It was a little warm here, well less warm more moist, everything was damp. Even when the sun broke through the giant trees to give a little more heat everything still stayed damp. "Maybe they should call it the Damp Moon of Endor." Syn said out loud chuckling to herself, though no one was listening, only the birds and the insects floating around. Perhaps there was a few bigger things hanging around in the bushes, waiting to pounce and kill her, but she doubted they could understand basic, let alone her amazing joke. A stream cut through the trees and she was following it, every so often kicking her feet through its slow moving current splashing water around making the Damp Moon of Endor ever more damp.

The Sith Acolyte has come to this delightful pile of damp mud floating through the emptiness of space looking for a new pet. Everyone needed company in their life even Sith and even though Syn had a pet already she believed both herself and her first pet could do with a friend. She remembered back to her previous life where a couple of space junkers told the tale of the Gorax of Endor, and well it sounded pretty cute, so she had to have one.

Syn skipped through the jungle, towards the mountains where the Gorax could possibly be found, the ship she had 'commandeered' was a way back, the forest floor to thick to land closer. A
lightblue Wagasa, concealed her rather unique lightsaber, the colour blending in with her long blue braid. Heavy boots, thick dark jeans and a tank top completed the outfit as she wondered towards her new friend.

Endor, well it's moon at least, had always been Narpoos home. He had never left it, for over the nearly four decades he had lived, the need to do so had never arisen. Narpoo had always been content with his lot in life, a good family and a safe village was all the diminutive Ewok had ever asked for. Yet in the past few months, everything had changed, the once content and tranquil life he had carved for himself overshadowed by a spectre of gloom, and the thunder-laden clouds of anger.

Ever since his daughter had gone missing, Narpoo had prayed to the gods, and delved deeper and deeper into the thick jungles around the village, seeking a sign as to how he could save her, and bring her home. It had consumed his every waking hour, and so when the news had come to the village that an off-worlder was seeking a guide for a 'dangerous mission', Narpoo had been the first of the tribe's scouts to volunteer. Earlier that day he had taken up his gear and headed out to the designated meeting place, arriving thirty minutes early just to be on the safe side.

He travelled light, as he always did. A simple hood and a bandoleer, which held an animal hide sack slung over his torse. On the strap of the bandoleer, his knife was held in an unassuming pouch, a bow and quiver of arrows over his back, and a slingshot affixed to the twine belt about his waists, six stone contained in a small pouch on his left hip. In the sack itself, an assortment of rudimentary, but effective, medicines, as well as a firefighting kit, and some twine would be found. Finally, he held a spear in his hand, and a large club strapped to his back, nestling against the quiver.

Some in the village said he cut quite the figure of a fearsome hunter, and that did Narpoos ego a world of good.

Narpoo had watched from the branch of a tree as Syn skipped toward the mountains, covered as she was in deeply impractical clothes. Heavy boots that made a thick 'clunk' noise as they passed over rocks, a 'squelch' in the mud and a 'snap' in the thickets and branches that lay heavy on the forest floor. Lacking the robust fur of the Ewoks, a tank top left exposed skin, a veritable magnet for bugs. Narpoo sighed and shook his head - this was going to be a tough hunt.

Swinging down from the branch on a thick vine, he landed deftly behind Syn, and grunted, greeting her in Ewokese "Sku tyehtgeethin." he chirped, standing a few feet away from her and offering his new friend a small container of nut-paste from his belt "Narpoo." he pointed at his chest, indicating his name, before pointing at her and grunting.

Syn felt the movement more than saw it, that was the handy thing about having The Force, you didn't have to turn your head as much when stuff happened around you. The little fur child swung down from the trees above, landing behind the Sith. Turning on her feel she faced the little brown haired creature, spinning the Wagasa in her hand as she looked down on it. Fluffy, then decided to babble some kind of noise, was it trying to talk to her?

She cocked her head to one side as it tried to hand something to her, Syn didn't take it, just stood there a confused look on her face. Was this a baby Gorax? I mean it looked cute and fluffy enough to be one. "Awww... Cute, he has a little stick." She said to herself pointing at the spear on the Ewok's back. Did Gorax's have weapons, she thought they were a little more savage than that. Maybe this was a soft case, she didn't want a soft case.

"Gorax?" She asked pointing at the fluffy creature, maybe it was smart enough to know its name. That would make things a lot easier.

