood silent, observing the damage done to his contact. A hint of irritation crossed his face. He spoke, his voice every bit as worn as his visage.

"Nor'baal the Hutt."

Tones of anger leaked into his message.

"Elaborate as to why we find ourselves here, aboard your ship..." He took a brief pause, to all but draw out the distaste of ship.

"...all but short of the traitor in which was agreed upon?"

Mar looked up as the Imperial Contact entered the room, hiding his anger at the mans mannerism from his face - perhaps now was not the best time to show it. Gently, he woke his master up using the medical equipment, and slowly the Hutt eyes opened, hazy from the painkillers. ''Excellency, the contact wishes to know what happened.'' he said in a hushed tone. Finding it hard to speak, the Hutt whispered to Mar, who in turn stood and spoke to the Imperial.

Moving toward the man, so as to not disturb the Hutt, he spoke ''My Master was attacked by Vica, without warning. He had summoned her to his residence on Ryloth, only for her to attack him without reason. My Master attempted, before the attack, to notify us of her presence, using the coded bank transmission signal as we had planned - but it was jammed.''

He spoke in a more hushed tone now ''It is apparent from the evidence that Vica came to my Master intending to kill him, hence the attack. We must get him to Nal Hutta, and inform the Hutt Lords of her true identity, this outrageous act by Vica must go to trial.'' Mar finished, returning to his Masters side, as he awaited a reply from the Imperial. His Master was not in a good condition, and if he was to be able to appear before the Hutt Courts, he needed to get to a medical station.

The Imperial agent snarled, a ghastly image. Lips creased about his wrinkles in a frown, his hairless head contracting in rage. His agitation only widened at the servant's approach. The agent waved a gnarled hand about him. "Incompetence! Containing the traitor was your only task." He stopped, composing himself a little more. Emotion slowly leaked from his personage as the agent struggled to keep calm.

"Had you contacted us beforehand, we would have secured the package ourselves. And your..." The agent stopped to find the words. "...losses. They would have been avoided."

His swelling over, the agent removed his gaze from the creature off to the observation windows. His voice shrunk, now exhibiting a disappointing lament.

"You have cost a great deal, Hutt."

Clearly the elderly man was getting angry - and with good reason - but Mar was not having it, his master needed rest, not harassment. Having just been struck by two light-sabers, Nor'baal was hardly in a condition to have an argument with their Imperial contact. Instead, Mar steered the man out of the medical room and into the lounge, having the dossier that the two parties had bought out of his safe room. It detailed the full extend of Vica's crimes, as well as her exploits as a Sith Lord and links to the Imperium as a Spy-Master, and was of course one of several copies the Hutt had ordered to be made.

''On the contrary Sir, the situation, whilst not ideal, may still work in your favor. Whilst my Master failed to contain the traitor, he has in fact secured her a death sentence at the most. This attack justifies me to contact the Hutt Council, and press charges against Eris - or should I say Vica - on charges of treachery and attempted murder.'' he said, opening the secure case after putting in a 14 digit code, retina scan and a thumb-print scan.

Folders came out of the case, several hard drives, and two Data-Pads, and the man put them down on the desk in front of him. Tapping one folder, he said ''Proof of her identity.'' his hand moved over another ''Her service record.'' finally he moved to point to the data-pads ''Proof of her position as spy-master, and documentation of her work in this role, as well as proof she was also part of the Hutt Cartel under another guise, alongside proof of her involvement in the attack in her Imperial Majesties Palace.'' he smirked before saying ''Not that much would be needed given her broadcast.''

A second, identical case was brought out of the safe room, and he spoke to the man again ''This is a replica of this case, I have several. I need you to keep this one safe in case Vica or her allies attempt to sabotage the trial.''

He stopped, checking the time to arrival at Nar Shaddaa, and more importantly when he would be able to send his message before turning to the man ''We have a chance to name and shame her, and see her exiled or killed from the Cartel - who most likely will hand her over willingly into your....care. However, the Security of my Master is also vital, as without him, continuing the case will be almost impossible. As well as this, any other information you can provide about Vica would be very well received.