"Awww... Cute, he has a little stick." he practically beamed with pride as the off-worlder pointed at his pride-and-joy. Taking it off his back, he stamped the butt of the weapon onto the ground, and then lifted it above his head with both hands shouting "Klektuhkuh!" as he did so. Then he showed her the weapon, holding it in his right hand, pointing to bladed and end and making a motion of pouring something over it with his left hand.

"Kreepa eewa huuta-veen." he then stepped back, and made a slow jabbing motion with the spear, as if stabbing the air. Then, pretending the spear had hit him and gurgled and fell to the floor - staying still for a few seconds before leaping back up and exclaiming "Stick, eewa huuta-veen kill!" Narpoo was sure she understood his very clear explanation of the effectiveness of the weapon.

"Gorax?"

Narpoo had to admire the ekla'stra of this one, to go after a Gorax one her first outing! Normally an entire hunting party was needed to take a single Gorax down, the great beasts possessed of a crude intelligence that matched even the most pernicious of off-worlders. "Gorax!" he puffed out his chest, and stamped his feet, before pointing up in the sky, as if showing something taller than himself "Gorax. Booga!" he added, making it as clear as he could that the Gorax was much much larger than either of them.

Leaning on his spear, Narpoo tried to remember as much of his pidgin basic as he could. From the rare time's traders had come through the village, he knew but a few words "You errrr, to kill Gorax?" he nodded, making a thumbs up gesture and then pointing at himself, and then back to her "Narpoo - Narpoo help."

Although not much taller than the little fur creature, Syn knelt down to get closer to it as it done its little song and dance around its point stick. She giggled as Fluffy pretended to be dead, it was rather cute, maybe she should just keep him instead of the Gorax. Though it looked to be a little independent, if she did want it, she would need to break it first, no one wants a pet running off as soon as you take off the leash.

Syn's mind drifted off as it jumped back up and continued to spot his native tongue only when she heard it speak Basic was she pulled back to the present. She blinked a few times trying to make sure it wasn't her imagination, "You, errr, speak." She said tilting her head to the side, spinning the Wagasa in her hand as she did.

That made things easier. "No kill, capture." Syn said. "Want as pet." She continued whilst miming out, putting a collar on the imaginary beast and then walking it around the little clearing. "Narpoo help?"

A pet? Narpoo looked slightly stunned as Syn suggested she desired to keep the mighty Gorax as a pet, like some sort of tamed rodent. "Take?" he asked, just to be sure - perhaps more to make himself certain this was what she wanted.

He would need to adapt his plan. Syn could hardly keep the mighty Gorax as a pet if Narpoo had slain it!

Sitting down on a log, Narpoo had a little think, tapping the side of his head as he fell deep into his deliberations.

Perhaps some sort of snare-trap would work? Lure the Gorax out of its lair, and into swamp? Stun the Gorax with poisoned food? Or hit it on the head with a large rock? No - the latter was too dangerous, too large a rock, and the Gorax could perish.

After a short while Narpoo had come up with the plan.

"Cheepa, che waaka ne ne!" he said, eloquently explaining the multifaceted genius of his plan, before remembering Syn would have no idea what he was saying. WIth an exaggerated sigh, Narpoo motioned for her to follow him - she'd just have to trust that he had it all in paw hand.

Fluffy, seemed a little put out by her request to turn the Gorax into a pet and not a pelt. What she thought was concern or confusion crossed over his furry face as he sat down to try and ponder something, maybe a plan, maybe a way to run away. Whatever Fluffy was trying to do, she didn't really wanna wait around so whilst he was deep in thought on the log, Syn spun on her heels and began back up the stream again.

She wondered if Gorax have babies, if so how many, that maybe the easier option. Kill the parents steal the children, Syn was young herself and had time to let them grow into the magnificent beasts they would eventually be. She had just rounded the corner when she heard Fluffy shout something in his cute little language. Shame that she had no clue what he was on about and had also wondered off, possibly in the wrong direction, but hey at least it was better than sitting on a log.

Still somewhat struggling with the concept of not killing the mighty Gorax, Narpoo continued on his wander for a few steps, before realising that she hadn't come with him. Quickly, he turned and ran after her as fast as his little legs could carry him. Catching up with her after a few frantic moments, he grabbed her arm and squeaked - she was going the wrong way!

"Yeeta! Yeeta!" Narpoo lamented, pointing his furry hand in the other direction to the one she walked in, desperate for her understand. "Gorax, Gorax no -" he pointed and said "- north! Gorax north!" he added, pointing North and waving for her to follow.
